Detailed Reviews
Our second visit to the tides was as good as the first. The front desk staff of Julia,Mattie,David and Siboney are extremely welcoming and helpful-true professionals. The beach staff are great-ready to set up chairs, lounges and umbrellas to make the beach experience easy and pleasurable. The cleaning staff do a great job both with the rooms and keeping up with any requests. Our room was well decorated and had an abundance of towels and other amenities. Finally have to mention Deano the shuttle driver-prompt and entertaining as he got us to various restaurant on time.We will be back.

TBC has five star lodging figured out. You feel it from the moment you walk in the door to the moment your stay ends. An Inn situated in the Goose Rocks Beach Neigborhood , TBC has integrated old world architecture with high end design charm. The decor is on point, Beachy chic, rooms are fairly sized and spread out so you don’t hear your neighbors. Inn is situated across the street from the beach/ocean. The front desk team greets you with each pass of the desk willing to to help you with your stay. Rooms are cleaned daily with attention to any request you have. Breakfast pastries are dropped at the door daily . Bikes are available to ride around the neigborhood or to access amenities at the sister resort, Hidden Pond. At HP, you have access to the pool, spa, fitness classes . Recommend a hike with Jean on property. There is a shuttle available to guests to take you around KB. All around TBC is a special place with Top Notch service. Thanks to Robin, Amber, Ryan, Ivan & especially Noah for making our trip extra special. This is a must stay for anyone visiting the KB area. Txs again - the girls in room #204

My husband and I stayed at the Tides Beach Club Hotel for the eleventh time and as always, it was fabulous. We usually arrive early because we like to take advantage of a full day on the beach. You can always leave your luggage in your car, or the front desk will look after storage until check in.
We had never stayed in this room it was on the small side but had a lovely ocean view as well as a very generous and thoughtful welcome gift. We left the windows open at night to fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves. Our room was kept clean, and we never had to ask for towels they were always there when we got back from the beach.
There’s indoor and outdoor dining which includes an amazing front porch with ocean views (make a reservation on OpenTable). The bar area is stunning and conducive to meeting people and making new friends. Both the food and service are always good, and the mixed drinks are spectacular.
The Tides at Goose Rocks Beach is a very special place although nothing is perfect it comes close which is mainly due to the people that work there. They’re a great bunch and always eager to help, they make you feel like you’re part of the family.
We would like to send a shout-out to several remarkable people that made our stay one to remember (I apologize in advance for any misspelled names):
Ben, Amber, Dave, Julia, Leo, Robin, Corey, Ivan, Riyas and of course Chef Roma

In order to stay in Maine, my husband, adult son and I had to take a Covid test within 72 hours of traveling to the State and of course it had to come back negative. That's how badly we wanted to spend the July 4th weekend at the Tides Beach Club! The TBC sent us explanatory emails detailing the health procedures they are following to make their guests feel safe prior to our arrival and followed up with a phone call on our day of arrival. There are strict rules we were to follow...but that was ok. We were out of Massachusetts and away from our stay at home orders ready to enjoy some down time at "The Goose" (as we call the beach). TBC is an exceptional Inn in every way: during normal times, the service is excellent in every respect - from the accommodations to the dining to the beach service. But the small staff now managing the opening of this Inn after the shutdown is extraordinary. Their dedication and commitment to serve the guest went above and beyond. Our room was upgraded at no additional cost to us; the chef went out of his way in the morning to make us breakfast sandwiches when the usual breakfast right now is a bagged bfast filled with fresh fruit, juice, homemade muffin left at your door at 8:30 am. Our room had an adorable Turquoise colored Keurig for our morning coffee. Lunch is now served beginning at noon with a reservation. Our lunch was brought down to the beach! Little things the staff attended to for us meant so much and never went unnoticed. There is no housekeeping at this time but we kept the room tidy, bed made daily; freshly laundered towels were delivered to us in a plastic bag at our door every day. We noticed tables, chairs, other surfaces constantly being sanitized. We were given designated beach chairs (marked with name and room number) to use for the duration; each night, the chairs are sanitized and put away til we retrieved the next morning. We just weren't sure how a hotel stay would be right now but we were so pleasantly surprised. The high quality of service, attitude and willingness by the staff to make us as comfortable as possible was so appreciated. A special Thank You to Meg, Allison and the other staff members (sorry about not knowing everyone's name). Job well done!!

The Tides Bearch Club is in a beautiful setting across from the great beach and so it is an enjoyable location, particularly since it is the only option in that area of Kings Highway.
That said, this is no longer a hotel with a restaurant; it is a restaurant with some rooms upstairs. There is not a single square foot of common space devoted to guests. It is all set up - all the time - as restaurant seating. The rooms are small so if you can perchance get a chair on the deck from the many people coming in for drinks, lunch or dinner, you will be lucky. The restaurant is always full in the evenings, and there is not preference given to hotel guests. If you like living in a restaurant, this is the place.

Thank you for your review about your recent stay at The Tides Beach Club. We are pleased to learn that you enjoyed the area and were able to spend time on our beautiful stretch of beach. We are sorry to hear that you felt the common areas and restaurant were crowded. We are a popular spot amongst locals as well as hotel guests and we do our best to accommodate everyone, but it does tend to fill up during our busy season. We highly value all of our guests and patrons and want to do our best to ensure each individual enjoys their time at our property. If you are ever to stay with us again, please let us know what we can do to make your stay more peaceful and comfortable. We thank you again for your comments and hope to welcome you to Tides again sometime in the future. Sincerely, Ophelia Muradian General Manager Tides Beach Club

Just took a little beach getaway and stayed here. It had been 10 years or so since I'd done that. It was just lovely. Even though it was early in the season and the staff was just getting used to their jobs, they were friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. Very impressed with them.
The room was excellent, and they've added some amenities since I'd last been in. For one, they now have fridges and Keurigs in-room, which I really appreciated. The bed was squooshy and luxurious (no change there!) and I could've stayed in it for days. The shower was great - big rainwater shower head and built-in Jonathan Adler shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The food was, as usual, very good. Even when I'm not staying at The Tides, I always make my way in for a few lobster rolls. The lobster chowder was also delicious.
Fantastic experience! I'll be back.

My wife and I just returned from a 5-day vacation to The Tides. It was an outstanding experience.
First off - we had incredible weather with 80 degree temperatures and sunny. The Tides offers a great Beach Tender service where they provide chairs and umbrellas and tables and towels so you dont need to bring anything with you on vacation. The staff on the beach was courteous and prompt and enjoyed learning more about them and their endeavours!
The hotel itself has a very beachy vibe to it, and the manager, Amber, could not have been more welcoming. She made sure that our stay was enjoyable and problem free. From ensuring Shuttle drop off and pick ups in town, to helping arrange dinner reservations, and constantly checking in. it made the entire week very relaxing!
We stayed in room 204. If you havent been to Tides, they have different unique rooms from smaller queen bed setups, to large ocean front with Balcony. Our room was a nice size with a King bed, and sitting area that included a pullout couch and 2 chairs. I'd recommend spending the extra money on this room over the smaller ones we've stayed in previously. It made it feel more comfortable.
The restaurant was great, and we had lunch there everyday.
I highly recommend and will be back!

Love this lovely Inn and fabulous restaurant! Southern coast of Maine is gorgeous this time of year There was a remote feel with this Beachfront Gem We couldn’t wait to walk the beach. Even in Mid September the lounges and beach chairs were available on the beach. We even walked the sandbars and took a dip ! Although we choose a Small room with an Ocean View it was well appointed with a great view . The bathroom walk-in shower was very inviting The staff here go out of their way to be welcoming and the amenities like apples, kind bar ,candies, water ,beach towels and easy parking.
To top off the fabulous restaurant and front porch we’re just over the Moon. A must mention it was our duo Birthdays and David Morgan and Lilly and the staff made us feel very special . Our second day we visited their sister resort Hidden Cove and used their beautiful pool . That evening we visited their restaurant Earth. Both of these properties really impressed us and we consider ourselves we’ll traveled foodies. We will be going back soon to try another of these properties. We heard they have 9 ! Great team work Kuddos to the owners you should be proud !

Back in May, I popped in while scouting out a place to stay the summer of 2022. I drove by as a little girl and was excited to see the inside and receive more info from zLeo at the front desk. I booked my stay and extended it as well in July/August.
My home away from home .
I came for true R and R
The rooms ARE as pictured , clean modern mix with beachy vintage.
The staff..from the first time I stopped in to inquiry thru my entire stay.
EVERYONE at guest services, housekeeping was accommodating, warm, friendly and professional.
The food and bar and service is commendable. All the staff pushed through very busy times with a smile and friendly service. The restaurant manager Riyas greets all the customers as well running a tight ship as does Brett down at the beach.
5 stars for all the above.
The view, the warm friendly service, the cozy feel with more amenities I could partake as I was here to rest are great for a solo or family get away
I will be back to my home away from home.
Best to all, thank you.Lizabeth

Tides was a great 5 star hotel with lots of amenities. They had free shuttle service all around Kennebunkport, Noah was an exceptional driver that went above and beyond to track down a missing cellphone. Great mountain bikes to ride to their sister resort Hidden Ponds. Hidden Ponds had a serenity pool and Tree Spa. The beach at Tides had chairs, loungers, paddle boards and kayaks available and ready. They had a great restaurant at Tides with live music on Friday night. Iven was our waiter and everything was great. The manager Amber made sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation perfect.

Hi taec548 -- While some of our rooms are on the petite side, all do offer clothing storage for our visitors. Please give us a call at the hotel and we would be happy to assist in securing the right room for your beach vacation!
Hello!
I do apologize for the delayed response! Unfortunately, our property is not pet friendly!
Please us know if we can be of any further assistance!
The Team at TBC
When we stayed children were there with their parents. I think it is geared more toward adults though.
It depends. I agree that the staff would go out of their way to help you. I also agree with bob that given how much of a social scene The Tides is, and how noisy it is, it might be a problem if your baby is a light sleeper. It is near the beach and very comfortable so it is kind of a toss up. Also, there are no elevators so you have to haul the baby and baby stuff up and down the stairs.
