Love this inn! Had beautiful views of the ocean and Walkers Point. Rooms were spotless and well maintained. Janet was our housekeeper and she made sure our room was kept and we had everything we needed. Would love to return one day and stay again.

Loved my visit. Extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Zach and Milena were awesome. Location is incredible and very quiet set right on the ocean. The incredible OCEAN restaurant is nothing short of perfection from the food, service, cocktails wine list and ambiance. Perfect for a romantic dinner or celebration. I stayed in Room 3 and it was lovely. Just perfect. Thank you for everything.

The setting is fabulous. Our room was a far cry from the luxury room we were expecting at 1000 a night. The room smelled of urine the bathroom sink did not work the shade on the window was broken so I had the pleasure of a dawn sunrise beaming into my bed. The pictures in the trip advisor were lovely; our room did not come close to the illustration. We were moved to an even smaller room the second night with less of a view but the sink worked. The saving grace was the weather. I would never recommend this “resort” . They say you get what you pay for but this was an exercise in frustration and disappointment. A waste of money with no recourse.

Dear Getaway276711, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback of your stay. It is disappointing to hear about your negative experience in the first guestroom you were placed in. Our team has taken the appropriate measures to fix the blind and the water pressure in that guestroom, as well as treat the carpet. Your experience is far from what other travelers can expect and we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your first evening staying with us. It is unfortunate that you are unsatisfied with your new guestroom which is one that is highly popular with many of our other guests and is the featured photo in that room type on our website. Being that our inn is over one hundred years old, the historic nature of the building does feature quaint accommodations. Had another room been available, our team would have gladly moved you to a room more to your liking which we are unable to do during your stay due to occupancy levels. We wish that our management team had the opportunity to speak with you prior to this review being posted as we have since taken the appropriate steps to make things right. We want all of our guests to be completely satisfied with their stay, and do all we can if given the opportunity to handle rare negative experiences directly with the guest. Sincerely, Corey Lens Assistant General Manager Cape Arundel Inn & Resort

From the chilled glass of Prosecco at checkin to the smiling staff at checkout, The Cape Arundel Inn is a wonderful old feel New England coastal inn. Janette I’m housekeeping was incredibly welcoming and did a wonderful job keeping the lovely room fresh and clean. Sandreen at the front desk was so friendly and helpful and always smiling. The inn is gorgeous, the view is spectacular, and the service was impeccable. Ocean, the restaurant in the inn was one of the finest seafood (or any cuisine for that matter) restaurants I have ever been to. A special shout out to Milena at the front desk and Janet in housekeeping. They couldn’t have done more for us.

We stayed at the clubhouse, so this review only applies to those rooms. Dreadful. Dark the bedrooms are dark and depressing with tired looking furniture and carpeting. Our room had two small windows, one occupied by a window AC unit, that did nothing to cool the room, but sounded like a train. We opened the other window, but there was no cross ventilation. It was fairly cool last week, so I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it would be on a hot day. The bathrooms are circa 1990 and far worse than a cheap roadside motel. Shockingly bad for the price. I spoke to several other guests and they said the same thing. On the plus side, it’s very quiet, great location, and the bed is comfortable and well made. The pool is nice and maintained. We like the restaurant - def the best fine dining spot in Kennebunkport, and the breakfast is fairly good, although they should upgrade their breads. The bottom line is that this is not a luxury destination, but a barely tolerable place to stay.

Dear J5543IApatriciap, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to share this review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed Ocean Restaurant, found your bed to be comfortable, and enjoyed our Club House pool. Our property is indeed situated in a fantastic location and it we are glad you found this to be case. With that said, it is certainly disappointing to hear that you were less than satisfied with your guest rooms at the Club House and your notes are well taken. Our Club House does have a more historic feel, having been the Old Fort Inn for many years before becoming part of Cape Arundel. Being that you enjoyed the location of the resort, the pool, and the restaurant, we would recommend staying in one of our ocean view bungalows or Main Inn guest rooms the next time you visit Kennebunkport. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Sincerely, Corey Lens Assistant General Manager Cape Arundel Inn & Resort

Our stay at this resort was truly amazing and everything that we had expected. Janet and Kacey greeted us every morning with a friendly hello and check in to make sure we had everything we needed. They kept both the waters and the Nespresso machine stocked for our morning cup of coffee. We would definitely go back and recommend.

Room #1 had great views and a fantastic bed. The best thing about this inn is the service! Every staff member is fantastic and Mr. Black and Angela know this area and all of the people like the back of their hand. Never steered us wrong. The restaurant is 5 star and I raved about it in my other review.Cozy front porch with fireplace and great parlor to hang out in the evening. Felt like being home!
