This was my second visit to Hidden Pond and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful, and the Covid cleanliness was fantastic. The staff are always friendly and the amenities are both unexpected and thoughtful. We had an issue with our cottage on our second evening and had to move to a new cottage. The staff could not have been kinder, more patient, or more generous. I cannot wait to return!

What a special place! When I arrived at the reception cottage I knew I would love this resort. The Maine coastal landscaping and decor drew me in. I stayed in a bungalow, which was cozy and comfortable. The screened in porch had amazing seating...a wonderful large day bed too. I loved the second shower...outdoor! Dinner at the beautiful Earth restaurant was perfect..from the arrival glass of champagne to coastal halibut to strawberry rhubarb sorbet. All around the outside of the restaurant were seating and gathering areas for pre dinner lounging, including a fire pit area. And who doesn't love s'mores around a fire?

My wife and I traveled here for a belated honeymoon (due to COVID) this past May. We were eager to see just how charming this place really was, based on other reviews we had read online. And boy, we weren’t disappointed! The entire experience, from check-in through check out was top notch. The staff were super friendly and got us checked in right away with little drama and much hospitality. We were taken away by the quaint charm of our bungalow. Immaculate inside and out, the whole resort can be described as a hidden gem. We enjoyed both a lunch and exquisite four-course dinner at Earth, the restaurant located on the premises. While we didn’t go swimming, the pool area was lovely too, and we enjoyed having poolside drinks under an umbrella. Hey We also loved the bikes and golf carts, which made getting great around the resort both fun and easy. The resort is also located far enough away from the crowds you truly feel like you’re in the woods. But in reality, you’re still super close to downtown Kennebunkport and other quaint seaside villages. Overall, we had a delightful experience and would recommend the spot to anyone looking for a unique vacation in southern Maine. We are looking forward to trying some of their other properties too, located in the region.

This is a very nice place, but why add a $35/day resort fee to a $3000/day room? Or a $100 “administrative fee” to cancel a reservation two months in advance. It’s mean-spirited and greedy. If it’s really necessary, build it into the room rate so people don’t feel nickel and dimed when they’re spending a smal fortune to stay here.
