I really lked Hidden Pond. I was hesitant to spend $3000 on a 3 night stay not knowing much about the property but was glad we stayed here. We did not leave the property for 3 days. The pool was great and so was the food. We relaxed, took walks on the path, sat by the pool, took part in the activities. Their sister property is less than 2 miles away and is nice if you want to visit the beach. Just call the front desk they will take you over. Nice to have a kitchen and amenities within a short walk of the cottage. I would stay here again.

We visited here during the last week of the season, which meant that the resort felt like our own private cabin in the woods! The resort is lovely this time of year, with fall leaves every day and bonfires every night. The pricing was significantly reduced from peak season and we received excellent service. One of the managers told us that this is his favorite time of the year, as he actually gets to spend quality time with the guests, as compared to the summer when he is running around all day. Earth was easy to get into and eat and drink at the bar, and Patrick took great care of us. We had smores and wine around the bonfire each night, slept great in our cabin, and even took an outdoor shower in the cold! (that water gets really hot) I wouldn't hesitate to visit here again, especially in late October. What a treat!

My wife and I visited for a baby moon a few months ago and I can unequivocally say this place is WAY overpriced for the quality and service relative to anywhere else. I travel a lot for work and stay in hotels all of the time. Do not stay here if you expect a high level of service and a clean property as I did given the price. Worse yet, I called and emailed the management company to provide some friendly feedback and none of my outreach was ever responded to. Disappointing to say the least.

This will be my fourth stay at Hidden Pond, I was there when they opened and this experience showed some wear and tear. Good things: Earth Restaurant did not disappoint, the resort looks similar to it did 10 years ago, quaint woodsy retreat. Room for improvement: our greeting at the front desk was robotic and rushed, and did not have the special touch of a resort this expensive, the cabin needed many areas of touch up, from a crack in the vaulted ceiling, a bathroom with water damage near the floor by the shower, and a ceiling repair in the bathroom that was unfinished, the bed was not comfortable, a stiff hard mattress with similar pillows, there was a cobweb in the guest bath, and general paint touch ups needed here and there, Hidden Pond is an amazing resort, but maintenance needs to keep up with the wear and tear of a popular resort, and front desk ! Try to smile and make your guests feel special :)

I was so so disappointed at our stay this time. This was our 5th stay I believe at Hidden Pond. Unfortunately it may be our last. I come here every year to celebrate my Birthday with my family. The service has gone way downhill. I rented a Bungalow and a Cabin as usual. I noticed that they are starting to look a little run down, but that I can deal with. We also had a little furry visitor in the middle of the night that ate our chips and left little droppings as presents, understandably so, since we are in the woods. The water in our Bungalow this time smelled like sewer, I could barely use the shower. Also a disappointment is that Kenny the bartender no longer works there, which is a shame since he made our stay in the past very hospitable by being joyful and accommodating. They do have some new employees, but they are either extremely slow or need more training. And then there is Aaron, at the front desk, who never smiles and comes out to throw a bucket of water over the fire as we were enjoying our after dinner drinks that we purchased at their back porch bar. Usually they close the bar and shut off the torches and we are able to stay and enjoy the fire. He stated it was because of the town Ordinance of Peace and Quiet. We are in the middle of the woods? We were quiet and were not bothering anyone. Then the next night we ate dinner at Earth which was amazing as usual and we asked if we could enjoy our after dinner drinks by the fire and they said sure, and that they would "NOT" put the fire out on us at 10:30. (Apparently the Ordinance doesn't apply here, thanks god!) However then the wedding party arrived and unfortunately there were so many people we it was just too loud for us to stay since they were roasting marshmallows over our heads, so we gave up our seats and called it a night! So I guess you can get past the "Ordinance" if you rent out the place for a wedding! I guess my 2 night stay at $2,600 for a Cabin and $1,700 for a Bungalow with smelly water and resort fees and the $900 plus in food and beverages are not enough to earn the respect to keep the fire burning at Hidden Pond! I hope they can change the quality of the service. Good Service and kind people really make a difference in a good resort. Too bad, I really miss the way it used to be!
