Beautifully appointed hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Ideally located for center of town and beach, all within a short walk. The barn was spectacular at Christmas, stunningly decorated with a lounge where you sit in front of the fire with a book and a bourbon.

Nov. 14th, 6pm dinner reservation, valet parking (new car, first road trip in it). Great dinner, excellent all around. Get car (it's dark) and valet says "I charged your car with our EV charger". Tipped and drove straight to hotel, parked it myself in a secure spot. Next morning- saw the dent in rear of car- at the exact same height as an EV charger. Called hotel immediately- manager asked for photos and details, I emailed images the same day. Days later- nothing. Called 2 more times- finally asked person I reached to measure EV charger to see if it actually is the same height as the dent- that person confirmed it was. Days later spoke to same manager- "we accept zero responsibility". Not only a waste of time, but a lame response after all the back & forth. 100% they damaged my car.

I actually came to White Barn Inn because their restaurant had something slightly unique in their lobster centric tasting menu. It was simply convenient to stay here overnight as well. I am usually a stay wherever type person as most of my vacationing time isn't spent luxuriating at the place where I am sleeping. White Barn Inn has me rethinking my thoughts on that come the future, and that simply is not an exaggeration. The only negative thing you could take from this is that I don't have much experience with such places because of that prior mentality.

Food quality and staff were very good, However, the hotel bathroom accommodations and lighting were the worst I have ever experienced and certainly not worth the over $ 2,000 a night rate. The best part of the stay was the shower, mattress and the "Spa" experience...which was excellent..

Dear T3924HProbertp, We are saddened to read that aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. While some of our accommodations are less spacious than others, we are glad that you enjoyed elements of your stay. Our staff and culinary experiences are truly one-of-a-kind on the coast. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Sincerely, Daniel Braun, General Manager

One of the most embarrassing let downs for the Auberge brand. We arrived and asked if we could move dinner just 30 minutes. Was Told NO. Yet restaurant was 1/3 booked. Asked about e-bikes rentals we had arrange - they said we never confirmed with them - we found out from rental place they never inquired. Admittedly we paid $1,600 dollars/night thinking it would be an Auberge experience like in Napa location. We had room number 8. Beware - and I have photos to prove it - one view out window is of flat room between two buildings and the storage closet next to our room had a bent, pushed out screen and an open window where supplies were hanging out. The other view is blocked by the massive hood/fans from the kitchen below. Literally. We heard the dishes being done late into the night and the fan was blowing most of the day. We left our window open and our room smelled of grease/food. The next day, early in the am, asked if we could dine again in the fine dining restaurant - which was amazing - and asked that they call us to let us know. Never got a call. Asked again in person and was told no. Spoke with Bethany the room director/acting manager (there was not one on premise) and she tried to ask again. The maitre'ed said NO out of control. They said they were at capacity. Then later admitted they didn't have enough staff to seat more people. Bethany said "people understand staffing shortages at hotels"...and I replied not at $1,600/nt hotels. She admitted that the hotel has "no control" over the restaurants decisions and that the maitre'd was just not going to budge. I told her I would come back from our dinner in town and take a picture of the dining room and that it would be empty - at 8pm I did and it was empty. I have all the photos and I showed them to Bethany who looked horrified. They brag about coffee delivered to your room each morning. They couldn't get the time right. When we called they said "it's at your door" - which it wasn't. They reminded me it's a no smoking property and the staff smokes out back around a makeshift ashtray station behind the parking lot. I know people might read this and say it was foolish to book a hotel that expensive. Or that these were little things. But if you saw the pictures, heard the staff, and heard "no" the whole weekend you would realize this was a sub-premium Auberge resort experience with a rude, inexperienced staff and manager. By the way, they offered to reduce the price on the rooms - but I refused to accept. It wasn't why I complained - it was to protect other people from wasting their time or having their expectations dashed. Auberge should be horrified, no matter how much they profit from it. It's still about their brand.
