The front desk (Albert), was very professional, accommodating, and friendly! He was super efficient, and knew how to get things done right and quickly. The restaurant had excellent service on both sides (restaurant & bistro), and the food was equally wonderful. In the Fall, this is a very romantic place. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The turndown service... More

Rooms are beautiful, great location just a short walk to the downtown area with shops and restaurants. Phenomenal service and thoughtful little touches - afternoon tea with finger sandwiches. We had the tasting dinner at the restaurant and it was a little hit and miss, some courses outstanding, others less so. Kind of stuffy/overly formal, we saw one gentleman being... More

We spent a couple of nights at this most delightful and welcoming Inn superbly located close both to the port and the beach walk. The welcome by the reception team could not have been more gracious and the standard of the accommodation, particularly the stunning bathroom.was faultless. As I was celebrating my 70th birthday during our stay, we chose to... More

The hotel was lovely with a fabulous bathroom and lovely products to use in an enormous roll top bath. Very much appreciated after our walk around the coastline.the staff wer very helpful and a lovely touch was evening brandy and port supplied in the lounge which had a lovely fire and comfortable chairs.

We recently stayed at this lovely and historic inn. We are Club 5C members and have stayed at many R&C properties globally. The Inn, the decorations, the barn, the common areas and the grounds are very beautiful. The location and overall setting is very nice. The restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent. The staff were very polite and nice.... More

We would not normally choose a resort in this price range but we received a gift certificate so we chose the smallest room for our one nite visit. The room was very pretty, calming, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was updated and bright. We ate dinner in the bistro and our food was delicious. All of the staff... More

We chose the White Barn because it is a Relais&Chateaux property. While not as expensive as some other R&C properties, it was still a $500/night stay, and we expected more. On the positive side, the front desk staff was professional and accommodating, the location was good, and the food was terrific. The outside of Inn was beautiful...landscaping, maintenance, pool, etc....all... More

Room with radiant heated bathroom floor. Great bed linen. Spa fantastic and the aesthetician recommended stretches for tight areas. Yummy continental breakfast with croissants and fresh blueberry muffins with jam and honey. Fireplace in sitting area. Pool. Located between beach and town. 5 star hotel and restaurant. Unbelievable wine list.

We stayed at the white barn inn over the Labor Day weekend. I had booked this reservation around 3 months in advance, we were attending a wedding in Maine. I really had high hopes for a wonderful weekend with my husband but it was not to be. Our room was extremely small and cramped, the bed was listed as a... More

My husband & I stayed here for one night to celebrate our 15th Anniversary. The rate was high (over $500) but we were ok with it based on other reviews and their reputation for being an upscale, luxury Inn. However, our room was tiny and underwhelming. The property itself was just ok. The staff was nice and we really don't... More
