I do want to apologize for my tardiness with this review. This place should be rated a 10 plus. Everything about it is first rate. The owner and her son and their staff understand how to provide the best customer service. We seldom stay at B&B's but this one is magical and offers separate rooms with private entrances. The breakfast...

Hello Mapita, We thank you for your review and your kind words. I am glad you broke your trend of not staying at B&Bs and visited us. We do have some rooms with separate entrances and are very private. We were also able this year to provide outside, porch breakfast right up into October... not the norm but it was...

Once you find the Inn, which is tucked back about a 1/2 mile of the road, you'll agree you made the right choice. Warm and friendly staff, beds like clouds, amazing breakfasts, and the view is unparalleled. I'd still give it 5 stars at twice the price.

Hello you two, We hope your trip home went smoothly and quickly. We really enjoyed your company and appreciate the list of places to see in your state the next time we are heading south. I hope I am addressing this to the right person! Lots of good wishes, Harriet

Our stay at the Bufflehead Bed and Breakfast in Kennebunk was wonderful. It is located on the shores of the Kennebunk river. The room was amazing and the breakfast was delightful. Breathtaking views of the Kennebunk river. Such a peaceful and ideal setting.

I hugely apologize for being so late responding to your review. I didn't see it until recently. I so appreciate having guests who are from Maine visit us and your review is really nice. I remember your visit and your plans for when you left. I hear from Erin that there was no game. I hope with that said that...

My husband and I had never been to Kennebunkport, ME before so we decided to drive the 3 1/4 hours north. From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew our stay was going to be perfect - and it was. Harriet and her son Aaron were the most gracious and friendliest of hosts - just a "knock on...

Hello and thank you for the really nice review. I am pretty sure I know who you are... Mia's friend, right? It was nice seeing you early every morning sitting there on the window seat. I enjoyed your verve for life. Be well and have a nice winter. Hope to see you again in the future. Harriet

We loved this inn, build in the late 1700s, tucked away in a quiet location on Bufflehead Cove. With its wrap around porch where you can watch bird life and chipmunks and the welcoming long fire in the lounge, this is Maine hospitality at its best. It has a friendly atmosphere and we enjoyed meeting other guests around the breakfast...

Hello JaneGDartford, This is Harriet. Thank you so much for the complement. It is important to me that our guests feel welcomed and enjoy their visit.. I enjoyed talking to you while you were here. You stayed in the River room which is our smallest room. It also has the tiniest bathroom. All our other rooms range from medium sized...

We stayed in the Hideaway room and it was so much nicer than even the photos on the website. It is huge but cozy. The bathroom is the size of an average Paris hotel room (maybe larger). The only improvement I recommend is a heat lamp. And while the shower is beautiful, it is small. But these are tiny imperfections....

Hello Pablo4444, We enjoyed having you both visit and enjoyed your company. Thank you for the complements and the suggestions too. A heat lamp sounds like a very good idea. We will see! Have a good winter, Harriet

Idyllic location and wonderful atmosphere. Totally relaxed and friendly, coupled with exceptional quality and thoughtfulness. Had breakfast on the sunny deck (in mid October!!?) watching the geese gathering and the great blue heron just standing around. Brekkies were varied and delicious. Really appreciated the evening fires and deep jacuzzi bath, and daily cheese & wine hour. Erin is a treasure...

This is a lovely B&B in a stunning location. We stayed in their River Room with a wonderful view over the water. Take your binoculars for some serious bird watching! No noise at all except for the geese and ducks. Located at the end of a wooded lane far from other developments. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this...

Hello Dara D, We so appreciate you taking the time to write a review and also that you liked the River room. This was our first trip to Kennebunk and we chose Bufflehead Cove based on other travelers' reviews. We are glad we chose Bufflehead Cove as we very much enjoyed our stay while we were there. Hello Kola05, We knew about your allergies to strong smelling flowers, etc. but did not realize you would be bothered by our soaps. We have stayed at this inn three times, and each subsequent time is as pleasurable as the previous one. The setting is lovely: peaceful and bucolic with a view onto an inlet with changing views as the tide shifts. The hosts are charming and the breakfasts imaginatively delicious. We look forward to our next visit.
