Kennenbunk was super cute! I really enjoyed the lobster rolls and onion rings at The Chowder Host recommended by the host. The Captain's Quarters room has two beds which is a budget option if you're traveling as friends instead of a couple.

Enjoyed our stay here at the wonderful bed and breakfast in Kennebunk,Ma. Our room was Ralph's library which was on the first floor adjacent to the kitchen. It was perfect since I have problems with stairs. Had tea and strawberries when we got back from a visit to Kennebunkport. Then went to dinner at a restaurant our hosts recommended. A... More

This was an average b and b experience when we had been expecting more. We were on the first night of a trip to Maine and then onto the maritime provinces of Canada. The room was all right but did not offer any particular charm or those memories we all cherish and seek in smaller establishments. The breakfast was ample... More

Thank you for your review of our inn. Our goal is and has been for the past fourteen years to provide our guests with a truly memorable stay. We take pride in retaining the ambiance of times past but experiencing some challenges based on this being a registered historic inn in meeting todays clients. We are indeed a country inn... More

This bandb is truly wonderful. The sheets are soft and silky. The towels large and fluffy. The history of the home (told to us by the Innkeeper) is educational and very interesting. The enormous breakfast was delicious. Homemade muffins and granola just to get you started. Don't miss this gem!

We had two comfortable rooms on the top floor, though we were out and about and barely spent any time in them. The two sitting rooms downstairs were comfortable for chatting. The hosts were exceptionally pleasant and helpful in recommending places to go that appealed to us. We liked the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the history of the lovely old... More

We stayed at the Inn over Memorial Day weekend as we had a wedding in Kennebunkport. We didn't want to stay at the site of the wedding but wanted to do an Inn. Having read some reviews, we booked it for 2 nights. It was delightful! Mostly due to the gracious hosts, John and Cathy. They knew so much about... More

We just had a wonderful weekend at the Waldo Emerson Inn Bed and Breakfast that was built in 1753. The Inn is just beautiful inside and out. The rooms are spacious and welcoming. The room we stayed in had a great fireplace; almost all of the rooms at the inn have a fireplace. The 1st night’s firewood was supplied by... More

John and Cathy provide an authentic, welcoming B&B experience. The history of the building is fascinating. The breakfasts are wonderful. Have been back several times and never been disappointed. Fall is our favorite, (October for peak leaf peeping) but it was great for Prelude at Christmastime as well.

We spent a Saturday night at the Waldo Emerson Inn B&B. We called last minute at 9pm and the owners were very accommodating. We had the room downstairs next to the dining room. It was clean & tastefully decorated. We were greeted by Waldo the Inns toy poodle ( I love to see pets at a B&B because I am... More

From the moment my husband and I walked through the doors of the Waldo Emerson Inn and were greeted by our wonderful hosts, Cathy and John, we felt at home. The inn is beautiful, historic, authentic and cozy! The breakfasts were yummy and you could tell were made with such care and pride. We had a wonderful experience and are... More
