Best Inn experience! Exceptional food/accommodations. Having to cancel our Christmas Holiday, Hana worked with us even though we had booked a non-refundable stay. Five star ⭐️ service in every way! Cannot wait to be able to go back

Property's Favorite Review
Waldo Emerson is an amazing B&B! The history of the house is incredible and we were so cozy in Sweet Haven with the fireplace and a very comfortable bed. We also enjoyed the firepits outside and wandering down the road to the nearby preservation land. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and Hana knows the area like the back of her hand. She made phenomenal recommendations from hikes to beaches to walks to restaurants in Kennebunkport, Portland, Freeport, Ogunquit and more. She also went above and beyond at every point to ensure that we had everything (and more!) that we needed. She even gave us a ride to dinner when we couldn't get an uber quickly. Additionally, all COVID protocols were carefully adhered to and we felt safe and comfortable. We will definitely be back and want to offer our strongest recommendation!

We stayed at the Waldo Emerson in for the first time in October. We had the best time and Hanna was a delight. The room was super cozy, and the bed was so comfortable. Hanna made delicious breakfasts every morning, we didn't even need to eat lunch. Hanna also mapped out many day trips for us which was greatly appreciated since we didn't know the area. I would definitely recommend, it will not disappoint. We had a wonderful stay, will definitely go back :)

We stayed in 5 B&B's throughout Maine on our honeymoon. This was my absolute favorite! The bed was so comfortable! The room was incredibly cute. Hana was soooooo helpful, providing us with maps and recommendations. Her cookies were amazing, and breakfast was to die for. I would go back just for the breakfast, but the hospitality was awesome too. I can't wait to return!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Waldo Emerson in three months. The first time was with a young pup and Hanna (innkeeper who bought the place four years ago I think) could not have been more helpful and accommodating in making us all (puppy included!) feel welcome. Each room is incredibly charming and individual- it really does feel like a home away from home; at once both charming and historic, while also feeling modern in terms of the personal touches. Rooms are clean and have all mod cons and (helpful in a covid environment), the WiFi connection is good enough for work. The location is great- a good walk or short drive to beaches (including the famous Gooch’s pooches), the bridle path and restaurant and bar options. Breakfasts are immense! Hanna brings a real personal touch to the experience; expect to walk away full each morning! Overall, the experience is truly unique, in no small part due to Hanna’s hosting and culinary skills; she made me custard and cake one afternoon (both trips) because (coming from the UK) I mentioned it was a favorite. Lastly, it’s important to note, you shouldn’t just come here if you have a dog- it’s dog friendly (rare) but on our second trip we were traveling without responsibility and it was just as special. In an age of Air BnB there is something awesome about a REAL BnB. STRONGLY RECOMMEND.
