Hana and staff did a fantastic job in welcoming us and making our stay a memorable one. The beautiful, historic home and landscape were both well done and cozy. Hana went out of her way to make sure we knew where to go and what to see. Great attention to detail and customer service. We look forward to a return visit!
We had a great get away weekend and enjoying our time at the Waldo Emerson Inn. Hannah was always available for any questions, spoiled us with breakfast, and the atmosphere of the Inn was very welcoming. Very cool history and the location was very easy to venture into town and local restaurants.
The Inn is very charming and well kept. The decor while being historical is also contemporary and clean. Breakfasts are fabulous and Hana is extremely helpful and friendly. She put itineraries together for us in Portland and Freeport that were perfect. We needed a last minute dinner idea and she texted us right back with a great suggestion. Kennebunk is a nice location to stay in its quieter than in town surrounded by interesting mansions and convenient to everything. We stayed in the Bourne room with a queen bed. It’s on the side of the house and pretty quiet. The bed was super comfortable and we liked the sheets so much we want to get them for home. I will say the bathroom is extremely small the shower and toilet are in a very small room and the sink is in the bedroom. I actually like the sink being separate but if you were tall or had any claustrophobia issues I would say choose another room they are all beautiful. There was also no chest in the room just a cloth set of drawers in the closet which was functional but I personally like to put my clothes away in drawers and it was very small. Overall a very good experience and would go back.…
We really enjoyed our stay at Waldo Emerson Inn. We were in town for one night and stayed in Ralph's Library. Hana was a wonderful host, and we enjoyed all the personal touches at the inn -- freshly baked cookies upon arrival, drinks and snacks available, bottled water in our room, and beautiful furnishings. Hana took us on a tour of the home, sharing some interesting history. She also made a recommendation for dinner, which we really enjoyed. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We chose to eat breakfast outside and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and a delicious meal. It was a great way to end our vacation.
My family and I had a wonderful one night stay at this historic inn connected to the Ralph Waldo Emerson family. The host and owner of the inn was incredibly helpful and hospitable. She shared so much history with us about Kennebunk and the inn. Loving towards me and my family. Felt right at home staying there. Incredible renovations to the 1800s home. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was phenomenal!! Close drive to downtown Kennebunkport. We will DEFINITELY be returning and cannot wait to stay again!
Amazing visit to Waldo emerson inn! I can’t express how wonderful Hana and the staff were during our visit. We had everything we needed and they made us feel at home and part of their family. The food was amazing!!!The inn has a rich history which we loved hearing about and was so accessible to kennebunkport and surrounding areas. Can’t recommend them enough!
The Waldo Emerson House is magnificent. Every detail has been considered from the incredibly comfortable rooms, the mouth savoring gourmet breakfasts, the lovely gardens.... The proprietor Hana goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and at home. I look forward to returning with my wife. It is the perfect getaway for a romantic couples experience. The home is beautifully furnished in a traditional way. It is close to town but has all the benefits of privacy. I couldn't help but think it would be a wonderful place to just read and chill.
The inn and its property was impeccably kept and in full bloom in July. Common areas were clean, inviting and comfortable. Location was perfect for easy access to shopping and restaurants in town. Rooms were cozy complete with luxury sheets and fresh flowers.
Thank you Hanna and your wonderful staff for making our visit extra special. Delicious cookies when we arrived, beautiful gardens and grounds, super comply room and bed and DELICIOUS breakfast!!!! Thank you for everything! A perfect little gem!!
We had a great time at the Waldo Emerson Inn. We were greeted to fresh baked cookies, a beautiful home (complete with an interesting tour), and a comfortable, quaint room with a working fireplace. Hannah, the owner, is also an excellent chef, so the breakfasts were delicious. All around fantastic place to stay...highly recommend.
