This was our second stay at The Inn at English Meadows. We first visited December 30, 2019-January 1, 2020. We loved the inn and innkeeper, Elizabeth, so much we returned for Halloween weekend, October 30-November 1, 2020! We chose our last accommodation, The Tranquility Suite which was so spacious and comfortable. A separate living room and bedroom greeted us for relaxation which was very welcoming with the challenges of the pandemic. Elizabeth and her staff (including her daughter!) were amazing-professional, friendly and dedicated. The breakfasts (3 courses) were delicious and sumptuous. Cannot say enough about this beautiful venue. We look forward to returning in the very near future to our home away from home!
Almost as soon as Massachusetts was removed from Maine's restricted travel list, we headed up to Kennebunkport for a weekend stay at the Inn at English Meadows. The innkeeper, Elizabeth Arruda, and her staff bent over backwards to ensure guests could enjoy their stay while still practicing covid-19 safety precautions. Before traveling, we had already arranged to eat Friday night's take-out dinner in the Inn's dining area. Placemats and silverware set up for us at a table socially-distanced from that of another couple doing the same thing. Hot breakfasts were served in two sittings, to permit disinfecting and to allow social distancing, yet we were able to converse with the couple at the other end of our dining table. While there was no housekeeping performed during our stay, we were still able to obtain fresh towels each day. All the above accommodations provided a reassuring home-base that allowed us to go out and enjoy the amenities of Kennebunkport, which continue to draw us back year after year.…
This is a lovely B&B in Kennebunkport. Elizabeth and her staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! The Tack Room, though a bit small, was perfect for us with our dog in tow. It had its own little entrance. We didn’t want to disturb other guests at early or late hours so it worked well. The shower was awesome, and everything that you could want was available in-room. Each breakfast was a lovely 3-course affair, that was excellent. Warm cookies available in the afternoon. A short walk to town and access to plenty of restaurants. Lovely!
My husband and I decided to vacation on the East Coast during the pandemic since we didn't have to fly. We randomly found this little inn and we were delighted! The house and rooms were immaculate and very modernized even though the house is old. The breakfast were delicious every morning with a variety of items. Service was also wonderful. We had a cooking class while we were there from a renowned chef. It was a wonderful experience!
Nicely appointed B&B within walking distance of the town center harbor area. Great restaurants and shops. Room was very comfortable and Breakfast was great. Owner and staff very friendly. The Pearl Restaurant is a recommendation for a nice dinner, a short walk away.
