Nothing short of perfection: from the charming and accommodating proprietor, to the meticulously appointed and soothing private rooms and public spaces, to the breakfasts that were as pretty to look at as they were as drool-worthy to eat! The grounds are lovely, even during this chilly part of year (and were great for our four legged kid, who was joining us for her first wee vacation! Our room had its own private entrance, so we could enter and exit with our girl without traipsing thru the Inn, and there even was a dedicated container outside our door for Lily's , er... waste products!). With easy to use and always available coffee and tea stations in a couple of convenient locations, it was always easy to grab a cup, which we particularly appreciated when enjoying the daily scrumptious cookie selection on the veranda, where at dusk the fire table made a particularly attractive place to perch for a spell. How fortunate is Elizabeth to live in such a beautiful place (in winter, down the street from Christmas Prelude; in summer, walk to the beach1)

Hello! And thank you so much for so eloquently (and in such great detail!) sharing your recent experience at the inn. We're always so pleased to hear about how much our guests loved their stay, and what they found most enjoyable. We do put a lot of effort into our freshly prepared breakfasts and our always baked-from-scratch afternoon cookies, and it's especially important to me and our staff that guests feel relaxed, comfortable and well cared for! Ambiance, aesthetics and of course, cleanliness are a big part of that! I couldn't agree with you more about our location which, as you mentioned, is wonderful in every season! I feel so very fortunate to live so close to the charming shops, restaurants and attractions of Kennebunkport, including that beautiful sandy beach just down the road, and I LOVE being able to share it all with our guests!

Property's Favorite Review
All you have to do is read the reviews to understand what this property is all about. This was our second time to stay here, this time for Christmas Prelude, and we've already made reservations to return for Memorial Day. We've stayed at the Waterfront Boathouse, Yachtsman, Cape Arundel Inn - and this is by far the best, hands down. The owner, Elizabeth, and all of her staff, are extremely friendly, welcoming and always there to assist if you need anything or have any request. And Elizabeth is very responsive and accommodating to any request that you have. The Inn itself is meticulously clean, with old world charm but modern touches. Whatever time of year you go it is tastefully decorated. The rooms themselves are unique and spacious, and have all the amenities you need. There's a room for every need whether you want a king size bed, gas fireplace, refrigerator, large bathroom with multi-head shower, etc. There's something for everyone. And the 3 course included breakfast is probably the best breakfast in town, all homemade and fresh baked with local ingredients. And the location is perfect, just off the beaten path away from all the hustle and bustle but an easy walk into town. If you're looking to spend some time in Kennebunkport, don't look to book anywhere else but the Inn at English Meadows. We come to Kennebunkport quite often, and it's our new home away from home.

We can’t say enough about the Inn at English Meadows. It was quaint, cozy and the host was so welcoming. The room was well appointed and very comfortable. From the high end toiletries to complimentary robes and welcome bag. The Inn was charming, with inviting common areas where the host would provide freshly made cookies each afternoon. The breakfast each morning was nothing short of gourmet from miniature scones to poached pears and sweet potatoes and sausage hash. It was truly one of the best getaways we’ve ever had. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and can’t wait to return. Thank you Elizabeth for a very memorable experience. The Irizarry’s

We came up for our first Christmas Prelude. This place is amazing. Elizabeth welcomed us with open arms! Our suite was so comfortable and cozy. It was an easy walk to the town's festivities. Breakfast was incredible both mornings. The afternoon cookies were such a ice treat. We already made reservations for next year! We can't wait to go back! Fantastic Inn and host!
