wife and I spent three lovely days in August at the inn. The owner Elizabeth is hands on and present everyday. The rooms are clean and come with first class amenities. The best thing about your stay is the gourmet breakfast.
All you have to do is read the reviews to understand what this property is all about. This was our second time to stay here, this time for Christmas Prelude, and we've already made reservations to return for Memorial Day. We've stayed at the Waterfront Boathouse, Yachtsman, Cape Arundel Inn - and this is by far the best, hands down. The owner, Elizabeth, and all of her staff, are extremely friendly, welcoming and always there to assist if you need anything or have any request. And Elizabeth is very responsive and accommodating to any request that you have. The Inn itself is meticulously clean, with old world charm but modern touches. Whatever time of year you go it is tastefully decorated. The rooms themselves are unique and spacious, and have all the amenities you need. There's a room for every need whether you want a king size bed, gas fireplace, refrigerator, large bathroom with multi-head shower, etc. There's something for everyone. And the 3 course included breakfast is probably the best breakfast in town, all homemade and fresh baked with local ingredients. And the location is perfect, just off the beaten path away from all the hustle and bustle but an easy walk into town. If you're looking to spend some time in Kennebunkport, don't look to book anywhere else but the Inn at English Meadows. We come to Kennebunkport quite often, and it's our new home away from home.…
We highly recommend The Inn at English Meadows. Owner Elizabeth was so helpful and available pre-visit and during our five-night stay. Delicious breakfasts and afternoon cookies. Great location for exploring the southern coast of Maine.
I cannot say enough great things about the Inn at English Meadows. Elizabeth, the owner, is so warm, welcoming and informative. She was a huge help to us as we planned a small reunion for a group of friends over my 40th birthday, providing lots of great advice on Kennebunk restaurants and activities too. The onsite breakfast was wonderful and homemade each morning, plus really yummy cookies in the afternoon! The beds were especially comfortable with top notch linens and pillows. We walked to town each day and enjoyed every minute. We will absolutely be back again. Thank you team for everything, you made our visit one to remember!
Excellent stay at the Inn. Great service from Elizabeth and team. Breakfast was tasty and afternoon cookies were a sweet touch. Team thoughtfully accommodated my teen’s allergies. Suite was nicely decorated, very comfortable and immaculate. Lots of reading material for local interest. Inn is a pleasant 5-10 minute walk to town. Would very much like to return one day.
I can't say enough about how wonderful it was to stay at The Inn at English Meadows. The inn is in a charming historical building but has all the amenities of a newly renovated property. Our room was beautiful, clean and perfectly decorated in the coastal New England style. Elizabeth and Scott were so nice to talk to and were readily available to answer any questions. The highlight of the place was the food! Freshly baked cookies in the afternoon that were absolutely delicious!! The breakfast was also amazing and not to be missed! Can't wait to go back to this place one day.
The Inn at English Meadows is a lovely place to stay in Kennebunk. The breakfast was delicious and the setting divine. Elizabeth was so warm, welcoming and had great dinner suggestions. Our room was just as described and super comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here.
We spent 2 nights here in June, and wish we could have stayed longer! The inn itself is very charming and the grounds are gorgeous. Elizabeth and her team are wonderful! We stayed in the Morning Dawn room and it was very comfortable. The double vanity in the bathroom is a luxury when traveling with your spouse! We were fortunate to have beautiful weather while we were in town, and it was really nice eating breakfast outside. And the breakfasts were incredible! We also appreciated the freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. Dock Square is a short walk from the inn. We would not hesitate to stay here again next time we are in the area!
We had a wonderful stay at this Inn, so welcoming and clean and walking distance to Dock Square. Elizabeth and her staff were so sweet and helpful, had some beautiful fresh flowers when we arrived for my birthday. They were heavenly. Our room had everything you could possible need, very spacious. Every morning we were treated to a most delicious breakfast, it was outstanding. I would definitely return to this Inn without hesitation next time we visit Kennebunkport.
What a great B&B in Kennebunkport! Elizabeth was so sweet! The room was spacious and stocked with various necessities. It was very clean. My one recommendation for the room would be to add curtains or shades that keep out the sun. The sun started shining through around 4:30 am…a tad too early when on vacation. Breakfasts were delicious! Coffee was ready each morning early before breakfast so you could enjoy a cup in your room or on the patio surrounded by beautiful flowers. Restaurants and beach in walking distance. Very highly recommend!
