I stayed in room 16 over the Columbus day weekend. The same gentleman was on duty every day and he was very friendly and helpful. He recommended The Village Tavern for dinner and it was superb. My room was clean and quiet, and when I checked out, the bill was LOWER than expected since the Sunday rate is lower than... More

The room stunk of mildew. I was told he put the air conditioner on to cool the room, the fan was on and I realized when I shut it off and went out and came back in to a mildew smell. There was a problem with an early check out, I called the desk the afternoon before and said I... More

I arrived for my one night stay. I booked on Orbitz and was quoted 149.99. When I arrived a sweet young girl helped me but her mgr charged me 170. I said umm no. Showed my confirmation letter. She fixed the price. I thought the place was cute. At check out I was charged a room rate of 159. The... More

A charming and cozy place to stay. The room was nice and the bed was wonderful for sleeping. The breakfast was an average continental fare. The staff was very helpful. They let us know what was in the area for food and entertainment. We will plan to stay here again.

This motel was ok. The beds were comfy, but once another person gets into the bed the bed sort of sags in the middle. Also if you need an iron or ironing board you have to walk down to the office and you get this little ironing board like you would use in a dorm. There was not a place... More

Customer beware. The manager lies. We needed to cancel our reservation, and I began on Monday (via email) to cancel a Wednesday reservation, being out of the country and unable to access service for my cell phone. On Tuesday, having returned to the States, I began calling to cancel the reservation for the following night (Wednesday). I was danced around... More

This is an old style motel, but well kept. Our room (15) was clean, large, quiet and comfortable. No problems. Owner was very friendly. They also take reservations for one night, when many in the area require a 2 night stay on high-season weekends. An easy drive to Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. A basic breakfast is included, which for the price... More

The Lodge is from $100 to $200 less than stays in Kennebunkport. The rooms are clean, everything works, and the beds are more comfortable than home. The Lodge offers an excellent Continental Breakfast, a pool and the most helpful of staff members. The Lodge is within a few minutes drive of all the attractions and the money you save on... More

The room smelled awful. The stench of the cleaning supplies used to mask the smell of mildew was enough to make you sick. The beds were terribly uncomfortable. There was no sink in the bathroom, which meant that everything from washing your hands to brushing your teeth had to be done in the kitchenette sink. Breakfast was a let down... More

Not a fancy place, sort of a 1950's era motel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and room was quiet. Motel pool was refreshing and at a comfortable temperature. The price was right for peak time travel into Maine. Its about a 15 minute drive to beach A pretty good location for short drives to Kinnebunkport and Freeport.
