We book room 4 as the seating arrangement is perfect for us. You could not find a more comfortable, spotlessly clean and welcoming place to stay. Was looking for a few different places to visit and eat and Marjorie was up to the task with great suggestions. Will definitely stay again.

Property's Favorite Review
We loved everything about our stay. The hosts, Marjorie and Hans, were very welcoming and helpful in every way. They clearly enjoy being innkeepers and are serious about doing everything well. Our room on the second floor was large and was very comfortable, quiet and airy. Kennebunk is a charming town, very walkable, and feels less crowded/touristy than Kennebunkport. The inn provided a delicious, full breakfast. Comfortable bed and high quality towels and linens. A lovely experience!

Hans and Marjorie were the best hosts! The rooms are cozy and welcoming, the breakfasts were delicious and healthy, there is much to see and do in the area, and the hosts are very well informed about places to visit and things to see, as well as offer great suggestions for lunch and dinners. There is a fire pit that is lit every night, as well as a beautiful front porch and living room where you can gather and make the acquaintance of fellow visitors. We found this to be a great centrally located B&B for visiting Portland, BoothBay Harbor, Kennebunk, Freeport, Kennebunkport, Merrimack, NH, and other places. Hans and Marjorie keep a nice selection of nearby city maps and brochures about things to see and do in the area. They are warm and outgoing, and when we left, we felt like we were leaving family. We would highly recommend the Elizabeth Rose House, and would definitely stay there again when we'd be back in the area. Truly a gem!
