We loved every minute here and can’t wait to come back. We stayed in the Bear Lodge. It”s quaint, rustic and comfortable. We loved sitting on the screen porch with coffee in the morning listening to the sounds of nature and relaxing in the peaceful, tranquil setting. The owners Art and Sue could not be more accommodating or hospitable. They have and maintain a beautiful property with a rich history that they honor and we loved reading and hearing about. Sue’s artwork is beautiful and throughout the property. They make their own pure maple syrup in a barn on the property and they graciously gave us a tour. The syrup is delicious and it’s sold all around town. We are taking some home but also got to have it at a local breakfast place too. And we got Sue’s cookbook and we are looking forward to making some things when we get home. The farm is nestled in the foothills of their own mountain and they have a trail up the mountain to a pond and mountain summit. We didn’t get a chance to explore the trails on this trip but will be back and will do it next time. Location is perfect too, close to town to get dinner or shop, go apple picking which we did and the cabin is remote and peaceful. We loved our long weekend here, the area is great and the accommodations and hospitality at Oak Hill Farms are awesome. We are grateful we found this place and look forward to coming back again.

We had Bear Cottage and were completely pleased. It had a very comfortable king bed and a twin nook. The cottage has games, puzzles, a VCR player with a bunch of older movies. There was a mini frig, microwave, coffee pot & hair dryer. The location is wonderfully quiet. We'd love to go back with our son and explore.

The Bear Lodge was a great choice. Wolf and Eagle have more beds for families and Winston Browne Cottage is a full housekeeping cottage with a kitchen. We look forward to your return and hope you'll have time to climb our mountain.

Fantastic cabin (we were in Bear) - clean, comfortable, private - with everything we needed for a quiet rest after seeing a concert at the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield. It's a quick 15-20 minute drive from the Center. Great value, too! Owner was right there to welcome us and all was as advertised. Much nicer than a typical "rustic cabin." We will be back any time we catch a show in Brownfield!

Lovely quaint place! Has a small art gallery where the ladies work is displayed, hiking and a sugar house to buy and see where maple syrup is made. The only down fall and it's not there fault is its black fly season. But everything and the decks were screened in nicely. Our cottage "eagle lodge " had everything we needed and was nicely decorated

Black flies plague everyone in Maine during May. Our screened porches, hopefully, helped lessen their peskiness. We enjoyed having you stay with us.

Our family spent a long weekend here together. The cottages were as promised in the brochure and online- simple but containing everything needed for a family looking to relax. We enjoyed cooking all of our meals in the kitchen. There are pots, pans, coffee makers, microwaves, a griddle, and many utensils available to guests. We were given plenty of towels and comfortable beds and clean bedding for our stay. We watched many old movies together as a family with the VCR and DVD provided to us in the cabins. The children loved playing with the dollhouse and lego blocks provided to us in the cabins. We had no problems using our cell phones due to a new tower installed nearby and took many great family photos as we spent time together eating, drinking, and relaxing in a quiet cabins. Members of our party talked at length with the owners about the sugaring process and toured around the property. The backroads there are lovely with many postcard perfect New England photos. We woke up every morning to birds chirping outside the window and loved a screened in cabin to sit and enjoy the sites and sounds while we sipped coffee. Don't forget DEET spray to keep the bugs at bay- they were out in full force when we visited in May!

Thank you for staying with us. In addition to movies, books, board games and puzzles we have tried to add entertainment for our younger visitors and we are always on the lookout for added fun when the weather (or Black Flies) keep them inside.
