One of the most beautiful places I have every stayed. The B and B is close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out through the trees at the harbor and the sounds of nature. Karen has harbor frontage that we enjoyed, Karen greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. Our room was on the first floor and was spotless, cozy and very comfortableL We loved being able to pet her pug, Miss Magoo and the three cats. Karen is a wealth of knowledge about the area and will supply you with maps and a list of places to eat. The best food we had were Karen's breakfasts. Karen is awesome. Can't wait to go back.

My husband and I are pleased to add to the five star ratings for host Karen and the Three Pines Inn. The inn itself has just two guest suites which adds to the secluded and beautiful escape afforded to Karen’s guests. Our room was nicely appointed (Tommy Bahama sheets and quilt) with a large window overlooking a sweeping view of the ocean just down the hill where kayaks await. Karen has been in the B&B business for many years, so is an experienced and gracious host. She shares much knowledge of the area with guests—a real plus for those unfamiliar with the Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park area—and serves homemade to-die-for vegetarian breakfasts. We were in the area to visit relatives, and would definitely stay with Karen again. Highly recommend.

We were swept away by our first experience here - maybe 14 stays ago now. And we are swept away again each time, absolutely. Karen is the most considerate host, and Three Pines B&B is in a stunning location right on Frenchmen’s Bay. Her two rooms are separated from her house by a lovely open breezeway, where she serves a vegetarian breakfast each morning. And what a beautiful breakfast! We stay in the upper room (Gable Room) with a spectacular view of the bay. It feels very private, which we like. Karen is readily available and has great suggestions for hiking, dining, etc.., upon request. We love her animals, from her little pug Miss Magoo to her sheep and all in between, cared for very tenderly by Karen. We love her off-the-grid home. Absolute highest recommendation!

Wonderful experience staying at Three Pines. Property is beautiful and host is exceptional. My wife has a special diet and host went above and beyond accommodating. Would recommend to family and friends for a place to stay near Acadia National Park area.

We have vacationed at Three Pines Bed & Breakfast and Farm for many years and this year was just as wonderful as were all our previous visits! Karen has a flair for making her guests feel welcome and special. Her homemade breakfasts made with local, organic fresh ingredients (including eggs from her chickens or ducks and homemade yogurt too) are delicious and plentiful.

Our visits have always included our dogs; this year being no exception, with our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Anika. However, we must say that a highlight of our visits is always seeing Ms. Magoo, Karen's precious, pretty Pug. She is such a delight and we enjoy having her join us for a walk on trails that can be accessed right off of Karen's driveway!! And visiting her sheep, Finn and Celina are an added treat!

We truly love our vacations at the Three Pines B&B and Farm and we highly recommend vacationing here; you won't be disappointed!

Doris & Dennis A.

My wife and I stayed at Karen's B&B for 3 nights in the Gable room on the second floor. The room was cozy and spotless. Every morning, Karen made a delicious breakfast, which we enjoyed while hanging out with the resident pug, Miss Magoo. Karen gave us fantastic recommendations for trails and sights in Acadia National Park, local restaurants, and shops. The B&B is a 45-minute drive from Bar Harbor and we enjoyed the quiet away from the crowds. We highly recommend booking a stay at Three Pines B&B if you are planning a trip to the area!

This is such a lovely B&B! Karen is the sweetest host ever. Breakfast each morning was delicious and Karen is more than happy to accomodate any special dietary needs. We loved how convenient this was to both Bar Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula. This is such a peaceful location complete with a great walking trail and harbor views. We loved how dog friendly this spot is- our dog was so happy to join us!

This is the first time I’ve enjoyed a place so much I’ve felt I have to write a review- Karen’s B&B is just perfect. My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend to visit Acadia National Park, only about a half hour drive away from Hancock. We absolutely loved the hospitality, the delicious food, and the peace and quiet. Our room had a gorgeous view overlooking the water (do bring a sleep mask because there’s no curtains and it gets very bright). Ms. Magoo, Karen’s friendly pug, was a sweet addition to the experience. Breakfast on the patio was so peaceful and Karen’s local expertise really helped us as this was our first time in the area. We will definitely be back someday when we visit Acadia again. Couldn’t recommend a better place!

My husband and I returned to Three Pines for the second year in a row after 10 days of camping. We enjoyed the fresh, plentiful breakfasts and leisurely walks in the woods to the tidal falls. The tandem kayak in the bay and swimming after was memorable.

We didn’t feel like traveling far, we had it all right there! Thanks, Karen, for accommodating our breakfast times with your baked goodies and coffee, blueberry pancakes and scones!! Not to mention the eggs with tomatoes and kale!!

We’ll be back!

This cozy b&b is tucked away on a private dirt road right along the oceanside. I can't say enough great things about the owner Karen, she is sweet, accomodating, and really cares about making her guests feel at home. Her banana bread french toast is tremendous but her homemade jam and yogurt was our favorite. We will be coming back when we visit because you cannot beat the scenery and location for this price point!
