We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. My wife and I can't say enough about the property and service. Everything about the Lodge and the guest service provided by Bev, Larry and their staff was exceptional. Accomodations are much more spacious (we were in the Moose Room) than most B&B's we have visited and stayed. The common areas and grounds overlooking the lake are exceptionally maintained. Watching the sunset from the rockers on the deck, then sitting around the fire pit was magical and relaxing. Thank you Bev and Larry for the fabulous experience! Dennis & Lorraine

This review is for their restaurant which is not listed on trip advisor yet. It hands down was one of the most creative, best meals we have ever had and we have died all over the world. Blew our minds even though they have a skeleton staff like everywhere else now they were very sweet and professional. It was expensive but worth every penny. The view added to the incredible food.

Thank you so much for this review! We are so blessed to have Chef Tyler at the Lodge with us. His creativity, thoughtfulness, and talents delight our guests. We especially love the Chef's Tasting dinner menu where guests can really see his creative energy put to work! We hope you can join us again either for Chef's Tasting menu or our regular dining hours! Thank you for visiting the lodge!

The room was great. We had a beautiful view from our deck in the carriage house. The 5 course meal in the restaurant was very good. The staff was also very friendly and always willing to help out if you needed anything. We had a great time.

Great spot to spend a couple of quiet days of hiking and fishing. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Very close to downtown Greenville and Rockwood. Beautiful views of this stunning lake. The owners are on site and very accommodating and the GM Amber was excellent, always there to help get what you need. Will try to get back soon.

Keep in mind the new owners started in 2021, so any older reviews are obsolete. The room was immaculate, bedding and pillows top quality, delicious breakfast. There's not much close by, but parks a few miles away for walk/hikes. Beautiful views, especially from their back porch.

The lodge has a nice home-y, deluxe cottage feel. Soothing blues and greens with tasteful lodge-like touches in keeping with a Maine theme. We really enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace in the cozy upholstered chairs. The bedrooms (we had the Bear and Greenslope rooms) are spacious with luxury sheets and pillows, gas fireplaces and nice tiled bathrooms. Views of the lake at the back of the property are absolutely stunning and the huge field that is the backyard is frequented by wild turkeys and deer! We did the moose safari one morning where we canoed with a guide. We saw three moose (2 bulls!) which was very cool. The staff were friendly and very responsive when needed. Breakfasts were good and the one night we had dinner there was fabulous. The food was 5 star amazing. The town is v small with only a few places to eat so be prepared for that.

We had a fabulous stay. The property is well maintained inside and out. The view from the Loon Room was gorgeous from our private balcony. We had lake and mountain views. Our room was well appointed with a fabulous shower, a gas fireplace, small refrigerator, Keurig Coffee maker, and a very comfortable king size bed. Beverly and Larry are welcoming Inn Keepers. We were greeted by their assistant Amber. We can’t say enough about the staff. Smiles abound every morning to greet us. Morning breakfast was included and delicious. The 368 Maine Restaurant was not serving dinner on the days we were there. We look forward to a return visit to enjoy the Cuisine. Don’t miss the Katadin Boat Cruise to explore Moosehead Lake. The town of Greenville is welcoming and walkable. Check out Kelly’s on the west side of the lake for a delicious yet casual dining experience. For that special evening try the Slate Restaurant at the Blair House Inn. The food was delectable. Be prepared that your bill will reflect the quality of the food presented by their Chef and the service. On a road trip we even saw a Moose. Bring your hiking boots for sure. Can’t wait to make a return visit!

Beautiful view and attentive staff. Dinner at 368 was very nice. When we were there, slamming doors and creaky stairs kept us awake. Perhaps carpet on the stairs and some sort of weather proofing on both the inside room doors and the front door would be helpful.

This lodge has a great views but the service is very poor. No restaurant open Mon Tues and Wed. Bar is only open 3pm to 6 pm , breakfast 7:30 to 9am instead of 10 am, which is the norm. All in all a pity because the hotel is nicely decorated and very clean .In an effort to make the client more autonomous you cannot enter the lodge between 1:30pm and 3 pm so if you re checking in and you arrive early you have to sit in your car. Breakfast is included in the price but if you re doing an early moose excursion and come back at 9:30 am they cannot leave it in your room for you or pack it up. The front door is locked at 6 pm so you need a code to enter as in an airbnb. Don t forget you can t have a glass of wine because the bar is closed. All in all the room cost is $400 and up so there should be some service. You can’t charge hotel prices and run it like an airbnb. Unfortunately the lodge is not in the village so if you need any of the things i mentioned you have to drive. A pity,in a desire to make the client autonomous and the staff less diligent the lodge has lost the element of service.😟

Good Morning! This review seems unfortunate since we advertise our hours exactly as you described. As a small B&B we do our best to meet our guests needs with the small staff we have within the hours we are able to provide service. Our fine dining restaurant is open Thursday-Sundays evenings as is the bar with additional hours on Wednesday from 3-6pm. We do not serve lunch as you requested. Breakfast is 7:30-9 AM as you stated. Check in is at 3pm which is customary as well. With check out at 11 AM our staff needs time to clean and prepare rooms for your visit. This is clearly communicated as well that when fully booked out, we are not usually able to provide an early check in. We also had several texts before you arrived noting the bar was open and where to dine in the evening. We are not in the "village", but the town is a 5 minute drive which our guests consider an asset when staying with us as they enjoy the quiet and respite. All of our hours are clearly stated on our website, social media, in the guest digital book, and in three confirmation emails that you receive. It is all reviewed again upon check on with your personal tour. And yes, our front door is locked in the evening for guest safety and our guests are provided the code so they may enjoy their own schedules of adventure. When you arrived on your one night stay, you requested a breakfast for your moose safari. Our breakfasts are made fresh each day and we had nothing prepared for your 5 AM departure the following morning as you requested as we did not know you were going on a moose safari. We even had discussion how there is not staff available at that hour to get you breakfast. Had we been provided with advance notice we would have gladly put a to-go breakfast together. As per our other reviews, our service has always been top notch and we stand by that. We provide as much information as we can to our guests prior to arrival regarding hours for breakfast and evening dining and also where else to eat and activities in the area. We also accommodate our in house guests with selections from the bar when the bar is closed as we did for you. We're sorry you didn't agree with our operating hours.
