Our room was small, but well appointed and clean. There are homemade cookies available each day in the breakfast area. Breakfasts were always homemade, tasty and plentiful. Only one issue and it is slight, is the lack of ice available for guest use. However, a refrigerator was made available to store a few items, which was very nice. The grounds are well maintained and the view is lovely. Overall, a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

We had a lovely long weekend at the Coveside B&B. In the area for a sea kayaking event, we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy, the amenities, and quiet charm of our cottage suite, as well as the absolutely delicious and creative breakfasts Bob whipped up for us each day! Having reserved one of the smaller rooms in the main house, we were delighted when we were graciously given a room upgrade to the cottage, due to a temporary heating glitch in the main house. Our suite was spacious, airy, absolutely clean and the bed was so very comfortable. The view of the cove is lovely and we only wish we had more time to enjoy it during our visit.

We stayed here for a few nights of ocean and relaxation time before heading inland for fall colors. Everything here was first class. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfasts were terrific and very creative. The common areas for hanging out (and we did a good deal of that) were perfect. Bob is the relatively new proprietor of the Coveside Inn. He was very helpful in suggesting dinner places to us. Further, we had planned this trip a year ago but had to cancel at the last minute for business reasons. The previous proprietor had kept our deposit but promised to credit it to this visit a year later. Bob was under no obligation to honor that commitment, but did anyway out of good faith and good customer relations even though it was money out of his pocket. A very decent thing to do. If you want quiet, peaceful and scenic, this is the place to go. But be aware that it is a bit isolated. If you're looking for the buzz and amenities of a coastal town, you might look elsewhere. But for us, we loved it and will be back. Two thumbs up - actually four thumbs counting both my wife's and mine.

Coveside is one of those places which seems just to be there to make you feel relaxed. Incredible setting, lovely rooms and great breakfast. It’s quintessential Maine. We wish we had longer and would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you Bob and team. Damien & Mark

Returned to Coveside, looking forward to the superb gourmet breakfast we'd enjoyed about 5 years ago. Based on our memory and recent Trip Advisor reviews we fully expected our choice would be worth the higher price than nearby bnb's. Maybe we were there on an off morning. The breakfast was absolutely disappointing with simply juice, coffee, tasteless waffles with sausages. There was a scone served that was quite delicious. When I asked if there was any fruit, the reply was simply "no." So there was not even a bowl with apples, etc. or some berries to go with waffles. No egg dish or hot or cold cereal. I've more enjoyed continental breakfast at motels or bnb's which have more offerings. When I learned that the owner is new this summer, I understood why our experience was entirely different this time around. While the Coveside setting is lovely and Alice's room was delightful, at a bed and breakfast at this price we expected a somewhat heartier and more truly satisfying breakfast experience.
