We recently enjoyed a Staycation Special for Mainers at the Coveside B&B and loved everything about our stay. We were in the Sheepscot Suite in the separate cottage building. It was bright and spacious and had an extremely comfortable king-sized bed, a sitting area, a very good shower, and a private deck overlooking the cove. We appreciated the air-conditioning, not always found in Maine B&Bs. There is a great screened porch with rocking chairs in the lower level of the cottage, as well as a common room with a refrigerator and coffee maker. The flower-filled grounds are lovely as is the view of the cove. The setting is quiet and serene. Another advantage of the location is its proximity to the stunning Reid State Park, less than 10 minutes away. The enchanting town of Bath is just a 20 minute drive. Bob, the personable owner, prepared hearty, delicious breakfasts – including the best blueberry muffins I’ve ever had. The strawberry rhubarb crisp was a real treat, too!
This was a delightful getaway in every respect.

We discovered the Coveside B&B as a perfect escape to relax and were delighted to spend a few days there. Bob, our friendly and gracious host, made us feel welcome instantly. We stayed in the Sheepscot Suite which is located in a lovely cottage building across the way from the Main House. The suite is large, charming and has a comfy king-sized bed, a cozy sitting area, a large bathroom with a terrific shower and the most wonderful private deck that overlooks the cove. The cottage also has a screened porch with rocking chairs on the ground level and a common room that includes a TV, tables, chairs, board games, a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and plates, bowls glassware and utensils available for use. We were looking for peace and quiet which was exactly what we enjoyed. Our mornings brought delicious two-course breakfasts prepared by Bob (who is an excellent cook). Our favorite meal was an egg omelet with caramelized onions and goat cheese, but every breakfast was terrific and filling! Coveside’s location is very close to Reid State Park which has sandy beaches and sand dunes to explore. The delightful town of Bath with its shops and restaurants is just a 20-mnute drive away. This was our first visit to Coveside, but we will definitely be visiting again. Thanks, Bob, for pampering us!

I visited Coveside with the hopes of hiking, biking, writing and resting. I couldn't have chosen a better place! There are several hiking trails within biking distance of Coveside. There were many quiet places to write, at Coveside and along the trails. And rest was easy to come by in a comfortable, quiet room, knowing that a delicious and nourishing breakfast would await the next day. I can't wait to return!

This B&B was ok, but there are many better locations. There isn’t much of a view. It is in a heavily forested area (so you don’t want to be outside after dusk or the mosquitos will attack you), and it is on a very small tidal bay that has lumber in the pond, and a lobster co-op across the way so it isn’t very picturesque. If you are going to hike the state park it is close by, or if you want a quiet place to write a book, this may be perfect for you. The room was clean, coffee and tea are available in the first floor kitchen, and Bob made blueberry muffins for breakfast. Nice effort, but…Breakfast was just ok. I had expected more from the rave reviews. The wharf down the street was awesome for dinner. It had just re-opened when we arrived. The lobster there was amazing.

This is the perfect B&B It is very secluded on a cove in the area of Georgetown Maine.
Bob , the owner/Innkeeper is an excellent host he will help you choose a local restaurant to enjoy lunch or dinner at.
The view from most of the rooms Including ours) is spectacular. We were in the Malden Room on the second floor and it was well decorated and the bed was very comfortable.
Bob makes a delicious breakfast that is served in the breakfast room downstairs, which is an excellent time to get to know the other lucky guests who were fortunate to find this Inn to stay in.
If your looking for a romantic or peaceful getaway - this is the place.

This B and B is very quaint and is located on the Cove which provides beautiful views. Our particular room was the Georgetown suite which had a fireplace inside with views directly to the cove where you could watch the lobster boats come in. The owner, Bob, was very delightful and his breakfasts are delicious. We arrived on a Monday and were there for two nights. Unfortunately some of the restaurants in the area we're not open on Monday and Tuesday for dinner so our drive to the nearest restaurant was about 11 miles in Bath. That said, it provided entertainment as the town of Bath is also quaint and don't forget to visit the Maritime Museum which was awesome!

We greatly enjoyed our recent stay at Coveside Bed and Breakfast and highly recommend it to those traveling along the mid-coast of Maine. The setting is beautiful and serene, with a large lawn overlooking the cove, and our room (which had its own door leading out to the lawn and cove) was comfortable and spotless. The owner, Bob, took great care of us and treated us to wonderful homemade breakfasts, including the best gluten-free blueberry muffins we've ever had! (For GF travelers used to the limited breakfast choices at hotels and B&Bs, you will especially appreciate the care Bob puts into accommodating your dietary needs!) Our only regret is that this lovely, beautifully operated inn is too far from NYC for us to come more regularly. Thank you, Bob, for a memorable and restorative stay.

My husband and I stayed in the Sheepscot room for a night this weekend, and I can’t wait to return. Bob, the owner, is a gracious and friendly host. When we pulled up, we were immediately impressed by the beautiful landscaping and a view of the cove. We took the kayaks out of the cove and into the channel between the islands and mainland. The water is a little rough outside of the islands.
Our room had a balcony, and instead of going out for dinner after a huge lunch at Five Islands Lobster Co, we ate cheese, strawberries, and pie from the local farm stand as we watched the sun get lower.
The bed was one of the comfiest I’ve been in, and we were able to draw the shades and turn the AC on, and I slept for the longest time since having my second baby.
Breakfast was lovely and the coffee was great. We took the kayaks for another spin, played a game or two of Rumikub, and set off for more adventures.
If you have the chance, stay at least a few nights and take it all in. You won’t regret it!

We spent July 4th at Coveside and it was magical. The rooms were beautifully appointed, very comfortable and clean. Bob was a fantastic host and was very responsive by email before our arrival, making sure we knew where to eat and what to do. The property is picturesque with many spots to sit and enjoy the views. We were able to use the kayaks and bikes on the property to get fresh lobster nearby. One of the best parts of our stay was the delicious breakfast. We hope to be back soon.

The unimaginable beauty of our view through the trees of the cove and grassy banks rivals the care and service Bob puts in to run this adorable establishment that truly is one of a kind. The bathroom was well appointed with British amenities; the bed was comfortable; as were the rocking chairs on the enclosed porch. The only time we saw anyone else was during the family-served breakfast in the main dining room. We borrowed the canoes and bikes and admired the changing tides from the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. A true slice of unpretentious heaven.

credit cards accepted. I would call between 9-10am or between 2-5pm. They are often out on errands during the day. You can also make reservation requests online. I did that with great ease & success. A fabulous place to stay!
