My wife and I have strayed in 40 + BnB within the USA and the EU. Coveside by far is our number 3 BnB of all the places we strayed at!. The view from our room overlooked the cove, it’s tides, view of lobster boats wait each morning to get their catch, fresh ocean air breeze. What else can you ask for? The property is well maintained and groomed, overall beautiful. Our room, was extremely clean, lots of extra blankets, pillows, the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great, powerful stream of water pressure. Make no mistake, we’re heading back this time in mid Summer, just to relax by his cove on their Adirondack chairs with some cheese and crackers….and wine too. Now for the breakfast, wow! Bob (innkeeper) one heck of a chef. His blueberry pancakes with local maple syrup and local smoked bacon (his blueberry muffin too) well, just outstanding! Bob puts his love into cooking, making sure everyone is comfortable. You’ll never find such a place like Coveside BnB. We had issues with our car in Bath, we called Bob if he could pick us up and return us to his BnB, without any hesitation he was there in 20 minutes. Bob also drove us back to Bath so we could get our car fixed. Not many innkeepers would drop what their doing to rescue his customers. Just can’t say enough about Coveside BnB.…
When we want to just escape our busy schedules, we head to the Coveside Bed and Breakfast in Georgetown, Maine. Our host, Bob, is very welcoming; and we enjoyed our visit so much last May, that we were eager to visit again. Our 2nd floor Cottage suite, Sheepscot, is spacious, comfortable and has a lovely deck that we could sit, relax and stare out at the cove. Breakfasts are always delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. Thank you, Bob. We hope to return again next year!!
Bob is a gracious host and owner of this wonderful B&B. We stayed in the cottage and could not have been happier with the room and the delicious breakfasts. Our only regret was only having 2 nights here. If you are visiting the mid coast of Maine I highly recommend Coveside.
The quietest place we have ever stayed. We occupied the ground floor room in the main house, which was handy to the TV room and kitchen. My wife could sleep in while I could grab an early coffee and spend some time outside, taking in the morning quiet of the Cove and visiting with Bob's cat. Bob serves a great breakfast indoor or out. Afternoon Lobster Rolls from nearby 5 Island Lobster Co. fueled our visit to Reid Beach and hike. The room was very clean, with a couple of chairs on the porch to sit with a glass of wine to take in the view.
Coveside B & B is peaceful and a beautifully situated place to stay. The rooms are lovely and all have coastal views. Host, Bob Doucette, serves wonderful breakfasts and enjoying it with other people on the patio, or indoors, is so interesting. We have met many local and international guests and enjoyed talking with them. Lots of interesting things to do in the area as well.
My wife and I had a perfect three day stay in the Arrowsic room at the Coveside. Lovely spotlessly clean room with a view of the cove. Our host, Bob Ducette, created a wonderful breakfast each morning. Definitely hope to return some day.
This is one of the most relaxing places I have been to in Maine. The rooms are comfortable. We loved sitting on the private balcony in the cottage room and the common area screened in porch. There are kayaks that we wish we had used in the bay. Very close to Reid State Park and a couple good restaurants.
We had the two suites on the second floor of the cottage and it met or surpassed our expectations. The screened porch made a perfect spot for sharing cups of coffee before going over to a delicious breakfast on the patio.
We were two couples and stayed overnight this week. Our friends had stayed before and recommended it and they were quite right to do so. Bob and the staff are terrific and the rooms were very clean and comfortable with great views of the cove. We were made completely at home and told to just go in the kitchen if we wanted coffee or needed any type of supplies. We got up the next morning for an early morning kayak (supplied, nice 12 footers) and it was gorgeous on the water. And as others have said, the full breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend the Coveside.
We took over the main house and the cottage for a weekend. Bob was the perfect host. The breakfasts were fantastic and very fancy. The rooms were very clean and adorable. The views from the porches was breath taking. Definitely a place to return to
