We recently returned to the Old Saco Inn for our second visit. Bruce and Jon are the most congenial hosts! Everyone is treated like family. The accommodations are lovely, clean and up-to-date all in the setting of an old-style inn; it still feels like the family home it was decades ago. We were able to stay an additional night, so that we could enjoy an incredible dinner in the new event space. Bruce and Jon and their staff have done an amazing job of adapting to dinner service (Thursday-Saturday) in this stunning space. They were also spot on in their recommendations for dinner on alternate evenings. The inn's proximity to the White Mountains makes it an excellent home base for exploring both in-land Maine and northern New Hampshire. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips recommended by the hosts, hiking nearby Blueberry Mountain and leaf-peeping in Crawford Notch.

We spent two nights in the Saco Suite at the Old Saco Inn the first week in October. The accommodations where exceptional. John and Bruce are very attentive hosts. They provided great recommendations on things to do in the area and pointed us to good food and beautiful drives in the area. The ‘on’ property restaurant was not open during our stay, but we will plan better next time! The breakfast menu provides several delicious options for guests to choose from. We had a great stay. We definitely recommend the Old Saco Inn and will plan to visit again.

The inn is nestled on the most lovely piece of land and in a gorgeous area. There are so many outdoor activities all year to take advantage of. It was perfect for a quiet weekend getaway with our pup. Jon and Brad were such gracious hosts, we felt so welcomed and at home. Everything we needed or wanted was provided and then some. We'll definitely go back again! We highly recommend this place for anyone (couples, families, etc.) who wants to enjoy some time away.

It is a charming rustic inn with lovely modern amenities like new private baths, WIFI, and TV. The campus also includes an incredible bistro which is a spacious work of handcrafted art of pegged post and beam construction. (Plenty of room for social distancing.) The food was excellent, the service great. Full bar and live music included. Your stay includes breakfast - a full hot breakfast prepared to your specifications. The owners, Jon and Bruce, are absolutely delightful hosts.

I can't even say enough about what a wonderful experience this was! I decided after this crazy year to take a 3 day birthday weekend away alone. The Old Saco Inn was the perfect choice. It is amazingly beautiful. When you drive up, the buildings are incredible. Check in was so easy and I was given the Sweden Suite. I wish I had taken more pictures!! It was beautiful, immaculate and spacious. It had a soak tub that could fit 6 people! There was a very comfortable lounge couch, that I am not embarrassed to say I spent many hours on reading my book. Jon and Bruce were so accommodating. Giving me instructions on where I could go to antique stores, shopping, nightlife and more. The first night I had dinner in the barn restaurant. The barn is so beautiful with breathtaking chandeliers and exposed beams. ALL of the staff work together as a team and service is impeccable. I ordered the seafood risotto and it was probably the best thing I have ever eaten. By the end of the 3 days I felt like I had spent a week on a tropical beach. I can't wait to return with my kids for winter fun! Thank you guys so much!
