The innkeepers were very nice. It was obvious that they enjoyed having people spend time in their B&B. My room was comfortable with lots of windows. Even though I was on the first floor in the front of the house it was still quiet at night. The highlight was breakfast. The French toast was amazing. Made with croissants and real Maine maple syrup. I’m definitely going to use croissants the next time I make French toast! FYI To get to the entrance of the inn from the parking lot you have to walk up some steep stairs. This could possibly be an issue for some people carrying their suitcase.
We loved our 1-night stay at the White Cedar Inn. Monica greeted us with a warm welcome and showed us all that we needed to know about the inn and our room. We stayed in the Crow's Nest which is a cute and spacious 1 bedroom with two beds (one king and one twin) and a private full bathroom. The shower is definitely on the smaller size, but it gets the job done. There were not any shampoo and conditioner provided, but we had brought our own just in case. The room has its own private staircase which it made it feel even more like our own little suite! The breakfast in the morning was amazing and they were very accommodating to my wife's gluten-sensitivity. They made her a gluten-free version of the blueberry lemon french toast, which was out of this world! We loved being so close to downtown Freeport and all of the shops. If it weren't so cold out, we would have walked. If we are ever looking to stay in Freeport again, we'll definitely book at the White Cedar Inn!…
Within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very accommodating, comfortable and great breakfast. Rock was friendly as was his helper Ricky. Rock had great suggestions on restaurants and the area. We will be back...
A lovely, clean and homey B&B, we love staying with Monica and Rock. Delicious breakfasts, and good advice on what to visit in Freeport. Rooms are nicely decorated. The “living room” has LOTS of books and comfy chairs, and hot tea etc always available. We have stayed here twice. No disappointments.
We are yearly guests to Freeport, ME and have always stayed at neighboring B&B, but that place was not available, so we call the White Cedar Inn because they always looked so nice as we walked by in past years. They were very pleasant while making our reservation and were able to give us a little information about our normal resting place. Upon our arrival, everything was all ready. They had tips for how to spend our time, all of the needed passcodes for WiFi and the Inn security, and amenities at our disposal. The next morning it was a homemade breakfast that would rival any upscale resort. We had such a pleasant conversation on common vacation destinations and found that Monica and I share an interest in photography. They were also very helpful in locating a place to stay and excursion for another visit to upstate Maine to look for moose. We will certainly consider staying at the White Cedar Inn again!!!…
