Just got back from a nite away. Had to write a review because we loved the Inn. The only thing we could complain about is dinner. We had it in the Tavern and was little disappointed , we waited quite awhile for our dinner to arrived and when it did my husband's was over cooked and tasteless and it was one of the specials., i can't say enough about the afternoon tea (the best cookies ever. ) The breakfast was equally as good. Most of all the staff was wonderful and especially the owner Skip who was willing to go out of his way to show us a part of town we were interested in. Can't wait to go back.

Food in dining room is very good. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Close to downtown stores. They have a lovely afternoon tea. I would recommend this hotel. Rooms are very nice. Older inn but lovely.

The rooms here are really wonderful: sparkling clean, subdued in decor, and extremely comfortable. The beds (and sheets) are SO comfortable. An ideal place to rest.I find this place very soothing in its atmosphere. The food is fantastic. In general, this place is first rate.

We have been coming many years to this lunch and in the last year and a half it has declined in quality. Chefs have changed to less pleasant people who have no interest in keeping things fresh and replenished. Wait 10 minutes for another pizza because they don’t put one in until the very last slice is gone. The steak and chicken were very over cooked and cold. Something on a toothpick with bacon and small piece of beef and maybe a fig?( to brown to tell what anything was) was over done and covered with a glaze to hid the burnt taste. There was a potatoe and chicken salad that must have been left over items. The potatoes were hard and chewy with a refrigerator taste and the chicken was dry even covered in the mayo. For the price jumping $7 a person probably shouldn’t go with less quality food and people who don’t know how to cook or cut meat properly.

We're so sorry your experience in the Broad Arrow Tavern did not live up to your expectations. We've shared your comments with staff and management and will do our best to rectify the faults you observed. Our tavern lunch buffet is usually excellent and should be every single day. We want everyone to leave happy. We've tried very hard to keep the price of our buffet luncheon within range of everyone who is seeking locally raised and harvested foods. Thank you for your critique and we hope you'll give us another try in the future. Penny Gray The Gray family

We've stayed at the Inn several times in both summer and winter and have always felt wonderfully at home. Very nice large rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, cozy restaurant, and we particularly like the free afternoon tea. The staff is terrific.
