The Farmington Motel isn't fancy, but it is a clean and satisfactory place to stay. The management, which changed recently, is friendly and eager to please. Everything worked well in my room; it had a relatively small color TV with standard cable that worked well--better than average for an inexpensive motel, in fact. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. It's an old-fashioned sort of place; I'm sure for the most part, I'm sure it probably looked very much as it does now, thirty years ago. It is located on US 2 and Maine Route 27, out in the country about two miles east of downtown and UM-Farmington. There once was a restaurant across the road, but this is now a funeral parlor. No restaurant or grocery is within walking distance. This is also the only one of the various lodging establishments in Farmington located east of town. If you were visiting someone in eastern Farmington, Farmington Falls or New Sharon, this would be the closest place to stay. I paid less than $50 a night to stay here, and felt I got a good value.

I was attending a reunion & needed a motel in the area for two nights at a budget rate. I read reviews & called for prices & settled on this motel. It was fine! The owners were nice. The bed was very comfortable. It had a refrigerator & microwave. I didn't bother to bring my laptop but it supposedly had free wi-fi. It was clean except that in the shower, the grout needed to be re-done & looked black, but easily overlooked for the price, which was way lower than anywhere else in the area. The shower was good. There were old fashioned tiles & fixtures in the bathroom. Did I care? Not a bit, in fact it brought back some fond memories of the past. The motel was perfectly acceptable to me. For breakfast, they had take-away coffee, which was pretty good, & (store bought) cellophane packs of two smallish muffins, blueberry or banana nut. (Not bad.) They might have had cereal, I don't recall, since I wasn't interested in it... They had little trays to use to bring the coffee & muffins back to the room. I'd stay there again for the price!

This motel is old but clean. It cost $55 to stay. Farmington is in the middle of nowhere, so from that point of view, it is good to have a place to stay. The owners are nice people. The showers and sinks work nicely. The air conditioning unit is noisy but it beats stuffy sleeping. We slept well. We wish that more people got up to central Maine so that the owners could have a little more profit to plow back into the business. Farmington is a college town and quite pretty.

We were put in what they called a suite. It had two full beds in it.we stayed one night and trust me I didn't even want to stay that one night. There was no hot water at all, the room smelles like sewer and the beds when we turned it down had dirt in the sheets. No volume on TV so you could watch it but not hear it. Horrible experience

This place was exactly what I needed, a clean comfortable bed for the night at a very reasonable price. The chain hotels down the road were outrageously priced. I kept driving in hopes I would find a small local place without an online presence. I was quite pleased to see the sign of this hotel rise in the distance. The woman at the front desk efficiently checked me in while being very friendly. My room was well cared for. I was surprised to find a fridge and coffee maker. I collapsed onto the comfortable no frills bed. Plenty of hot water with good pressure to wake me up in the morning.

I recently booked two rooms at this motel for myself, my daughter and grandkids. My room was a standard and the other a suite that was supposed to have a fold out sofa. My room smelled bad, had ripped carpets and water pipes that knocked and groaned when other rooms used the water (which happened late at night and at 6AM). The suite didn't have a couch and the woman at the front desk admitted it hadn't had a couch for years. Good news, the suite was discounted when I asked and it had plenty of hot water. My advice is spend a little extra money and stay someplace else.

I have to give a big shout out to Dorothy the manager at Farmington Motel. Dorothy was an absolute life saver last year. I sold my house and the deal I was going into fell through and I couldn't find a place to live. I have 2 very small elderly dogs and my disabled son. Farmington motel came through with a motel suite with a kitchenette and I was able to have my dogs. Dorothy and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. Room was cleaned daily. They help me get through a truly rough patch in my life. And it made all the difference. I would highly recommend Farmington Motel.

I stayed six months Jan-June 2024

I spent 5 months remodeling rooms at this property. The owners and staff at this property were very professional and attentive to my needs while th renovations were being done. I recommend staying here the views are beautiful and the staff is number one in my book.

This is an old facility but the cost is low -- about $55 total. I could hear traffic noise on the road and the shower was not pretty. The front desk people were very friendly and that was good. I did not get the wake up call I requested. Good thing I always travel with a clock.

This is a place for value. I know my wife would not stay here.
