Detailed Reviews
We traveled here from New Brunswick, Canada. Chose to stay here as it was not far from Brunswick, Maine where we plan to attend the airshow. They offer a continental breakfast and we were told that they are in process of renovating all the rooms. There is a Walmart in the community not far if you want to purchase snacks. There is a bar fridge and microwave in the room. We stayed in room 116.

Delightful young family running this classic roadside motel... I loved parking right in front of the room door, and the beds were SUPER comfortable, the sheets soft, the towels plush and the rooms very clean. We were four adults (myself, my husband and my parents) traveling to Farmington, and needing a good place to spend a night. The room was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, very quiet in spite of being located off a main strip, and very reasonably priced! As another reviewer put it, this is not a Hilton (and no pool or exercise room), and yes, the facilities are aging and will benefit from renovations, but everything worked, the shower was delightful, a keurig coffee machine in every room, and the staff are super attentive, kind, available and helpful. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Farmington!

My wife and I take little road trips for rest and relaxation so we just drive till we get tired. Recently it was getting late and we came into Farmington so we inquired at a couple motels and the prices were far beyond a reasonable off season rate. We pulled into the Colonial Valley Motel and were promptly met at the front desk by a very nice lady who was very polite. She allowed us to see the room prior to checking in and we were very pleased. The room was very comfortable and clean. The motel is older but appears to be well mantained. I must add that my wife and I are in Hotel business and can spot issues quite quickly but we will not hesitate to stay at the Colonial again. The prices were very reasonable, so in closing I will say if you need a comfortable/clean room at a fare price check-out the Colonial Valley Motel when in the Farmington area

There aren’t a lot of options in this area but I’m glad I tried this motel. I previously stayed at the Comfort Inn down the road but it cost a lot more and last time I stayed there it was very noisy. The Colonial was very quiet and my room was clean and pretty comfortable. I saw that someone complained about checking in and having to call and wait, so I put my ETA in the notes in the reservation (I did it on their website, it was less expensive than any travel site). There was someone waiting there for me and I was in my room quickly.
It’s not in a big metropolis by any means, but there are enough stores and food options nearby (keep in mind most restaurants around here close at 9 or 10pm). Checking out was fine but when I tried to check out at 7:45 no one was there and the sign said closed but said it reopens at 8am. I used this time to get gas and a quick breakfast. Next time if I need to leave at a certain time I will ask while checking in just to be safe.
I would certainly return to this hotel if I need to stay in the area again.

I originally was booked at the Mt. Blue Motel but when I went to check in, they said my room was out of order, so they moved me to the Colonial Valley Motel and upgraded me to a suite. Sounded great but turns out to be a bad choice. I checked in at Colonial Valley Motel, brought all my stuff to my room and upon leaving, I called the front desk to ask them to do something about the smell in my room. It smelled heavily of pet urine. I returned several hours later to find my front door wide open!!!! WTF!!! That was their idea of handling the smell. Remind you, all my things were inside, the place was swarming with people who gave me the creeps (these people are well known in town and if I had know they were back, I would have never booked this stay). On top of all that, the bed sunk in the center, the bathroom was dirty and there was trash left in the kitchen trash can. I will NEVER stay here again. I'd almost rather sleep in my car, in the Walmart parking lot next door.

The motel rooms are nicely updated & the staff went out of their way to accommodate us on my sons wedding weekend. They graciously left a surprise of flowers & gift basket which was incredibly thoughtful. They also even upgraded them to a king suite on their wedding night!

Since 09/22 the management, co worker and housekeeping as been amazing. I am here for work and had a stressful ride specially coming from Fla. No hotels were available and they made sure that we got a room and situated for our months stay. I don’t think any other hotel would have took the time to do what they did in a tight situation I had. Housekeeping is amazing! Clean room everyday and if we need anything extra they will make sure it’s taking care of. Management is A1 🤗. Really enjoying my time at this hotel. Not too mention they also have services to wash and folded our clothes.

Ms. Cassandra, Thank you so much for your review. We are very happy that we can make you feel at home while you are away. I will definitely pass this compliment onto our staff. They are a great bunch of team players. We try very hard to assist our guest with anything that comes up. I am so glad that you are taking advantage of the terrific laundry service as well. Thank you for your patronage! Manager

My wife and I recently stayed in your motel.
Unfortunately it was not a pleasant experience.
Day one the cold water was out and we had to find the shut off behind the wall so we could turn it on to flush the toilet and use the facility because no one was at the front desk to help us.
Then that evening a group of bikers were in the room next door and were outside drinking alcohol. It was a very intimidating experience parking next to them and getting into our room. Then they kept us awake for several hours partying and loudly swearing and again no one was at the desk to help.

Location and pricing are great - older motel with updates/improvements being worked on since under new management. Staff are very friendly and I would definitely stay here again when in the area! Bring your own coffee though as they only offer 2 freebies / day
