Stopped here because of reviews and wasn't disappointed. A step back in time greets you at the door. Open door policy so no need to be there at a certain time. Beds very comfortable, bathroom spacious. Most importantly, the place is immaculate. Our bedroom had the original stencilled wallpaper! Breakfast was fresh raspberries and blackberries, homemade bread and jams, waffle,... More

If you are an aficionado of history, particularly Maine history, then you will appreciate & enjoy the Quaker Tavern B&B. Donna has owned the home & property for over 40 years, and delivers a bonafide, delicious & welcoming B&B experience. My room (solo) was quiet, comfortable & had everything I needed: comfy bed, four pillows, perfect temp, adorable "bathroom in... More

We had a lovely stay at the Quaker Tavern B & B. The rooms were gorgeous, the breakfast was awesome, and Donna is a wonderful and welcoming host. Easily accessible from the Maine Turnpike, but quiet and secluded. Take a step back in time and enjoy this bed and breakfast!

The owner, Donna, treated us like family, and catered to our dietary needs and preferences at every breakfast. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The decor was lovely. We could not have been happier, and I would eagerly recommend this lovely B&B to anyone who can climb stairs.

If you want to know the history of the area and you want to tell your friends you stayed in a very old house, this is the place to stay. The proprietor, Ms. Donna Little, is a fountain of information as well as the owner of this historic house. Each room has its own characteristic style and it was interesting... More

A unique place to stay. Comfortable, relaxed and just plain easy going. Anyone who enjoys a touch of history wouldn't mind staying here since it's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Donna truly makes the inn what it is, however, with great food (lots of organics) and friendly, cheerful conversation. The inn just feels right.

The character of the Quaker Tavern B and B is unmistakably refreshing, green, and steeped in history. Donna has ensured that all guests wake up to sample organic soaps, foods, and go to sleep with a very comfortable comforter. Breakfast featured fresh organic eggs done any way we wanted, her signature waffles, a rhubarb crisp originating from her own rhubarb... More

This is the real deal when it comes to going back to the 1800s, the house is 88% original with wide board floors, double hung 18 pane original glass windows, antiques and memorabilia complete with magazines and books in the library that will take you back in time. The innkeeper is very pleasant, gregarious and does an outstanding job with... More

I really don't have anything new to add; I read each of the 25 reviews which preceded mine before writing this, and agree that they accurately represent Quaker Tavern and it's proprietress. I am just providing my voice of confirmation to the chorus of praises. We encountered many of the same scenarios other travelers mentioned, and they were easily accommodated... More

This big homestead is located just outside of Portland, ME, and is a short 15 minute drive to the airport and not too far from downtown. Donna, the hostess with the mostest, is extremely cordial and eager to make sure your stay is fantastic. She makes a wonderful breakfast every morning with local fare and her kale omelet is a...
