My family and I stayed at Twin Cottages in August of 2019. We stayed in the front room of the main house. It was clean and quiet, but not well maintained. There was a storm which caused a bad leak over one of the beds. The owners seemed irritated when we called to report it. It took at least an hour for a maintenance man to come and help with the leak. His advice was to move the bed. He helped my husband move the bed away from the leak, and gave us a bucket to catch the water. That was it! After a restless sleep with a leaking ceiling, we went out for the day as the leak was going to be repaired. When we came back, the leak had not been repaired and the owners told us we could move into a larger apartment in the main house. There was no apology, just that we could move into the other apartment. This was our last night there. The larger apartment was very nice, but didn't have enough towels. Really disappointing service.

No frills roadside Cottages. Very easy and contactless check in and out. Very clean and comfortable. Each Cottage is about 25 feet apart so it was easy to socially distance ourselves from other guests.

If you are seeking an “economy” rental near Acadia, and value cleanliness, quiet, and comfort, you won’t go wrong here. We stayed 8 nights and found Twin Hills to be perfect. The hosts were friendly and responsive, without being intrusive, and they went out of their way to ensure our every need was met. This place is a bit further out but the peace and quiet can’t be beat.

We were a large group and the 5 bedroom house was perfect. Kitchen had the essentials, big sitting room, comfortable beds and hot showers. Half the price of a rental on MDI, worth the 30 minute drive to Acadia. Didn't get a chance to BBQ but we will be back. Cottages are a nice view on the sunset

We stayed in an apartment. Things are basic and old, which was fine, but oddly arranged and somewhat disfunctional. The owners try hard I think, but their efforts are hit and miss. The storm door did not close unless you hefted up the handle, which could easily be fixed by aligning it correctly. We were told that Internet was intermittent. It was non existent unless one went outside to the east of the 'farmhouse'. This could be easily remedied. There is no office. The owners seem to live in one of the cottages behind a house, and perhaps a tent or 2 set up on the far side of the property. It's an odd place with toddlers outside mostly unsupervised. There was no interaction or communication with the owners/management except by an older, somewhat weird, gentleman who came to chat us up a few times. The backyard area is a mess with odd green camo barriers set up, kids toys, and some old barbecues which didn't appear serviceable. There was also a bonfire area filled with construction debris. This backyard goes into the woods and could be a lovely place. A guide to tv stations would be helpful as well as some information about the area. There was a bundled stack of old tourist information newspapers on the porch of the 'farmhouse' which looked as if they had been there for months. There were no coathangers in the closet. Was told we would get an email the day before arrival with check in info but it came the afternoon of our arrival, which was problematic for other guests who arrived at night, with no cell service, and were clueless as to what to do. Would not stay here again.
