Nice get away in our backyard. All the site hookups were in good working order. Fire ring was clean and sight was level. Quiet during quiet hours and the staff were always out and about maintaining the grounds and checking in if anyone needed assistance.

Beautiful park, pond. Close to Acadia for daily trips, and clean pond perfect for swimming and kayaking. The more expensive sites are definitely worth the difference, being closer to the water. Loved talking with the seasonal campers who helped me feel more comfortable staying through the overnight tropical storm. Wish the office was open past 5, had to get firewood elsewhere for one of the nights, but found some for sale along the road.

We travel full time in our motorhome and are members of Thousand Trails and Encore Parks. Patten Pond is by far the cleanest and best managed park we have visited in our two years on the road. Although it's near all the best places to visit in the area, it has an out-of-the way secluded feel to it. You really feel like you're camping here, not just parking your RV in a lot. They have a small beachfront on the lake that's ideal for kids to play and swim on as well as a playground. The park is beautifully landscaped and constantly attended to by the staff.

Congratulations to all who manage and work at this park. It's a clear cut above most other parks in the system. You can tell when the people who manage a park really care about their little slice of heaven. Thank you!!

We spent three night in a cottage and it was a bad experience. The property requires a lot of maintenance, the bed was so uncomfortable so we had to use our comforter as mattress pad. Hot water last in two minutes when shower. TV and microwave can be upgraded with very low cost. To be honest we expected more after paying $200+/night.

Location is about 45 min to an hour from bar harbor depending on traffic. Sites were packed in. Not much breathing room. It was however very quiet. We stayed in a cottage advertised to accommodate 4 people but the hot water heater was so small it wasn’t enough for one person to take a full shower. I was told the tank is just small. No resolution. The AC also did not cool the cottage. It was hotter inside the cottage then outside by the end of the day.

Four of the six adults stayed in the cottage with the loft. The beds were not as comfortable as expected. Heat worked well for that chilly night and morning. The other part of the family stay on a camper site close to us. The children were able to visit unattended with their cousins

Pros: The Pond! Beautiful pond area with clear, shallow water for swimming. Fantastic. Also, a firepit and picnic table on our tent site. Lovely hot water in the showers.

Cons: Tent site so uneven that it was difficult to squeeze in our 8 person tent plus a vehicle. Toilets were cleaned once a day but quickly became blocked and dirty. Showers and dishwashing area looked like they had not been cleaned in a long time - we couldn't put our clean dishes down anywhere while washing them, it was that dirty. And a boil water notice was posted while we were there as the water supply was not safe to drink.

The ground at our site, #41, was lower at the front half of our rig and higher at the rear and at the road, so all the rain accumulated at the front half of our rig. At one point we had nearly 4" of water at the base of our stairs and under the awning....making it impossible to get out or our rig without walking through water. Simply adding more gravel or creating a channel from this low area to the creek behind the spot would remedy this problem. When it wasn't raining, the roads were quite dusty. Other than these problems with our particular site, the campground was acceptable. OTA TV was non existent. Verizon signal was OK. We paid for Camplink Wifi and it worked pretty good to stream Netflix. Had no problems with W/E/S connections.

My friend and I stayed in the small rental cabin near the lake. Location was gorgeous and the facilities were well-kept and neat. The bathhouse was always clean, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that we had to walk a distance to get there. There was a porta potty close to our cabin but we preferred the cleaner, fresher smelling bathhouse. Thanks for a great stay! I’m sure we will use this site again if we find ourselves back in this area of Maine.

If you're looking for a clean, well-kept resort, you need not look any further. We have stayed at many resorts over the years from Maine to Florida and we have never found one this well kept. The lots are carved into rolling hills with plenty of shade trees. The rock formations HUGE! I mean "Monster Size" rocks! The staff is great. I'm normally a hard-to-please sort of guy and I must say ... I'm VERY please to have stayed with these fine folks. Thank you!
