I spent 4 nights at the Kilby House Inn and wish I could have stayed longer. Greg has created charming inn. The breakfasts he prepared were wonderful. He also facilitated conversations among the guests both at breakfast and at the end of the day as we returned from our individual adventures. For me, returning each evening was like coming home. My stay there was the highlight of my 10 days in Maine.

Greg was the most engaging, helpful, and interesting host we've ever had the pleasure to experience at a B&B. He has created a charming house, filled with beautiful antique furniture, fine art, and interesting books. Our elegantly appointed bedroom was comfortable and had a clean and spacious bathroom. And Greg prepared and served the house guests delicious, filling breakfasts. But what makes the Kilby House most remarkable is Greg. He was eager to sit and chat with us, and his stories--about Eastport, the Kilby House, his lifetime of experiences--created a very welcoming and comfortable home-like atmosphere. The Kilby House is the place to stay if you come to the Eastport area.

Traveling from NC to East Port, ME our 3 night stay landed us at the lovely, historic Kilby House. Our room was clean, quiet, private, and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wonderful breakfast that Greg prepared each morning. All of the other guests that we encountered were very pleasant, we also enjoyed the morning conversations over breakfast that helped prepare us for each days adventure along the many local costal trails. The Kilby House is located a minutes walk from everything in the main business district. Views of the early morning sunrise over the bay are breathtaking. We can’t wait to plan our next trip which will include another stay at The Kilby House.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Greg at the Kilby House. My wife and I spent 3 nights there during our 10 day vacation in New England. We enjoyed a whale-watching tour, an amazingly scenic hike along the rocky coastline and cliffs surrounding the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse, and the most delicious “sandwiches” (Basil Crab and the Bahn Mi slow-cooked pork loin) we’ve ever eaten at the newly opened Bocephus “sandwich shop”. To be sure, Eastport is no Bar Harbor - and that was fine with us. If you’re looking to relax and enjoy the unique natural environment of Coastal Maine - without the crowds - Eastport is the place. Hopefully, the Canadian border will also be open soon, which would add another easy day-excursion opportunity. The Kilby House itself turned out to be so much

Hard to believe that host Greg has been doing this for 30 years. We felt like we were his first and favorite guests. Beautiful Victorian home with period antiques and ambiance. We enjoyed a superb breakfast and intelligent conversation.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kilby House Inn. We had a quiet night’s rest and a delicious breakfast. Our room was really clean and well put together, filled with interesting pieces of furniture. In fact the common areas are also filled with interesting and exquisite furniture and woodwork. The Inn keeper is a fantastic gentleman who was very gracious and helpful in recommending places to visit and restaurants to go to eat. I will definitely bring my wife back to Eastport and will be staying here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at the Kilby House Inn and were grateful to Gregg for making us feel comfortable as well as safe during this summer of COVID-19. On two of our four nights there, we were the only guests. On the other two nights, there was one other couple. Gregg seated each couple at opposite sides of the dining room for breakfast. Everyone wore masks at appropriate times, and Gregg handled everything professionally. Breakfasts were beautiful and delicious. Decor throughout the inn is interesting and tasteful. Lots to read, and always lots to talk about with Gregg.

As part of the staycation mode this summer a friend and I made our way to Eastport and spent a delightful evening and morning at the Kilby House Inn. Greg is a wonderful host. The room was was impeccable...and the furnishings throughout the entire inn allowed an opportunity to wander through Maine as Maine once was. This is a must stop...and if you like a story or two Greg will add another dimension to what was an absolutely perfect getaway!

My husband and I had a blast staying the night at the Kilby House! Greg, the owner, is a hoot and a half, and makes French toast that's to die for! If you can, stay more than one night like we did! Highly recommend.
