This was a very nice/clean/quaint/safe place to stay. The check-in staff member was nice, courteous, sincere and professional when we checked in and made us aware of the food/facility services available. Note...the price ($129.99+taxes) was very fair/economical for the area but still a little out of our target trip budget range (i.e. $80-$100.00) - not a complaint...just a note for people like us...retired and from the deep south. I also want/need to note that we were in that area during their peak season (August) and that most of the chain motels/hotels were priced at $200.00 plus. If you're looking for a NCSRE (Nice-Clean-Safe-Reasonably Economical) place to stay in that area, then this could/would be the place for you. The views of the Cobbosseecontee Lake and marina just outside our backdoor were great!!! This is definitely the place for those that like boating and fishing and/or those that just want to relax and take in the beautiful Maine views. It's far enough from Augusta to give you that small town-community and "edge of rural" area feel but at the same time, close enough to give you the comfortable feeling that restaurants and shopping centers are just a few miles up the road. I would definitely recommend this motel/lodge to my friends and relatives that might ever make it up that way and would most likely try to stay there again if/when in the area. Best wishes to the owner/manager/staff and thanks again for a "neat" place to stay!

Beautiful and quaint little place, newly updated! Right on the water with beautiful views! Picnic tables, chairs, fire pit and grills to borrow. You can rent different types of boats or take out the cannon or paddle boat for free. Cute little store and friendly gracious hosts! Would definitely stay again if in the area! Only recommendation would be to put coffee makers in the rooms :)

We stayed at Lakeside Motel & Cabins March 2017 and have booked to stay again in March 2018. This is a older style motel but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Most of the beds are double beds and we ended up paying extra to get the adjoining room beside use. The one bathroom (shower only) was very small so paying extra for a full-size tub/shower and kitchenette was worth it. The view from the back is lovely and they connected us with someone to take us ice fishing. It was great! They supplied all the equipment and we caught 5 pike. The owners are very nice and treat you like family and live on site so are accessible for any issues. The cabins look nice but are not available during the winter months. Another plus is they allow pets.

Wife found this place on internet before we left home for vacation in Terceira Island Azores. We wanted something inexpensive and close to Boston airport. Room was nothing fancy, but clean. Went to eat supper in the tavern and several locals were there with guitars. Lot of talent came out that Friday night. Burgers are great, but Philly cheese steak sandwich was delicious. It's an older motel, but I'd stay here again.

I love this place, right on the water with easy access to great fishing. You can bring your own boat or rent one from them. My golden retriever had the best time!!!! When I had to cancel due to my dog death the owners were very nice. The cabins(where I stayed). Are well equipped and cozy.

Andy and Sheree go above and beyond. We recently held a two day fishing tournament there and it could not have been smoother. All our NH anglers want to come back! They made sure we had everything we needed, they helped with boat inspections so we could report the results to the state, and made multiple rounds through the facility at night to ensure everyone's boat was still charging. That is more than service.........it's just great people you want to spend more time with. The NH BASS Nation would love to return to Lakeside and Cobbossee in the near future!

I love staying at Lakeside every year and enjoying their great fishing and hospitality. Andy and Sheree are great hosts and make you feel like family. The powered boat slips and launch make it so convenient along with being able to get fuel if you need it.The cleaning staff always does a great job on their daily sweep. It will always be one of my favorites.

Wife and I have been going to Lakeside for 14 years, and we stay there 3 times a year and sometimes 4 for about a week at a time. In 2011, we were there and a bad storm came through, wind, rain and hail, one of the worst storms in our 72 years of life. We lost our car to a huge pine tree. The next morning, Andy and Sheree made sure we had a car for shopping or whatever travel we had to do. In October, we will be celebrating our 53rd anniversary, and you know where we will be, at Lakeside. We have always been very comfortable in any room or cottage...It's our home away from home....
