Beautifully situated at the coastline. The view is amazing all day long. There are many small spots where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. The room was clean and spacious. We had a room at Farmhouse A. The room had two chairs in front of the room, where we sat every day and enjoyed the view and the sun. The restaurant was also very good. We would recommend a meal there.

Nice pool, jacuzzi, ocean frontage, dock for swimming, low tide area for searching, "free" full breakfast, dinner available in beautiful dining area, and much more. If you book your stay in the Summer, your swimming and ocean excursions will be more comfortable. I enjoy being there for peace, quiet, and tranquility during the off-season when the rates become lowered. There are lots of rooms, cottages, suites, and cozy other lodgings at Ocean Point Inn, but they do book up fast sometimes. Look for online specials. During December, you may be able to get a really good discount for your stay in 2020. I plan to do the same, because I know that I want to go again. They have chairs and benches set up for guests to relax and watch the waves, birds, lobster boats, and all the other beautiful sights as it sometimes seems that time is standing still. They have cable, wifi, and other services for those who need or want them. I choose to leave my phone in my car, so that I can have it when I drive to Boothbay Harbor to mingle with the crowds when I search for fun things to buy. The food is good everywhere, including a lobster feast on a private island where you take a private boat. I will have to tell you about that in a future review.

My husband and I stayed here over Columbus Day weekend. We called them on Friday to see if we could get an early check-in. Our room hadn't been cleaned yet, but they took my phone number and called me back as soon as it was cleaned. Very good service. The hotel is located in an isolated area, right on Linekin Bay and several miles from Boothbay Harbor. The setting is beautiful, and we were able to park right outside our room, which was convenient. But our first impression of the room wasn't favorable. We stayed in the Farmhouse. There are a couple of steep steps up from the parking lot to the boardwalk that fronts the motel rooms, making it difficult to haul our heavy luggage to the room. The two chairs outside our room were covered in fly specks, as was the room's exterior window frame. The interior of the room was clean but rustic. This is an older property, and there is only so much they can do with the existing facilities. The bathroom had a tub/shower combination, which is one of the reasons we chose to stay here. But it was small, with no place to lay out one's toiletries. We wound up putting our toiletries on top of the dresser just outside the bathroom door. The room was equipped with a small table and two wicker chairs. There was a lamp on the table, but no place to plug it in. The room had a flat-screen TV, and a small refrigerator. No micro-wave or in-room safe. There was a screen on the front door, but it didn't have a hook so that it could be latched shut. The dresser had a small mirror above it. The bed was squeaky and lumpy and the mattress was hard. The baseboard heaters kept the room temperature comfortable. The room rate included standard wi-fi service. You can upgrade it for a fee, but we chose not to do that . The interior decor was plain, with an acoustic tile ceiling. The walls were painted cinder block to a height of about four feet, after which they were plastered. There were a couple of pictures hanging from the walls, as well as two empty picture hangers. One wonders if a previous guest might have absconded with some of the motel artwork. They have a pool and spa on site, but the pool wasn't heated during our visit. It was quiet here at night, and after adjusting to the lumpy mattress, we did find that we slept well and had a comfortable stay. The service was excellent. Everyone who worked here was friendly. A daily, hot breakfast buffet is included in the room price. They have a great bar and restaurant on site. We ate there every night during our stay and enjoyed all of our meals. The next closest restaurant is about 1.5 miles away down a winding, narrow road. It gets good reviews, but we didn't see a need to go elsewhere for dinner. Bottom-line: If you are looking for a quiet get-away with excellent food and service, this resort is a good choice. There are adirondack chairs provided along the coastline where guests can relax and take in the gorgeous sunsets. However, if we were to come to this area again, we'd probably look for accommodations in Boothbay Harbor, so that we could walk to attractions and enjoy a variety of dining options during our stay.

My husband and I planned a vacation driving up the coast of Maine from Boston to Bar Harbor and we found this wonderful place. We stayed here one night on our way back to Boston to catch our flight back to Illinois. Dinner was excellent at the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was wonderful! I would definitely recommend! We both loved it!
