This was our second visit. It was wonderful and relaxing. Breakfast was a treat as were the other travelers we met. Our room (#3) was comfortable and spotless. Beautifully decorated. Just minutes from Boothbay Harbor. Susan and Steve do a great job making their guests comfortable (and well fed).

This was our 3rd visit to the Inn. I can't say enough good things about it. Susan & Steve are the consummate hosts. It is a beautiful spot overlooking the water - and there is a great porch to sit on and enjoy the view and relax. Also, the rooms are beautiful and the beds very comfortable. A decadent gourmet... Our first - but not last - visit to this magnificent hideaway in coastal Maine. Friendly and helpful reservations. Welcoming arrival. Clean and comfortable room. Captivating view. Incredible breakfast. Susan and Steve are gracious hosts.

This is a beautiful home and the owners were very friendly and attentive. Tremendous attention to detail at every turn. Tea and cookies in the afternoon was delightful and the breakfast was delicious. The only (small) issue was my husband had a bit of difficulty getting up the stairs into the inn, due to his using a walker or cane.... More

Just enjoyed another wonderful long weekend at the Five Gables Inn in East Boothbay Maine. Very relaxing and comfortable. The inn owners Susan and Steve go out of their way to make everyone comfortable and the breakfasts are amazing ! Love spending late afternoons on the deck overlooking the bay. Quiet and beautiful location close enough to all the action... More

As a B&B lover, this is one of the best: beautiful property (inside and out) on a usually quiet dead end, overlooking the bay. The rooms are clean with adequate space and storage, charmingly decorated, private bathrooms. The hosts are welcoming and very helpful with suggestions and directions. Very large front porch for reading, relaxing, and enjoying the view. A... More

Although we didn't stay here, we visited after having dinner nearby and canvassed several guests on the porch about the rooms and service etc. All said they were very impressed. They said breakfasts we delicious and the rooms were quiet. The beach was across the street but it is a very quiet road.

My brother found this little gem for our family. It is out of the noise and traffic of Boothbay Harbor, but close enough to everything I would want! Susan and Steve are phenominal hosts. They provide amazing attention to detail and are available for all their guests. The breakfasts are "to die for!" Susan prepares amazing dishes and baked goods... More

This has been the best bed and breakfast I have ever been to. Starting with the people Susan and Steve are wonderful people. Susan wakes up at 5:00 to make the most delicious breakfast you have ever had. The breakfast usually consists of a quiche of the day, with creative and always fresh local ingredients, a starch or bread side... More

This bed and breakfast inn is certainly an example of the reason I choose B&B for vacation. It's clean, charming and personalized.Outstanding hospitality, comfortable beds, homemade luscious breakfasts especially the raw oatmeal. When in Boothbay harbor region we will definable stay here again.
