We stayed for four nights as we visited family members in the area. The Brewster Inn was like a home away from home. Very quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was great and just the right amount to eat. Mark and Tina are a fun couple. We enjoyed our interactions with them. The garden is beautiful and nice to walk through in the morning. The Inn is within walking distance of downtown Dexter, which is a wonderful little town. The nearby lake is beautiful as well. The fees for staying at the Inn are reasonable and totally worth it. I highly recommend staying there!
We stayed as a family of 3 in the Hatherley the bed was so comfy ! The Brewster is extremely welcoming when you walk in with a basket of books for the kids to look through & read, decor and history all around you, not to mention the breakfast in the morning is amazing ( the sausage casserole is absolutely fabulous) and the innkeepers are most kind! When we stay in October we will be in the Clifton & we can’t wait …highly recommend is an understatement !!!
We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Brewster Inn in Dexter, Maine. The home itself is beautiful. It was the home of a previous mayor of Dexter. It also has a history of hostessing many past historians. While the house itself has been beautifully restored to its original glory, so too are the grounds. The hosts, Mark and Tina, were pleasant and couldn’t have made the visit any better. The breakfasts were scrumptious. The rooms are spacious and pleasant with high quality linens. We will definitely be returning to the Brewster Inn.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Brewster Inn. As far as the inn itself goes, it was clean, decorated, cozy and comfortable. The hosts cooked delicious breakfast each morning and had many options for enhancements and drinks to purchase. As far as COVID goes, the hosts wore masks 24/7, distanced us from other guests at breakfast and thoroughly cleaned the inn. Instructions for check-in were easy to follow and the hosts had great recommendations for places to check out. We can’t recommend The Brewster Inn enough!
Where to even start? The Brewster Inn is beautiful and well-maintained - there is no doubt that owners Mark and Tina love their home and truly enjoy sharing it with others. The living room you're greeted in is comfortable and welcoming. We immediately felt relaxed and at home (minus the responsibilities of home - which is exactly what we hoped for!). The dining room has a view of the lovely flower gardens behind the inn (we stayed at the end of June) and breakfast each morning was delicious! Seriously. We'd go back just for breakfast. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite. It was perfect for a couple of introverts celebrating their 21st anniversary. A comfy bed and sitting area surrounded by gorgeous wood paneling and walls of shelves filled with books - we couldn't have asked for more. We only stayed a couple days so I didn't have time to finish the book I started reading, which just means we HAVE to go back. Seriously. We'd go back just for the books. The air jet tub was a wonderful way to wind down and decompress at the end of the day. Followed, of course, by curling up in snuggly robes and chilling out before bed. The only thing that could have made that better was curling up in front of the warm fireplace...but it was 80 degrees outside, so we'll have to return in the winter months. The air jet tub would feel amazing after a chilly day. Seriously. We'd go back just for the tub. But none of that would be possible without Mark and Tina who are, without a doubt, two of the most delightful people we've ever met. From craft beer to tattoos, we had plenty of shared interests to chat about. I've now got a new tattoo shop to look into, and my husband has learned of the mecca of beer stores which we'll be visiting soon. ;) I can only imagine the recommendations we could have come home with had we a few more days to spend with them. Seriously. We'd go back just to chat with Mark and Tina. In conclusion, if you are considering a stay at the Brewster Inn, stop thinking about it and (in the words of the great Shia Lebouf) "jjjuuusssttt DO it." Seriously.…
Wow, what can I say other than wow. The hosts are magnificent, kind, and more than willing to share the history of their lovely home. All common areas are kept spotless, warm, and so incredibly inviting. The rooms are adorable, we stayed in the sea themed room, the bed was more than comfortable and the room was so clean upon our arrival and when they came into clean they made sure the high level standard was continued. I highly recommend this beautiful old home turned Inn to anyone. There is things to do close by, you may have to ask the hosts as you can't always find them online.
Mark and Tina were so nice to chat with, and very accommodating. Everything was sparkling clean, and the breakfasts were wonderful and generous. Bed was comfortable, and we controlled the temperature of the room.
Mark and Tina’s lovely Inn, provides a wonderful Maine experience. We’ve stayed several times, on our way to enjoy the pleasures of the Appalachian Mountain Club wilderness area. The Inn is historic, beautifully appointed, (not the usual kitsch of many inns), and the innkeepers gracious and hospitable. They take the time to ensure that you have what you need during your stay. Most importantly, the Brewster Inn felt SAFE AND CLEAN during Covid times, even arranging alternate breakfast times so that guests were not crowded together. Can’t wait for our next stay at the Brewster Inn.
My stay at the Brewster in was amazing the place is beautiful and cozy mark and Tina are great supper friendly and accommodating and the breakfast they serve is excellent I would definitely stay again with out a doubt and I highly recommend
We had an absolutely blissful weekend staying at The Brewster. The inn is gorgeous and Mark and Tina are wonderful. Our room was so comfortable it was hard to leave! Top to bottom, every detail was thought out. The tub in the honeymoon suite alone has guaranteed many more return trips!
