My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights late October to early November. The cabin is rustic and has a beautiful view on the pond. Teresa and Bill are fantastic hosts and respond quickly to anything you need. Bill built a fire for us the first night. We managed to get one going the second night but had difficulty the other nights. He came over and started it for us all the other nights. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The whole setting is so peaceful and gorgeous. I would highly recommend Robinson’s cottages and look forward to going back next fall.
We were only passing through, and Robinson's had a cabin open for a single night. The cabins were private and the view from the screened porch overlooking the river was just wonderful. Teresa and Bill were just great hosts! Highly recommended.
We camped for the weekend at the tent site and it could not have been any better. Lovely spot, plenty of space and fit our huge tent, had everything we needed. You are right between the river and the pond and may use the canoes and kayaks to explore both, which is really what made our weekend so much fun. We woke up each morning listening to a pileated woodpecker which was really cool, even got to see him flying over us. There is a fire pit with a grate you can put over top to cook on and plenty of firewood. Swimming and fishing were great, the people were nice, and everywhere you look is beautiful.
Just spent the weekend in cabin #1 and loved, loved, loved it!! The screened in porch overlooking the river was probably the best part and where we hung out the most. It was super hot when we arrived but all the windows had been opened before we arrived which we really appreciated, but even with the heat the porch was perfect. Had a fire in the fireplace Saturday night - how could you not - and it was just lovely. It really did look like the pictures which is always a pleasant surprise. Everything was very comfortable and clean and had everything you needed, another pleasant surprise! Went kayaking and swimming, really appreciated having the use of the kayak and canoes. You could really tell that cabin had been used and loved! Thanks so much, we'll be back!!
This place was tranquility perfected. We stayed in cabin #6 and I spent the entire time on the screened in porch, breathing the fresh air, listening to the river and the birds, and taking in the beautiful scenery surrounding us. The cabin is rustic and charming. We also took one of the property’s canoes out for a paddle on the pond and saw a frog and four turtles! I really loved it there and my only regret was that they were so booked up, we couldn’t stay longer.
We have been coming here for serveral years and will always return. The setting is wonderful and all of the cottages are unique and Remington me of ones I went to with my family in the North Woods. They are simple and comfortable with all that you need for a restful stay. If you have spent your entire life in the city Robinsons will be a change. The. Cabins all date from the 1930s to the 1950s. Cabins 1,3,4,5 and more centrally located. Cabins 6 and 2 are more remote. All cabins have a view of the river or the pond and all have wonderful porches for relaxation. The owners, Theresa and Bill Robinson are wonderful and very helpful.
Bill and Theresa are great, 4 generation run set of cottages for a simple, clean stay. Bill is an excellent guide, although we caught nothing, we learned a lot and in a couple weeks........ we would be catching small mouth. Will be back ...Tod was a great ME Guide as well......... I will be back
Recently stayed here and we all really loved it. Cottage was homey and comfortable. Everything you need including towels and dishes. We really enjoyed the canoe trip! We were lucky with 4 beautiful days of weather. Only thing I would suggest is maybe take out a few bushes in the front so we could see the water a little better. This place is so peaceful and beautiful. Can't wait to go back next year!
Stayed in Cottage #3 over the Memorial Day Weekend. Bill and Teresa went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay more than we had hoped for. Bill is a Maine guide with a wealth of knowledge about local fishing and can point you in the right direction for anything you want or need while you're in the area. The cottages are vintage and have been maintained extremely well. Everything you need is supplied for cooking and relaxing without ever having to leave the property if you don't want to. Canoes and a paddle boat are provided at no charge. Pets are welcome at no extra charge! The price is reasonable. Definitely worth the trip Down-east to visit this little gem.
due to weather and vacation plans I really wished we would have stayed longer than an overnight. West Quoddy Light house was nearby and the reason for staying here. Cabins were fully equipped and nice remote setting! Found out canoes and kayaks were avail free to use! NO TV, NO Cell service, so if you need this I suggest you find something else. Beds comfortable and plenty of space for everyone! Loved the fireplace, and the quiet solitude.
