Maine Lakeside Cabins is amazing! We had our wedding here and worked with Holly Towle throughout the entire planning process. We were working with a fairly strict budget and instead of telling us no she told us how we could make it work. She was with us every step of the way. Once wedding weekend arrived it became just that - a weekend filled with family and friends. Friday our guests arrived and stayed in cabins on site, and we had a small welcome reception with a bon fire, lawn games, and of course their full stocked bar. Saturday our guests spent the day taking advantage of the amenities while we got ready for the wedding, which was coordinated perfectly! We got to end the weekend with a casual farewell brunch before everyone hit the road. The onsite staff is amazing and very accommodating. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic outdoor Maine wedding!

We were guests of a wedding party during peak foliage season and the grounds of this property were ablaze in fall colors. It was really beautiful. The cabin we stayed in was large with two bedrooms with queen sized beds and a loft with two single beds and two twin beds. The kitchen is fully outfitted with utensils and appliances but there were no basic foodstuffs like like coffee like you might find in most other vacation lodging. Not really a big deal, it was an easy walk to the lodge for the continental breakfast, but if you want a cup of coffee in your pajamas before facing other humans, plan ahead :) Another noticeable missing item was soap and shampoo for the shower. Again, not critical and perhaps to be had at the lodge, but we didn't discover it wasn't there until the morning when we were showering. One additional thing that prevents me from giving this a five star rating was that the cabin wasn't super clean. Lots of bugs on the window sills and cobwebs in the picture windows that were super obvious from the loft. I realize it's Maine and it's the woods, but if any of the management read this review, being a bit more thorough with the cleaning would let the property shine. The last thing to note is that some of the cabins back up to the busy highway. There is a screen of trees so it isn't like you are looking right at it, but the road is frequented by large trucks and the sound of them passing both day and night is noticeable. If you demand utter solitude for your vacation to this area, keep this in mind when booking. There are cabins not so close to the road if this is important to you. The area is great to access the outdoors. We drove over to Moxie Falls on our way home and it is a beautiful and easy hike. This facility rents a variety of seasonally appropriate outdoor gear and vehicles too if that is what you're looking for.

I cannot recommend Maine Lakeside Cabins enough. We had our wedding reception there 7/27/19. Holly and all of the staff are very friendly, approachable, responsive, and accommodating. Any and every question or concern that came up was immediately responded to.  I planned the wedding 4 hours away and the responsiveness and information I received was always prompt. The staff went above and beyond, for instance, when I couldn’t reach one of the churches in a nearby town by telephone Holly offered to go down there personally. The cabins are well furnished and beautiful. The lake is great. There is easy access to swim, kayak, canoe, and Jet Ski. I could not be happier about our wedding weekend. We wanted to have a space that we could get all of our family and friends together for a full weekend so we could visit each other on more than just the wedding day. This set up is perfect for this as we could easily walk to all of the cabins and there are so many places to get together and visit including the Lodge, Barn, lakefront, fire pit, and cabins. Everyone had a wonderful time and the wedding was a blast. Our guests included ages ranging from toddlers to grandmas and everyone had activities they could do and enjoyed themselves. A lot of people brought their dogs for the weekend. Many of us are already planning a trip back. Seriously, book your wedding, family reunion, or vacation weekend here, you won’t regret it! I stayed here for a wedding, the "cabins" are actually beautiful homes craftsmanship is amazing. Cabin I stayed in had 3 BR's total of 5 beds and a futon plenty of room for 6 people. It is a little pricey but for a party of 6 it's very reasonable. Great spot for a destination wedding in the fall, peak foliage!

We had our wedding here- it was absolutely amazing. There was no request too big or detail too small for them to accommodate. The food was delicious and the venue was pristine. The cabins were amazing- we had everything we needed to relax all weekend. Even on the chilly fall nights the cabins were nice and cozy. We can’t wait to go back!
