We had been looking forward to sitting by our campfire at night and enjoying the downtime. But we were disappointed upon arriving at our campsite to see how small and how un-private it was. The campsites are literally on top of each other and so you have to hope to have very quiet and pleasant neighbors. We were lucky in... More

We made a reservation by phone with Roberta in February 2016 for the month of June 2016. Like most RV campers we had a few simple requests: 50 AMP electric, sewer hook-up, water and a view of the southern sky for our DishTV system. Upon arrival we were advised they have no sewer at all, very few 50 AMP sites,... More

We just got back from a two night stay at Dixon's. I had found it on the website and had read the other reviews. True to form. Clean, quiet, affordable, great amenities and location. We had site #23 which was shady all day, right next to a little pond. Very nice spot. Spent some time at both Ogunquit & York....make... More

Took camper up to see the Lighthouse at Cape Neddick. Went after Labor Day to miss the crowds. Had the pool to oursleves. Showers need a quarter but I quit before the hot water did. Sinks are on the outside of the building. Since we were off season the rate was slightly lower. Must have $5 cash for gate. Right... More

We stayed 2 nights in a Yurt- very cool! However, it was right across the trail from the bathrooms so there was a lot of foot traffic, and vehicles going by. First morning happened to be a Monday and apparently that's garbage day so there was a giant garbage truck emptying the dumpster which happened to be next to the... More

This was a great campground, we got a wooded tent site that was a short walk from the restrooms and showers. Spacious site and very quiet. The showers are 25 cents for 5 minutes but that's all you'll probably need. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. This campsite is also close to York beach and Ogonquit beach.

Right off of route US1 that traverses the beautiful coast of Maine, Dixon is situated in Cape Neddick. It is close to all the areas main attractions like the beach, beach towns of Ogunquit and York, and just a short drive away from harbor city of Portland and Kennebunkport/Kennebunk. The campsite is small, ready for RV's, trailers and tent camping.... More

We stayed 4 night at Dixon's and loved it. Everyone was very respectful. The camp grounds very well maintained. The bathrooms and shower could use some updating but they were very clean. The only downside was the WiFi. Its Only available at the office and it SUCKED! I was told they are working on it to have it all over... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights at the Dixon Campground. The best tent sites I would recommend for more privacy, are 9 thru 11. We stayed at site 11 and it was wonderful! a lot of space, and shelter from the tree canopy, the bathrooms are very close by. The bathrooms are very well taken care of. The... More
