Can see the sunrise within the room. The cliff near the resort is a pleasant walk. Pleasant hiking route within the place, although this is a bit short. Can go jogging outside the place, surrounding neighborhood is wonderful. Wonderful resort in beautiful place.
The property was very nice and the Tiller Restaurant was lovely. The only negative was that our room's air conditioning unit was very loud when it turned off and on...loud to the point that it disrupted sleep.
I have stayed with my family at the cliff house in past years. Has always been a 10/10 in every way but on this trip there was a few issues and flaws. (my tv's were not working but that was fine since the real beauty is the view outside). Though we enjoyed the hot tubs, it would of been nice to know that the outdoor pools were not open yet since the weather outside was gorgeous. Also there was no valet service which was a bit frustrating due to it raining 2 of the times we parked the car. My two biggest issues on this stay were: 1-My wife and I travel with a lot of jewelry and watches. When we leave the property we put them in the safe but in this case the safe you can pick up and walk away with, it is not bolted to anything it just sits in a shelf so rather than take a chance we took everything with us when leaving the room. (I spoke with the front desk about this but nothing was done) 2-With the prices charged for the property which is a premium due to it being a high end property I am surprised there is no room cleaning during the stay, even if requested. A wet towel was accidentally placed on the bed so asked if they can change the sheets and was told they are not doing this. I was told they will put in a request but no one cleaned the room and changed them so when we got back late that night from dinner we had t place a few dry towels on it in order to sleep. Overall it is a gorgeous property and great staff, just a few kinks to work out. …
Our stay at the Cliff House was wonderful. I think the summer-like weather was a bonus as we could enjoy outdoor amenities thoroughly so it really felt like we were far from home. The staff was friendly and helpful and so nice. It was a great weekend and we will certainly be back.
The Cliff House is a beautiful experience. Relaxing and peaceful. The setting and scenery are outstanding. The staff are most accommodating and helpful. I would highly recommend the Cliff House to anyone looking for a beautiful Maine experience!
This was our first time staying here but hopefully not our last. Cliff House is beautiful, well maintained and the staff is wonderful. Please treat yourself to a stay at this lovely property. You won’t be disappointed.
Cliff House has a spectacular setting. The room was very comfortable with gas fireplace. All staff were very friendly. The food at the Tiller House though needs improvement. Very disappointed. Breakfast not the same as we had previously, slow service at breakfast, cold lobster chowder at dinner. Entrees nothing special for the price. Overcooked fried clams at The Lobster Shack. Food quality needs to be revisited and revamped.
While we appreciated the view and the service (most of the time), we cleaned our own room so that they could "respect the environment", and feel they could've been more forthcoming with the credit card charging.
From the moment you walk in the views are breathtaking. We were treated special by all we came in contact with. Live music , fire pit , nature walk and hot tub overlooking the ocean.Only a 10 min drive to Perkins Cove to walk the cliff walk called the Marginal Way. The balcony in our room was great to relax and have breakfast in. I can’t say enough of how wonderful our visit was .
We spent this past weekend at the Cliff House. Our room was exceptional in the Ledges, the food was delicious. All staff was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this resort. The weekend was perfect!
