Loved this hotel. I want to live here. The location was great. We got a room with a view of the water. Had 2 balconies. Could hear the “waterfall” to the left. The bed was great. Loved the fireplace as it was a tad chilly when we went. The bathroom was also great, especially liked the shower head, and the towels were the softest towels I’ve ever had. Literally everything was just top notch. Had complimentary breakfast (served buffet style) and it was perfect for what I’d want in the mornings. Had hard boiled eggs and a quiche offering, yoghurt w/granola and lots of fresh fruit offerings. As well as bagels, scones and muffins. I’d be happy with all those options everyday. Also note, we booked through hotels.com, but later found out if you book directly through the hotel’s site, the ($15) parking is free. Overall we just really loved this hotel and the vintage vibe and will be hard pressed to find a better hotel (and I’m picky about hotels, especially bathrooms), but I want to stay here again, and I want it to be available in every city/town I ever travel to (guess that means we have to come back to Camden for now).…
We could only stay one night, but the BV16 was wonderful! Attention to detail, stylish, wonderful customer service and immaculate. The breakfast bar was delicious and the rooftop bar was a delight. You could not ask for a better location. Splurge for a balcony room.
Our 3-gen overnight getaway for Mother’s Day was as fabulous as hoped for at 16 Bay View. Every staff member, from reception to Vintage Room bartender to room service, was fantastically considerate and accommodating. Our room and all amenities were luxurious and thoughtful. I’ll definitely hope to return!
16 Bay View has so many small luxuries to offer. My room had a small table, a fireplace, balcony and a bathroom to die for. Large soaking tub, separate shower and heated floors. A single serve coffee machine, microwave and fridge. Located on the quiet part of Camden's main shopping street...16 Bay View is the perfect spot to stay by allowing you to walk almost everywhere. Shops, dining and harbor activities. The hotel's small lounge area serves breakfast in the morning and cocktails with a small plates menu in the late afternoon. Above all else, the staff is what makes the hotel so special. They are thoughtful, friendly and attentive. Quick to lean a hand whenever needed and knowledgeable about the different things to do in the Mid-Coast area.
This boutique hotel was just big enough to be anonymous but so personal they text and connect with you to answer any questions for the duration of your stay. They will even park your car if there are no open spots when you arrive. Nice continental breakfast - exceptional quiche and muffins. Small shops right outside your door. Bonus, the free standing tub which filled fast and didn’t run out of hot water - a real treat.
Perfect location, ideal amenities, great staff. Nice options for cocktails and breakfast. Very high quality all around. Parking is very convenient as is location. Rooms are quiet, nicely appointed, fireplace and jacuzzi.
We decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Maine, with the first two days in Camden. 16 Bay View did not disappoint. The hotel was lovely—lots of exposed brick, comfy lobby with sofas and a fireplace, and oh my goodness the cookies! Homemade chocolate chip cookies available all day alongside coffee and tea choices as well as fruity water. The complimentary breakfast each morning was more than enough—quiche, fruit, yogurt with toppings, scones, and bagels along with juices, teas, and coffee. Our room was beautiful—3rd floor king with water views. It was cold and damp while we were there and the gas fireplace in the room was perfect. The bathroom has a huge shower, a separate huge tub, and the floor is heated! We would definitely recommend 16 Bay View to anyone wanting a quiet getaway with a luxurious feel.…
The building is lovely, and the rooms are spacious, with a great view. We were able to bring our doggies, and the slender young man, on the afternoon shift, was accessible and helpful. But… We arrived at the check in time, as did two people right after us. The woman at the desk was on the phone taking a reservation. In the nearly 10 minutes we waited to check in, she did not once acknowledge any of the 4 people waiting. When she did become available, her attitude did not feel particularly welcoming. One of our keys didn’t work. The room had a terrible odor. The carpet was stained. The mattress sagged on both sides. When we tried to call the front desk, we were greeted by a busy signal, for quite some time. None of this (but for the room odor) would have been such a big deal if we had not spent $300 plus $50 for the doggies.…
Excellent hotel with incredible bathrooms and amazing bar. Bathroom looked like it should be in a $1,000,000 home. Bed was cozy and the rooms were very clean. Great value for comparable rooms around the area. Would stay again In a second. Close to things around town.
