I booked an ocean view room and was surprised that my balcony directly faced a parking lot and lamp post with a peakaboo view of the bay. The room itself was beautiful and bedding was superb. I also had great service from the front desk staff. That said, since my room was directly underneath the rooftop bar (3rd floor) I could hear stomping all night and unfortunately early in the morning (assume staff was cleaning up?). Parking is tricky - there are not enough spots for all the rooms so get to the hotel early to secure one. The rooftop bar itself has a lovely with with so-so drinks and food.

"Dear Jenni W, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay with us. Firstly, let me say that I am very happy that you enjoyed the bedding! It's so soft and comfy! Secondly, we pride ourselves in delivering excellent sincere customer service and I am thrilled to learn that that's exactly what you received from our front desk staff. I am truly sorry that you did not enjoy your view form your room. As the hotel is set back from the Harbor with the Public Landing parking lot between us and the harbor, I can understand your mention of the parking lot being visible from your balcony's perspective. With regards to parking, we agree that it can be challenging depending on the time of day, but our front desk staff and valet are always willing to help secure a spot for you. I do hope that you return to us soon, I would love for you to have a much more positive experience." Most appreciated, Ashley Watts Guest Services Manager Bay View Collection

Hotel's Favorite
My Husband and I decided to go to 16 Bayview for Christmas Eve. Being 2020 and not being able to gather with family we decided to get away. I found 16 Bayview through a coworker and was so happy that I did. I booked the Ocean View King Guest room through the hotel's website. The website is easy to use and informative. This is a dog friendly room. Susan at the front desk was so kind, she engaged us in great conversation and got us all set up and checked in. The room was just lovely with expensive finishes and plenty of amenities. They even had a dog bed complete with bowls, treats and bottled water for our Dachshund! The room has a fridge, Keurig, microwave etc all ticked away in a closet so it is out of view. The bathroom was lovely with a huge soaking tub that boasted tiny jets, a huge luxurious shower, double sinks and heated floors! The room was just the right size and the bed was very cozy. Cameron at night was so incredibly kind and attentive, he brought us a HDMI cable (just a side note - they have a system connected to their television that allows for HDMI, bluetooth, etc hookups so you can bring a computer and watch what you want from there. Bring a HDMI cable) and extra towels at the start of the evening. We ordered dinner in our room because we didn't want to leave. They had a lovely Chinese menu made in house and it was delicious! We ordered cocktails from the bar and they brought them right to our room. We also ordered breakfast and that was perfect as well! The quality of the food and drinks really stood out. Along with the kindness and first class service from the staff. The building itself is truly stunning with beautiful unique architecture inside and out. We did not drink or eat at the bar but we peeked inside and it was (as you could guess) absolutely lovely. The bottom line is, if you are staying in Camden this place is really worth a stay, we will definitely be returning! 5 stars.

Dear PTree034, Wow, you've been crowned our new favorite reviewer! What an incredibly thoughtful and detailed description of your fantastic experience from the moment you decided to make your reservation! A great amount of effort goes into creating a clean and comfortable stay for our guests once they've arrived, but we believe there should be an equal focus on the pre- and post- stay guest experience as well as how we may best showcase our region as a whole to our wonderful visitors. So we are very glad to hear that you found the booking process on our modern website to be intuitive, the dining options, including our cozy lounge Vintage Room, to be delicious, and the maybe not-as-recognized tech features found in each and every room at 16 Bay View such as the MediaHubs for all your entertainment needs! It was an absolute pleasure hosting you in our home in leu of the unfortunate circumstances you mention of not being able to gather with loved ones. So again I thank you for choosing us as your getaway destination, and thank you for sharing these kind words of your experience with the rest of the world! Sincerely, Cameron Butler Guest Services Manager

We got a room with a balcony of the back of the hotel. The tub with bubbles was absolutely fabulous, the bed was comfortable and clean, the fireplace was beautiful and worked perfectly, everyone was very very nice. It was expensive at 326 a night. The only thing is there are pizza restaurants around that burn firewood. All of my clothes my hair and everything smelled like firewood smoke for a week !

Dear ayn d, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We are so glad that you enjoyed some of the many amenities we offer at our hotel, such as our luxurious tubs, fireplaces, and our top of the line bedding. We take great pride in providing special and positively memorable service in all departments, so thank you for recognizing that! We have several award-winning restaurants within close, convenient proximity for our guests. Some of these restaurants do have wood burning ovens for optimum flavor. We do apologize that the odors had permeated your clothing during your stay. Despite this, we hope you would still consider a return visit as we would love to welcome you back in the future! Sincerely, Kade Nash Guest Services Manager

Good Day securaphong, I am saddened to read your review and I would really like to learn more regarding your stay if you could contact me. We would love to have learned of anything during your time here so that we could have had the opportunity to correct and make things comfortable. Items you mention here are certainly not what we are known for and our team is very sorry and embarrassed as we all take great pride in welcoming and taking care of all our guests. Our lobby bar and eatery, Vintage Room is currently on it's off-season schedule, open Wednesday through Saturday. Our rooftop bar The View is operational only during the summer months of June 1 through October 1st. This information is highlighted on our website and social media so as to be as informative as possible to arriving guests. Again, my apologies for your recent stay. I really do hope you reach out to me so that we can review this further because every guest's stay matters, and I want to ensure comfort and positive experiences as does our entire team. Sincerely, General Manager Erick Anderson

This is a top notch hotel. Extremely clean, well put together and tons of charm. Fire place in the room, and the balcony overlooking the water is key. Parking can be tricky, but it’s worth the location and customer service. We also loved the heated bathroom floor.
