We spent 2 nights with Bill in September 2014. We enjoyed our stay very much. There is ample parking and a 10 min max walk into the main centre. Bill was full of information, but not overwhelming, on the locality to help us enjoy our limited time. We didn't need to visit an info centre as he had great ideas...

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Castleview by the Sea in Camden Maine in July 2014. This is a very small B & B with only 3 rooms. Our room was quite large (the Gasp room) with an amazing view of the ocean and a castle. The room was very comfortable. Bill, the owner, was the perfect host....

My wife and I enjoyed this little bed & breakfast place very much. We found the room spacious and comfortable. From the porch you have, weather permitting, a view of the ocean. In the evening we walked into Camden downtown for dinner in about ten minutes. While we enjoyed the accommodation, the host, Bill, makes this a place worth staying...

We enjoyed our three night stay at Castleview. Bill Butler was an excellent host. He provided lots of good information that helped us during our first visit to Camden and everything was clean. Hiking, shopping, eating and a boat tour will be remembered for years to come. Check out his website for more information. http://www.castleviewinn.com/

We just got home from our stay at the Castleview B&B and were sorry that we couldn't stay more than two nights. If you like historical buildings, you'll like this place. The inn is in an old house built in the 1850's and has old elements which are part of its charm, i.e. original floor boards, old fireplaces, wooden roof...

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay (9/8/12) at Castleview. Even enjoyed waking up before 6 to the beautiful blue Maine sky and the dark blue water of the Camden harbor (our room was not a blackout room). But, the true charm and enjoyment of the B&B is getting to know Bill, the innkeeper. Helpful, but not intrusive....

Our host Bill, was a major part of our great time as he helped us on where to go, eat and do. He was SPOT on with everything. We will be back ! Visit Castleview, and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend with Bill as our host. He was very friendly, accommodating and able to offer good advice regarding activities in the area. His breakfasts were delicious and a great start to our daily biking adventures. The icing on the cake was the beautiful view of Penobscot Bay we were able to enjoy from our room.

In our view, spending a few days in a B&B (Bed and Breakfast) style inn should be like staying in the home of a good friend. The homes of friends are not expected to be hotels. Bill Butler's “Castleview by the Sea” is a B & B that is a home in the very best sense of the word and...

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Upon our arrival which was 5:30 it took several rings of the bell and still no answer from Bill the owner. We finally called his phone number to get him to come to the door. There was a television on inside which was quite loud so perhaps that was interfering...

The entrance to our Inn has a large sign next to the huge brass ship bell that says "please ring loudly for innkeeper. To the right of that is a small rusted out old buzzer that is not intended to be used which it;s appearance suggests. We are doing daily chores all over the Inn and do not have the luxury...

Restored 1856 cape with charm galore. Fireplaces and wide pumpkin pines floors. Supurb breakfasts to remember served in our farm kitchen and on our pleasant deck under the awning.
