We had two nights in the Watney room. The room was large and had a nice balcony. The first night we were sorry to see no firepit going on, as it was very cool out. ...the second night there was rain. We were disappointed that we still had to eat breakfast in our room, even though Maine dropped the mask mandate. We never got to see the inside of the main house, since we were in the carriage house. Our next night in Bar Harbor B & B was all about breakfast in the dining area, wine and cheese get together, and beautiful sitting rooms...so The Hawthorn was somewhat disappointing, although we understand it was their choice on how to run their B & B. The location was good for walking to the restaurants and shops. I am sure when the covid scare is gone, that the visit here will be better.

Property's Favorite Review
We had planned to visit in May, but because of Covid postponed until June. Ted and Lisa were extremely prepared for visitors during this unusual time. They followed all the requirements to keep everyone safe. The room, as usual, was inviting. The breakfast each day was delicious. We were served on our patio promptly as requested. Stayed an extra day as we were so comfortable and welcome. Looking forward to another visit next year.

It was disappointing to us, that we had to postpone your celebration to June. But It was wonderful to see you both; happy, healthy and your husband's wonderful sense of humor still in tact! So glad that even with all of the changes for the current environment that you still felt comfortable and welcome! We look forward to next year's celebration. Take care.

We stayed three nights at this lovely location close to Main Street. Our suite “Watney” was wonderfully furnished with a ground floor balcony looking over the back lawn with views of the harbor. The breakfasts were superior presentations of delicious hand crafted food. The hospitality provided by Lisa and Ted made us feel welcomed and their attention to detail was impeccable. Thanks to our hosts for such a memorable experience at the Hawthorn.

Just two gals taking a road trip, and the Hawthorne Inn was a dream. After an evening in Camden, we stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and soaked our worries away with the dreamy complementary bath grains. The room had a perfect view of the harbor. In the morning we were served Brie & salmon quesadillas with gorgeous yogurt parfaits. Lisa and Ted were so wonderful. We would absolutely recommend the Hawthorne Inn!!
