This was a wonderful experience in Maine. We had visited New York, Boston, Bar Harbour and the Hartstone Inn exceeded all our expectations. We were given a suite, full kitchen, sitting room, walk in wardrobe, study/office, patio. That was more than we expected. No problem with parking. The staff were superb. Breakfast was a treat. The location ideal. This was a... More

This review is based solely on customer service. We made reservations at the Inn on July 15th for a 3 night stay to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Much to our dismay we realized those dates were not going to work for us. On July 16th we called the Inn to cancel our reservation with every intent to rebook. We... More

Hello Dudly, I am sorry for your disappointment with our cancellation policy. When we take reservations on the phone, we clearly outline our policy upfront. The $20 cancellation fee covers the fees that our credit card processing company charges us for taking the deposit for your room, and then another fee associated with refunding the deposit. The cancellation fee has... More

We have been traveling to Camden frequently the past 12 years. We always stay at the Hartstone! The rooms are lovely, each unique - we have had fun staying in different rooms over the years. Our recent favorite is the Arbor Room. Breakfast is 10x better than any B&B we have previously visited. And an added delight is the amazing... More

We were given a gift certificate package for a weekend here and were lucky that the April weekend we arrived was sunny and not too chilly. Friendly welcome and assistance with our luggage. The location is perfect for walking to the local shops and restaurants. The ramp to the parking lot behind the inn is short and rather steep, so... More

This is a top notch, beautiful inn. We have stayed in many B& B's through the years, and this ranks at the TOP in quality. Each room is beautifully decorated with all the extra touches! The private BATHROOM WAS PRISTINE! No sign of a need for renovation. We stayed in a small room, in a comfortable feather bed. Luxury! Don't... More

We had dinner here and felt welcome. The moment we arrived the hostess was cheerful and very engaging. The server was equally friendly and made you feel right at home. She offered to let us try a sample of the wines if we were not sure what we wanted. Gave us both a generous pour and paced the meal to... More

A friend had recommended the Hartstone Inn for its charm and the dinner experience with a top rated chef. It was charming and the dinners were excellent. We will stay there again when we return to Camden.

The best location in Camden, Michael the owner of the Inn is a first class chef .the included breakfast has a delightful First course each morning . A choice of a Main Egg dish which changes daily ( how about a lobsterFrittata?)plus standard such as oatmeal. Service is top notch. We stayed in the " cottage suite on the back... More

Couldn't have been more beautiful! And the staff was superb. All the rooms are different and very tastefully decorated. All guests needs were addressed. Breakfast (included) was very good -- ordered off a menu. Loved it, and if I return to Camden I'll stay there

Felt very rushed upon checking in by the young lady who met us. She seemed a little stressed. All business, no fun!! The inn and food was very nice, tastefully done, however, it's a big business and we never met the owners until the second day, met Mary Jo. They are not there to greet you and give you that...
