We found this inn on the internet, having never been to the mid coast of Maine. What a find! The rooms are beautiful (we stayed in the Loft) and the owners did everything they could to make the stay wonderful. From suggesting attractions to chatting with guests each evening. And the food? Best breakfast ever at a B&B! They also... More

We stayed in a first floor room overlooking US 1. Our part of the hotel was a restored building that had been nicely done. The room and bath were comfortable. The price was very reasonable. While we did not eat dinner there, we did eat the excellent complementary breakfast. The staff was very nice. The innkeeper went out of her... More

This review is long overdue. No less heartfelt, as this was our fourth year staying at the Hartstone Inn. A little background for us; my husband travels the globe extensively for work, throughout the year and is often away, staying at various hotels and lodging. I have a 35-year career in hotels, restaurants, and hospitality. Hartstone is our first and... More

Stayed for two nights in August and as always the staff was warm and accommodating. As a family traveling with little kids it is always nice to have folks ready with ideas of what to do and how to enjoy the trip to the fullest. Dinner was delicious and the accommodations spot on. We will be back for sure. Location... More

Our dinner at the Hartstone Inn restaurant was fabulous. First, they helped us select a delicious red wine which was very reasonably priced. We started with the baked figs and Brie appetizer which was superb. My wife had the macadamian encrusted cod with roasted vegetable risotto which tasted as good as it sounds. I had the balsamic glazed flank steak... More

Charming Camden is a place that makes you want to quit your job and stay forever. Lush, green, tidy and picturesque, there is hardly a more satisfying breath of fresh air than the one you'll take standing in the hydrangea-filled little green park overlooking the harbor and gazing around at the natural and man-made beauty that surrounds you. Camden is... More

Lovely place to stay in a beautiful area. Close to the harbour and Main Street. We were given an upgrade to a HUGE and comfortable suite - much appreciated. Helpful on-site parking. Cocktails in the evening were excellent, as was dinner (I'd recommend eating there in the evening). My only (minor) criticism is that it needs to be made clear... More

This chef owned restaurant is a delight. Reasonably priced with beautifully prepared food served by attentive staff in a lovely environment. So unusual to have formal service, despite the semi casual nature of the restaurant. Wonderful line list with a surprisingly large number of bottles under $30. Our second visit, and still delighted.

If you want to truly enjoy the area, look no further. The Hartstone knows how to run a top notch establishment! From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave, you will appreciate lovely accommodations, delicious food, and friendly attention to detail from the staff. Not one or two members of the staff but, all of them!! We especially... More

We could not have asked for more from the Hartstone Inn. We were upgraded to a suite upon arrival for no apparent reason. The carriage house suite was beautiful, romantic and exquisitely furnished. The innkeepers were knowledgable and provided great suggestions about things to see and do in the area. Chef Michael Salmon's breakfast was perfect. We met some lovely... More
