Welcome to Elms of Camden, a year-round Boutique Bed & Breakfast located in the charming coastal town of Camden, Maine. Elms of Camden is an authentic 1806 New England Colonial and a fine example of preservation and restoration. Our home is a short walk to the harbor, shops, restaurants, and activities in downtown Camden. Our historic bed and breakfast offers the perfect setting for a romantic getaway, a comfortable escape for friends, family, and couples, or a launching pad for day trips to Acadia National Park, Maine Islands, Boothbay Harbor, and many other popular Maine destinations. Each room at our bed and breakfast is individually decorated and has its own unique charm. Although the house was built in 1806, you’ll enjoy modern amenities that meet the needs of today’s travelers. Here at Elms of Camden, we strive to provide the most comfortable lodging experience in Camden, Maine. All guest rooms have their own private bath, flat-screen TV with basic cable access, secure WiFi, USB charging stations, irons/ironing boards, hairdryers, luxurious towels, and fine linens. All rooms feature individually controlled AC/Heat and gas fireplaces (Dahlia has the original 1806 cooking fireplace and is decorative only). For your convenience, a guest pantry is available 24/7 with a small refrigerator, a variety of individually-wrapped snacks, and a Keurig beverage station. And of course, you’ll be treated to a made-from-scratch two-course breakfast each morning!

We chose Elms of Camden as our getaway to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Camden. This was perfect for us! We were tucked away behind the main house in the room called Iris. It was very private and quiet even though the inn is on the main road. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we loved having a fireplace. Gary and James were easy to talk to and gave wonderful advice about things in Camden. The breakfast was excellent! If you like old homes, and want to explore Camden, we highly recommend Elms of Camden.

The Elms of Camden is in the ideal location to explore the town. We left our car in their ample parling lot and found it very easy to explore Camden on foot. My husband and I were in the Aster room and that was the perfect size room for us. We felt that The Elms had just the right number of guest rooms, which enabled us to get to know the other guests during the breakfast time. Gary and James both offered tips that only a local would know to get us off the tourist trail and eexperience restaurants and locations that we would have otherwise missed,

We recently took a little family east coast autumn trip with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. We decided to make a stop in Camden as we heard it's so beautiful and quaint. I'm so glad we visited and even more glad we decided to stay at the Elms of Camden! What a gorgeous historic home. When we arrived we were welcomed by our gracious and kind hosts, James and Gary. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating and showed us to our lovely room. We had the best tub with jets!! Loved taking a bath in there! Gary is such a fantastic cook! We LOVED our breakfasts, they were all unique and flavorful. Gary is definitely a big foodie and puts a lot of care and consideration into what he cooks for his guests. He also had great restaurant recommendations. All the amenities were perfect (they even have umbrellas you can use, very nice touch!). We had a fabulous stay thanks to owners Gary and James. This is a lovely B&B. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and cozy, and was conveniently located just off the patio area where breakfast is served. Speaking of breakfast...WOW! The breakfasts were outstanding! As good as any breakfast you can get at a high end cafe. Gary and James are delightful, accommodating, and informative! The rates are very reasonable, even during high season, and the location is great as well. Short walk (about 10 minutes more or less) to the harbor, shops and restaurants. What a truly wonderful stay! I would highly recommend Elms of Camden to anyone visiting the area!!

Gary and James are lovely hosts: friendly, gracious, and helpful. The premises are spotlessly clean and charmingly furnished. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, free wireless internet, even A/C! With the balmy weather, Gary served breakfast on the patio. They even had freshly-baked cookies downstairs for late-night snacking. So relaxing, my stress just wafted away on the Maine breeze.
