From check-in to check-out, this was a perfect stay. The Inn is easy to find, close to downtown, and charming from the get-go. There is ample parking. We were greeted at the door by Cat, who showed us around the home and gave us some information about the area. She was charming and willing to field all of our questions. Our room was large, clean, and had all amenities that we would need. We especially appreciated the large, recently remodeled shower, which can be a rarity with B&B's. Breakfast, cooked by Bob, was delicious. Checkout was seamless. Beyond the kind innkeepers and the perfect location, we were also very pleased with the cleanliness of the property. We would love to visit again!
Camden is rather hoity-toity in our books, so we usually just pass through. We reserved the Blackberry Inn because owners of our planned B&B in Brunswick decided to retire at the last moment, leaving us with Camden, and the Blackberry Inn as our best choice. My husband isn't usually very good with new places. The owners put him instantly at ease. We asked if we could enjoy our bottle of wine and dinner deli sandwiches on the breakfast patio-no problem, our request was accommodated enthusiastically! My husband was able to relax in a calm environment after driving all day. If saved us from the madness of driving and trying to find a parking place in downtown Camden and waiting for a table. We had reserved Lizzy's room on the second floor, which was one of the smallest. Despite the small size, the sink area was set up perfectly to accommodate guests. The separate shower and toilet area was also adequate. We were happy the room had a/c, as it was a pretty hot day for Camden. There was great lighting options in the room. We slept well, couldn't hear much road noise even thought the Inn is on busy Rt 1. Breakfast was pancakes, broiled pineapple, sausage, oj, coffee. Private parking was right outside. All was good. We definitely put this Inn on our return travel list.…
A perfect B&B with amazing breakfast and service. This was such a great experience. The rooms are all unique and perfect touches. They make you feel at home. Good parking and a close walk to everything. The breakfast in the morning was amazing!
Blackberry Inn was an excellent choice. Cat and Bob are cheerful, welcoming hosts—and most helpful. During our stay we required some non-emergency medical assistance, and they provided the name, address and directions to a clinic in Rockland. We are eager to return.
This Inn is excellent. Owners Bob and Catherine take much (justified) pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, enjoyable environment for their guests. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well appointed. Catherine, who chooses the decor, has attended to every detail a traveler would want. Bob, who does the breakfast cooking, prepares a two-course menu that changes daily, provides delicious variety, and starts your day with joy. This was easily the best stay of our trip to the Maine coast. Highly recommended.
Made a reservation about sixty days ago and had to cancel for family matters about a week before the trip. Inn owner kept the deposit and would not refund. To be fair, I read and understand the cancellation policy. Would caution travellers that many alternative travel accomodations do not refund deposits if not cancelled within one or two days of travel. Very unfair to take a person's hard earned money
Bob and Catherine, our hosts were fantastic. They helped us by adjusting our reservation when our trip was delayed due to canceled flights. They didn’t have to, but they did anyway. The breakfasts were delicious and our room (believe it was called the garden suite) had a very comfortable bed, large bathroom and electric fireplace which was needed in the cool October nights! Thanks again for a wonderful stay ❤️
This was the best of our stays along coastal Maine. There were4 4of us , friends for many years, and, while we are not picky in the least, this lodging was pure heaven. The rooms ( we had a cabin and a cottage) were beautifully appointed without that b&b fluff that makes you feel as though you don’t dare to spill the wine. Everything about the rooms was designed for comfort, and so it delivered. The breakfasts were yet another treat, each breakfast had a menu and was served to you. This seemed a particular treat after the COVID years, when we often got a Pre-packaged roll and a cup for coffee. The breakfasts were delicious, nutritious, and satisfied all types of food issues. It was difficult to leave Lastly, Kat and Bob, who run this b&b, are simply wonderful people, with large hearts and engaging personalities.…
We had a delightful experience at this inn! The rooms are themed and decorated accordingly and retain so much from the house built in 1849. It is just a short walk to all the restaurants and shops in town. Bob and Cat were delightful! Cat told us a lot about the history of the house and served a delicious breakfast. There is a patio outdoors that can be used when weather is nice but the dining room was so charming that I preferred to sit there to take in all the accoutrements. You won’t go wrong staying here, imho..
Bob and Kay run a spiffy operation. Our room had all we could ask for, especially considering the reasonable price. Bob’s breakfast, however was awesome! Everything was lovingly prepared and presented! Note: great patio. Proximity to town= healthy stroll. Hope to be back soon!
