This is a clearly lovingly maintained Victorian home, just 5 minutes from downtown Camden (if you're walking!). We were greeted by Cat who co-owns the place with her husband Bob. Both of them were exceedingly friendly and accommodating. The room was perfect and beautiful, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic too, all cooked onsite by Bob who came out because he truly wanted to meet and connect with his guests. Their summer hires were really friendly and helpful too, and also nice to chat with. The decor and details of the place surrounded and impressed upon us a sense of pride and care, and the owners obviously enjoy putting a lot of work into making the place special. Cat also offered great advise about the surrounding area which we took her up on and ended up coming away with some great memories due to it. Just minutes from beautiful hikes, handsome coastal downtown charm, and even a couple of museums (the Farnsworth features work by Maine native Andrew Wyeth). Highly recommended for those of you looking for some peace and quiet, some nice walks, some New England charm...kudos to Blackberry!

Simply lovely. Those words describe best what a wonderful, relaxing stay we had at the Blackberry Inn. In addition to the excellent amenities in the Birch Retreat (vintage carriage house converted to an adorable two-room cottage with a gas woodstove and jacuzzi tub), Cat and Bob were kindly attentive to every need and wish. Lounging on the huge, soft queen bed in the flicker of the flames was the best part! Along with all of this, Bob and Cat can converse about anything with intelligence and wit. The breakfasts were delicious. Need I say more?

I met the owners of this inn on a B&B tour in 2017. I instantly fell in love with the charm of the owners and the charm of the property. All of the rooms are absolutely beautiful and each different but my favorite is the Birch Suite which has 3 beds, a kitchen, a whirlpool bath with painted sink, a fire box, and the loveliest rustic decor. The inn smells delicately of soft potpourri which further melts my heart. Every time I visit, the owners remember my breakfast favorites and even little details about me such as I like extra sugar with my tea. The owner’s attention to every detail of their inn and of their guests makes this my favorite place to stay in Maine!

Everything was just perfect. The room was super, and the breakfast was great. We enjoyed it immensely. Besides all of that, the Blackberry Inn is within walking distance of downtown and Camden harbor. Great hosts!

We stayed in the Birch Retreat, a delightful two room suite with gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The room was warm, comfortable and spacious. We especially enjoyed playing Devil Among the Tailors, a pub game built by Bob, one of the inn owners, on the tradition of pub games from England, his country of origin. Cat and Bob were friendly and very attentive to our comfort. We enjoyed chatting with them over delicious breakfasts. We will definitely return to this charming inn by the sea!
