We stayed here for three nights during our visit to Camden and felt at home. We needed a late check-in which was not a problem, and on recommendation of the owner, we had changed our room booking to the Victorian - we were very grateful for that recommendation because the street in front of the inn gets quite busy once morning comes and the Victorian is in the back and quieter. Our room was cosy and spacious with a big bathroom and we were happy with it, I just found the bed a bit too bouncy and soft but it didn’t keep us from sleeping well. There’s a lovely peaceful garden and breakfast is served on a patio outside which was a special treat. They serve two courses and made changes on all days to accommodate some dietary restrictions I had which I really appreciated. It was freshly prepared and tasty. There’s a community fridge and a Keurig coffee/tea machine which was handy. The town is in walking distance. A note on the interior - I found it a little too old school and in need of a bit of an update for my taste but I realize this is the character of the place and some might like it exactly for that. I also noticed a strange perfumed smell in the hallways which I found a little too dominant. And I had somehow understood that they would provide water every day but that wasn’t the case, only on day one, so we had to pay when we asked for two more bottles on the last day. We had been at another B&B just before which was a little more user friendly and easy going, otherwise I might not have noticed the difference so much. In any case we were happy with our stay here.

Camden is rather hoity-toity in our books, so we usually just pass through. We reserved the Blackberry Inn because owners of our planned B&B in Brunswick decided to retire at the last moment, leaving us with Camden, and the Blackberry Inn as our best choice. My husband isn't usually very good with new places. The owners put him instantly at ease. We asked if we could enjoy our bottle of wine and dinner deli sandwiches on the breakfast patio-no problem, our request was accommodated enthusiastically! My husband was able to relax in a calm environment after driving all day. If saved us from the madness of driving and trying to find a parking place in downtown Camden and waiting for a table. We had reserved Lizzy's room on the second floor, which was one of the smallest. Despite the small size, the sink area was set up perfectly to accommodate guests. The separate shower and toilet area was also adequate. We were happy the room had a/c, as it was a pretty hot day for Camden. There was great lighting options in the room. We slept well, couldn't hear much road noise even thought the Inn is on busy Rt 1. Breakfast was pancakes, broiled pineapple, sausage, oj, coffee. Private parking was right outside. All was good. We definitely put this Inn on our return travel list.

This was the best of our stays along coastal Maine. There were4 4of us , friends for many years, and, while we are not picky in the least, this lodging was pure heaven. The rooms ( we had a cabin and a cottage) were beautifully appointed without that b&b fluff that makes you feel as though you don’t dare to spill the wine. Everything about the rooms was designed for comfort, and so it delivered. The breakfasts were yet another treat, each breakfast had a menu and was served to you. This seemed a particular treat after the COVID years, when we often got a Pre-packaged roll and a cup for coffee. The breakfasts were delicious, nutritious, and satisfied all types of food issues. It was difficult to leave Lastly, Kat and Bob, who run this b&b, are simply wonderful people, with large hearts and engaging personalities.

A beautiful, warm welcoming, nice and calm B&B hosted by the cutest, nicest and sweetest couple. The entire B&B was really cosy. The breakfast was amazing. Served by the hostess herself with so much love and passion. The B&B is located very near the centre of Camden where sailing tours are offered. We did a sail with Schooner which was just amazing.

My son and I booked a room for two for our trip to Maine. At the last minute, my daughter was able to join us. So, I reached out to the inn advising of the additional guest to determine if any modifications to the reservations would need to be made. I was contacted by the owner who advised that there were no rooms that could accommodate us and that my options were to cancel my reservation along with my payment for same or receive a credit for up to six months. I live in Tennessee and have no plans to return in six months so there was only one option - cancel and lose money. Or I could have just left my daughter at home - not an option. There was another room available for a higher rate with a king bed but that it only accommodated two people. I advised the owner that we could all sleep in the king bed but that option was denied by the owner due to the rigid two people only rule. I contacted the other places we are staying, and none had an issue. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced and would not recommend staying at Blackberry Inn. We could have simply shown up at the inn without notifying ahead of time of the additional, but I was trying to do the right thing and be honest. Honesty doesn't pay at the place obviously. Be warned.

We really enjoyed the Blackberry Inn. We had one of the garden rooms, it was very nicely decorated, had a large bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Everything was clean and the fireplace was a nice touch on the rainy night when we arrived. The owners Bob and Cat were engaging and very helpful about the local area. The breakfast which is served in 2 courses was very good. Now we were there in Oct so prices may have been lower, but I thought this place was a great value. The Inn is located walking distance from the downtown and that would be essential in the summer when the town is packed. Overall I rate this place a 5 of 5.

As follow up to my prior review, the owner said she would not refund my payment since she would not be able to have someone else occupy the room. Well, while we were in Camden, we drove by the Inn and noticed a “No Vacancy” sign during the same time period of our booking. So she was able to book the room and earn double for the accommodation. She was also able to book the other larger room that was available that I tried to book that was more. Stay away from this owner and property. There are other places to stay in Camden that are accommodating and customer friendly.

This Inn is excellent. Owners Bob and Catherine take much (justified) pride in providing a welcoming, comfortable, enjoyable environment for their guests. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well appointed. Catherine, who chooses the decor, has attended to every detail a traveler would want. Bob, who does the breakfast cooking, prepares a two-course menu that changes daily, provides delicious variety, and starts your day with joy. This was easily the best stay of our trip to the Maine coast. Highly recommended.

From check-in to check-out, this was a perfect stay. The Inn is easy to find, close to downtown, and charming from the get-go. There is ample parking. We were greeted at the door by Cat, who showed us around the home and gave us some information about the area. She was charming and willing to field all of our questions. Our room was large, clean, and had all amenities that we would need. We especially appreciated the large, recently remodeled shower, which can be a rarity with B&B's. Breakfast, cooked by Bob, was delicious. Checkout was seamless. Beyond the kind innkeepers and the perfect location, we were also very pleased with the cleanliness of the property. We would love to visit again!

I stayed here for one night and it was wonderful. The owners are so welcoming and friendly and caring. They are so thoughtful with their amenities. The breakfast is delicious, and as someone who as a lot of allergies I was very appreciative of their ability to accommodate all of them. The location is very nice and quiet and the decor is very sweet. Will be recommending this place to everyone I know.

A great choice in many respects, accommodating innkeepers, a good location, accommodations that will not disappoint, and outstanding food. I believe that they just have 13 rooms so that there would be overflow and they might not have a space for all to gather comfortably. I suggest a trip to the area to research the possibilities.
There are more places to choose from in the Camden area.
