#10 of 11 hotels in Camden
Each of our accommodations is a water view at solar-powered Birchwood - an adorable roadside eco inn set on a farmette in charming Camden, Maine – making us a unique place to stay in Midcoast. Whether you need a room for a night or two or seek a longer stay in our cottage or apartments, our agricultural bed and breakfast vibe stands out among the other motels, hotels or inns of Camden and Midcoast Maine. Set across the road from Penobscot Bay amid our lush gardens on Coastal Route One just 2.5 miles north of Camden's downtown harbor district. Offering guest rooms, a cottage, two bedroom vacation apartment and brand new efficiency suites. Organic coffee and teas, fresh fruit, juice, organic homemade scones (made with fruit and eggs raised right here at Birchwood)are offered as a continental breakfast each morning in our spacious common area. Clean, green and uniquely Camden, Maine. What more do you really need?

Loved this place! Reasonably priced for the area, nicely decorated rooms, cleanest motel I’ve ever been to, lovely gardens, super friendly and helpful owner, nice view of the ocean across the street. We just stopped in for one night while passing through but hope to go back and stay longer to explore the area more. Camden was a lovely town.

Lovely lodge just out of the bustle of Camden. Quiet, extraordinarily clean, comfortable beds, great prices, large rooms, and DELICIOUS continental breakfast! You will not regret staying at this family owned and run Birchwood! We will absolutely stay again when we return to Camden. The grounds can accommodate bikes, rental kayaks, and Jenny, the owner, is endlessly helpful and full of information and ideas. As of this review, they've been there 16 years - they know and love all of Maine and are happy to help any traveler find enjoyment in what they're interested in. You just have to ask! Also, there is a beautiful garden on the property where the owners grown much of their food during the summer.

Thank you for this lovely review and for being a wonderful guest. Yes, if you want a larger space the new efficiency rooms are roomy and a good choice for multi night stays. Guests should note that our standard guest rooms are of a smaller scale.

Very efficient and accommodating, clean and spacious rooms, convenient to town, great vegetable gardens and chickens to peruse. Great mini breakfast. One of the cleanest places we have stayed. Problem solving skills were top notch. When our tv station had no sound they got on the horn and corrected it immediately. Highly recommend.
