This place is an absolute gem! You MUST stay here if you want great water views, clean rooms, beautiful landscape, relaxed and quiet setting, and comfortable beds. In a nutshell...Perfection! I recommend staying in the Owl's Head loft suite.

live2love love2live, ...What a great handle! It makes our day every time someone has a great, restful stay at the Lodge. We don't take the credit for the view, the cool air, the Maine light, or the lobsters...but they don't hurt! Hope to see you again soon! More

We enjoyed our experience at the Lodge at Camden Hills. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was an amazing treat in the morning! Easy 30 minute walk into town and it was nice to be a bit on the outside. The hosts were amazingly friendly! We will be back.

Such a lovely place with a friendly great staff. We have stayed twice now and loved it both times. The location is fantastic. We walked to dinner one night and were so close we kept walking and had dinner downtown. The rooms all have a great view and its so peaceful and quiet that I have found myself missing reading... Hello Brianna, sounds like you know how to have fun. There are a ton of things to do in Camden and with The Lodge being off the beaten path, you have the best of two worlds staying here. Mt Battie takeout is only a ten minute walk to the north from the Lodge and a favorite place for an ice... More

Thank you so much for making his 50th birthday amazing. The Kineo Suite was awesome. Very relaxing. We felt like we were camping in a luxury suite on the Ocean! Best of both worlds. Everyone there was very helpful and pleasant! Will definitely recommend to family & friends! Ann & Curt

We received a 2 night stay at The Lodge at Camden Hills as a gift from a family member. We stayed in a cottage, with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. It was well-appointed, and cozy, yet roomy. The bedroom was enormous, and the entire unit was impeccably clean. It really felt like a home away from home. In fact, our... More

I was on groupon in the getaways section when I saw the deal for The Lodge at Camden Hills. As I do before ordering anything online, I went on google and reviewed The Lodge and the town of Camden, Maine. After all the research, I knew that Camden would be our destination, The Lodge was where we would be staying... More

Loved the place. Was there for the full Strawberry moon. Could see it rise out of the water from our deck. A big draw for us seeing the water at a distance. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Loved the breakfast basket. Would return again.

I agree, it was a great strawberry moon rise. Next one will be around 2095, so I saw my first and my last strawberry moon June 20th 2016. Thank you for pointing it out. Moon and sun rises over the Penobscot are usually fantastic but this one in particular was exciting to watch knowing how seldom it happens. Several guests... More

A beautiful B & B on the hills overlooking Camden's harbor. Very comfortable unit (one of the fireplace suites) which we found extremely comfortable with a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, m/c, coffeemaker (with great coffee) and 2 burner stove-top, allowing for any desired cooking. A delicious breakfast goodies was left in a basket at our door early each morning,... More

The Lodge at Camden Hills is one of the Camden's most scenic properties. Owned by the Burgess family for over forty years, the Lodge is a village of four cottages, four suites, and four standard rooms in five unique buildings across nine acres. With a view of Penobscot Bay ahead and Mount Battie directly behind us, it is easy to relax at the Lodge. Watch sailboats on the bay, wind-blown from island to island, from your private deck. Enjoy well-appointed, clean, and comfortable lodging. There is comfort in the privacy of your own space at the Lodge. Each room has a private entrance with parking and a deck with water views of Penobscot Bay. Our goal is to make our rooms as comfortable as possible. It is our experience that after a good night's sleep, Maine will work its magic on your mind and spirit! Our luxurious bedding by Cuddledown will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Our Maine-made comforters and pillows along with 400-thread count, 100% combed cotton bedding are inviting, soft, and comfortable. A continental breakfast basket is hung outside your door each morning so you can enjoy breakfast in your room at your leisure before heading out to explore the mid-coast. Start your morning with freshly-brewed coffee, tea, local baked goods, Maine-made Stonewall Kitchen jam, and orange juice. At day's end experience dramatically dark, star-filled skies, the robust smell of fir trees mixed with a little wood smoke, and cool air on your skin. Together these elements create an experience that is what Maine is all about. ... more   less
