The Lodge at Camden Hills is one of the Camden's most scenic properties. Owned by the Burgess family for over forty years, the Lodge is a village of four cottages, four suites, and four standard rooms in five unique buildings across nine acres. With a view of Penobscot Bay ahead and Mount Battie directly behind us, it is easy to relax at the Lodge. Watch sailboats on the bay, wind-blown from island to island, from your private deck. Enjoy well-appointed, clean, and comfortable lodging. There is comfort in the privacy of your own space at the Lodge. Each room has a private entrance with parking and a deck with water views of Penobscot Bay. Our goal is to make our rooms as comfortable as possible. It is our experience that after a good night's sleep, Maine will work its magic on your mind and spirit! Our luxurious bedding by Cuddledown will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Our Maine-made comforters and pillows along with 400-thread count, 100% combed cotton bedding are inviting, soft, and comfortable. A continental breakfast basket is hung outside your door each morning so you can enjoy breakfast in your room at your leisure before heading out to explore the mid-coast. Start your morning with freshly-brewed coffee, tea, local baked goods, Maine-made Stonewall Kitchen jam, and orange juice. At day's end experience dramatically dark, star-filled skies, the robust smell of fir trees mixed with a little wood smoke, and cool air on your skin. Together these elements create an experience that is what Maine is all about.

We were scheduled for two nights in the Penobscot cottage. Upon our arrival, we were overwhelmed by the smell of mold and mildew. When walking into the small cottage, the furniture in the living area was old and tattered with rips in the upholstery. The rug had several visible stains. The in room Jacuzzi was several years old and there were live and dead bugs on the bottom including tics and spiders. There were also dead bugs on the carpet in the bedroom. When walking outside to the outdoor hot tub, there were several dead bugs floating on the surface. The management team was dismissive and unresponsive. We had already been charged for one night as a deposit and I requested a refund and no further charges. The manager, Mary Jo, declined. In reviewing my credit card statement, I was charged for the second night and this charge was without authorization. I never received notice my card had been charged. I did get an email thanking me for my stay. I am now pursuing action through my credit card company.

We have stayed at The Lodge almost every year for 40 years. The latest improvements are real plus. New furniture that is mor comfortable and a great new bed. The outdoor cedar hot tub is not to be missed. It is perfect for the Maine weather. Couples will find this to be a great place to stay.

We live in Maine and decided to do a little 'staycation' weekend getaway and I am so glad we found Lodge and Camden Hills. We stayed in the newly renovated Owls Head cabin and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin is HUGE and extremely clean and comfortable. We used the cedar hot tub every chance we got and it was exactly what we needed. The ambiance of the outdoor lights at night with snow on the ground (we stayed in February) while we were enjoying the hot tub was magical. Several good places to eat less than 2 miles from the Lodge made going out very convenient. Due to a large snow storm we had to reschedule our initial booking and the customer service was excellent. We may make this a yearly thing!

Our recent stay at the lodge was just the getaway we were looking for. The cottage was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable Fall stay in Camden. We visit Camden for hiking and outdoor time and The Lodge is perfectly situated for that. Jim and Mary Jo are fabulous hosts. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at The Lodge at Camden Hills last week and had so much fun! Mary Jo and Jim keep the grounds beautiful and the cottages are charming. We had a fire ready in each fireplace when we arrived and the campfire was a lot of fun. The Lodge is an easy drive into Camden for restaurants and shopping. Do yourself a favor and stay at The Lodge at Camden Hills when you want a charming cottage in a rustic setting!

This must have been my tenth visit over the years and I loved it. The Snow Cottage has a working fireplace and jacuzzi, in addition to kitchen where you can cook pretty much anything including your own lobsters. It's just a mile from "downtown" Camden so you can stock up on any provisions you need there, with a great Hannaford's close by with anything you could want. The owners are as friendly as you'd wish but also know how to give guests their privacy. The place is constantly updated and the new pine floor in the cottage was a pleasure to experience. So glad I came back.

Comfortable place to stay for a few nights. Wish it was a little longer. Private, great views, nice areas to walk. Sagamore Farm Trail next to property and Camden Hills State Park is just a short walk away. Close to town and a short drive to Rockport.

My wife and I stayed at Lodge at Camden Hills for our vacation this summer. We loved the place it has amazing views of the lake, mountains, and is conveniently located between downtown Camden and Camden State park. The accommodations were great, excellent service, and you have easy access to wherever you'd like to visit in the area. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay at an affordable price!

Thanks for another great stay at your beautiful Lodge. Warm, cozy, clean and private --- just a stone’s throw to downtown shops and favorite restaurants. Just what we needed to ring in the new year and bid farewell to a tough 2020. Already looking forward to our next visit!

My wife and I recently spent a week at The Lodge on a vacation to view the fall foliage. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The property is just beautiful and well maintained. From our room, we had a great view of the bay. A perfect place to sit out on the porch with a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the sunrise. The location is just far enough outside of Camden to avoid all of the crowds, yet just a few minutes away so one can enjoy the town's benefits (food, shopping and sailing). Being located next to the state park, it also offers great trail hiking, not just on the property, but in the surrounding Forest.
