This was a charming hotel! My husband and I were escaping the craziness in Mass, with the closing of everything, even restaurants. It was a breath of fresh air to go to Camden, ME. The staff was wonderful, very helpful. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, too. They served us at our table, because of the safety of the cronavirus. The food was delicious, very fresh. I definitely recommend The Lord Camden Inn!

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed here for two nights and it was amazing, we had such an excellent view facing the Main Street, but even better we could see the bay, sunrise to sunset was absolutely stunning. The rooms are very nicely decorated and the bed was quite comfortable for us, especially nice having a mini fridge. The breakfast was always tasty, we really enjoyed the free coffee, hot coca, hot tea and the warm baked chocolate chip cookies. The staff is outstanding and make every effort to make sure you are happy with your stay. Denise, the sweet lady at the front desk was especially helpful in guiding us to excellent restaurant’s in Camden and answering any and all questions we might have had. Your only regret will be if you don’t stay here, we are so looking forward to returning.

There is a lot to like about the Lord Camden. Very friendly people. Great location. River view rooms are quiet. Not much view as the river is small and straight down. Rooms are functional and slightly dated. This is a good quality but not 5 star property, nor do they pretend to be one. Breakfast is one step up from basic. Good fresh fruit.

Hello Everett, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your overall stay with us and especially your mention of our friendly staff and premier downtown location. As you mention, we are definitely not a modern property, nor pretend to be. Our building's historic quality and character are qualities we want to preserve and allow our guests to experience. However, we do continue to update and refresh our guest rooms on an annual basis, with a very recent and extensive makeover to all rooms and suites that included new desks and accent chairs, lamps, dressers, HD LED TV's, and luxurious sheets and blankets from Comphy brand. We know guests still enjoy their modern luxuries and conveniences, we just happen to wrap it in historic charm. If you are looking for a more modern look and feel, we encourage you to stay next time at our nearby sister property, 16 Bay View. This AAA 4 Diamond rated property may be just what you are looking for. In regards to our breakfast, our intent is for this to be one of the highlights of our guest's experience, featuring local farm fresh eggs, house-made pastries, house-made waffles, and house-made granola and local Camden Bagel Cafe artisanal bagels; along with fresh cut fruit, yogurt, bacon, and sausage. It seems we fell short a bit on this experience for you and for that I apologize. We hope to welcome you back soon, if not at the Lord Camden Inn, perhaps at one of our other two properties in town, 16 Bay View, mentioned above, or Grand Harbor Inn. Warmest regards, Christopher Sprague Director of Guest Services
