Rooms and cottages are basic but clean and comfortable. The views and setting of the cottages and shore motel are nothing short of incredible. The owners are friendly and helpful and very accommodating. Very close proximity to downtown Camden and Camden Hills State Park.

Perfect seaside location. Rustic and clean. Very friendly at the front desk. If you want a quiet seaside getaway this is the place. My dog and I enjoyed the beautiful hidden beach and walking around the spacious property we had the last unit # 9 which was perfect for my dog & I. The view from our screened in porch... More

We've stayed three times in 15 years and each experience was fabulous. Cabins are rustic and clean and absolutely charming. Great atmosphere, fabulous food next door at Mt Battie's Takeout (best seafood ever). We absolutely love this place.

Clean, friendly, original, authentic, affordable location, location, location. I stay here every time I visit mid-Coast Maine. The cottages are located right above the water in a serene site, just off the highway (which you can't see or hear from your cottage). I'd rather not write a positive review, since I'd prefer to keep this place a secret.

Hubby and I loved the cozy cottage almost sitting in the water of Penobscot bay. With all the windows, we could see 180 degrees from either the couch or the bed. In the mornings you can watch the fishing boats catching what you will probably be having later for dinner! Some might call this old-fashioned, but to me, it was... More

The rooms are right over the rocks. We had a basic room that provided everything we needed. The view was fantastic, the sun comes up over the water early but the views were gorgeous. The room was very basic but clean. It is not fancy, so don't expect great, but I didn't find anything else on the water quite like... More

Our motel was very dated (I'm talking the 1950's) but very clean. The two cottages directly on the water were taken, but we had the room in the motel that was directly on the rocks overlooking the water. It was a delight to open our sliding door to the screened-in back porch and listen to and see the water every... More

If you can get a room or cottage on the water, take it. We had motel room #11-- it's so close to the water the porch is sometimes flooded during winter storms. As other reviewers have said, the exterior of this place is not going to win any awards. The interior isn't either, but where else in Camden will you... More

Your first impression will probably not be good. All units on the water are weathered badly. But the interiors are very clean and comfortable. Mattresses and bedding are excellent. Never slept so well for both nights. You can't be right on the ocean in Camden for less than twice/thrice/quadruple the price. And it is very very quiet. We only wish... More

We stayed up in one if the top cabins. No water view but you can walk the motel 's many acres. They have a beach area and a rocky area to climb around on. We stayed on a night the weather was clear. Be sure to look up. IF you are a city dweller, be extra sure you look up.... More
