We have a wonderful stay at Whitehall. Gwen was exceptional and extremely friendly. She put together a take-away breakfast the night before we had an early morning whitewater rafting trip. Highly recommend this clean and chic boutique B&B.
Hi squity,
We love when we have the opportunity to welcome guests who are celebrating special occasions and our team would like to again extend a hearty "Cheers!" to you and yours. Gwen thanks you for sharing these kind words and we hope that you will consider making our time together an annual tradition.
Looking forward to seeing you again!

Disappointing at first, but overall a decent stay!
Our stay started off with absolutely no one being in the hotel lobby when we arrived. We actually had to call the hotel number for someone to come to the front desk.
Also, we are Lark Club members as we loved the hotel brand (after our experience at The Summercamp hotel in MV) but the experience we had at this location started off pretty dismal.
It’s very apparent that the hotel is short staffed which might be part of the problems we experienced. My husband purposely booked our room through the Lark hotel website for the club benefits( we could have just booked through a 3rd party booking site) and none of the club benefits were given until we reached out to the front desk staff via text.
No welcome gift in the room, no room upgrade, etc.
Once contacted, they made it right, but it really didn’t say much for the service of the hotel.
Other than this experience, the room was very clean. The hotel has a great style about it. The fire pit area outside is nice and relaxing. The bathroom in our room was very small but we were prepared for that given the age of the building.
The breakfast is small plates style but we actually really enjoyed it. It is a nice change from typical free breakfasts you get at hotels.
This hotel is also really close to Mt. Battie. You can either hike up or drive your car to the top. We thought the entrance fee is worth the view!
Thank you for sharing this feedback and for your continued loyalty as a Lark Club member! We're pleased to know you enjoyed the hotel, guest rooms, and outdoor areas. However, we're very sorry to hear your experience didn't start off on the right foot. We strive to provide top-notch service to all of our guests, and it sounds like we may have slightly missed the mark in this case. Despite that, we're relieved our on-site staff was able to handle and rectify this situation for you. It was a tough year for everyone, but we appreciate how patient our guests have been as we continue to navigate through the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope to see you again as we're confident we can provide you with an experience worth 5 stars!

We recently spent 2 nights in Camden at The Whitehall Inn while visiting Maine and loved staying here! It is perfectly located to "downtown" Camden, the rooms are beautifully decorated & comfortable and the way in which they went about handling protocols for Covid were perfect! The staff was extremely accommodating & very willing to answer any questions. They did an excellent job of still providing a daily breakfast that was unique & delicious too. All in all a beautiful facility! Highly recommend & hope to be back.

We spent two nights and there are some positive and negatives about this place. Positive would be that the staff is very nice, check in was swift and there is plenty of parking. The breakfast is nice and appears that a lot of care goes into preparing this. Negative would be the location is on a very loud and busy street and there are lots of stairs. We were on the 3rd floor and it was ok for us, however may not work well for others. There is also a lot of deffered maintenance here that didn’t interfere with our stay, but it is noticeable. The front porch looks great in the picture, but it’s not easy to sit there and relax with all the street noise.

Room Tip:It’s an easy walk to downtown, but this is a very busy street and after dark wasn’t a fun walk.

Greetings from Whitehall, We are glad you could join us in historic Camden, the place we've called home since 1834. Your kind words for the team are much appreciated. We're pleased you felt a warm welcome and attentive service from our gracious hosts. We do note the outside world was an intrusion on your peace and quiet and we'll also follow up on your maintenance observations. We hope we can welcome you again. Stay well.

Absolutely a great place to stay. Room was comfortable, bed and pillows awesome, property great and breakfast is included. Super friendly environment and the fire pit was awesome at. night. The only thing I would suggest is a long mirror on one of closet doors.

Everything was perfect. My only complaint is the queen room. We were assigned was very small, especially the bathroom. It was our second trip to this property and we will return. It is charming quiet, and the breakfast is sparse, but very well done.

Whitehall had all the feels of a charming hotel in the quintessential coastal setting of Maine. The lobby had a cozy living room feel. Homemade cookies upon arrival, fire pit, bar service, and front porch to come back to after strolling in the town. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable.

Stayed here as a family of four in two rooms in July on a road trip from Michigan to Nova Scotia. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Nice king sized bed, air conditioning, and overall clean and modern feel in a beautiful old house. Common area offered great seating options. There's a bar for simple drinks or wine. Location in relation to downtown Camden is great, easy to walk. The staff we encountered were very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was simple items but perfect and delicious. I loved the scones. This is a beautiful place and would be wonderful for a wedding or family event. Parking lot was a bit small and the road out front was busy but so worth a stay here!

The bed was just right. The walking distance to town was perfect! The breakfast was healthy and so good. It was a great experience. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace where we met new people to hear about their trip to Maine. We sat on the front porch in the rocking chairs watching traffic. The staff was always checking to see if we needed anything, the afternoon cookies and coffee was the perfect touch. It could not have been any better. It was an all-around good birthday weekend. The staff was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Charming old inn but decorated in a modern style. Breakfast was small plates but filling, cookies in the evening definitely appreciated. Our room was small and I'd recommend eye masks if you need a dark room to sleep. Check your dehumidifier and either turn it off or empty it before you turn in at night. A hilly walk to downtown, so you may want to drive, but it is quieter up the street from downtown.

We loved our stay at Whitehall. The staff was very kind and communicative (love the text feature) and helpful upon arrival. Kassie had great suggestions for off the beaten path sites - thank you! The old building was updated nicely with modern amenities and felt fresh. We also enjoyed the elevated continental breakfast.
