We booked online and did not have high expectations, however, from the moment we arrived we were pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome, the unlimited taffy bowl, the fresh baked cookies in the evening, the spacious clean room, the swing set on the beach, the delicious breakfast, and I cannot say enough about the friendly staff who made us feel...

Stayed in cabin 6, great view of water. Grounds are nice. WIFI is awesome.Jo is attentive and breakfast good but could use a little protein, we got yogurt in town to supplement. Close to great attractions Owls Head Transportation Museum and Farnsworth. Kitchen tiny but my husband managed to cook lobster so he was happy guy.

My third visit. Jo, the owner, is a wonderful hostess and HTI strikes a perfect balance between motel and B & B – and I have gone to both, even in Maine. My absolute first choice in Camden (where I grew up), and did I mention - popovers?

Cabin 5 was clean and very rustic, but the bed was firm and comfortable, and the view to Penobscot Bay was great. We stayed just one night, but enjoyed walking the grounds down to the rock beach. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with delicious muffins, popovers, and jams. The owner and staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Our first visit we stayed in one of the cabins, it was charming and comfortable. Our second visit we stayed in the main house in a lovely room with a great view of the ocean and property. Jo is a delight and makes you feel so comfortable, and she makes a wicked good popover! Hopefully we will be able to...

Greatly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Camden and the High Tide Inn . Jo and her staff were wonderful. If you like an updated, modern experience, then this is not the place for you. The place is definitely older and outdated. We stayed in cabin 1 and the unit had a very small kitchen. Emphasis on small. I loved...

We had not traveled the coast in Maine and were looking for a place on the water. We found amazing reasonable rates at the High Tide Inn, and based as it had been recommended we booked it. It was beyond our expectations. The service was great, and we lucked out (as we booked two days before going) and booked one...

On our return trip from Cape Breton we stopped for an overnight at this wonderful inn. Jo was such a pleasure - welcoming us and giving us some tips for dinner in the area. We stayed closest to the beach - but still up the hill. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable and a wonderful plus - windows that opened!!...

This is an older estate (main house built in 1904) that has been converted to an Inn. Nothing fancy, but it's our new favorite stop-over on our annual trip from Portland to points north. Breakfast on the patio with fresh-baked muffines and pop-overs make for a great start to the day. The property is about 4 miles north of Camden,...

This was a last minute booking and we were very pleased with the inn. Our room was quaint and just right for an over night stay. The grounds are wonderful with great view of the bay. The continental breakfast was wonderful-homemade fresh out of the oven muffins, popovers and great jams. The coffee was the best I have had in...
