We stayed here twice in July....at the beginning and at the end of our trip through New England. It was with sadness that the owners Candace and Alan told us that Greystone B&B has sold...and the business closed at the end of August 2015. Thank you Candace and Alan for all your hospitality, warmth and friendship. It has been a... More

My husband & I recently vacationed in Maine. We drove all over the state, one night staying in Calais on our way back to the coast from being in Millinocket. The Greystone Bed & Breakfast is a lovely home, with welcoming inn keepers( Candace & Alan). Our room , Karen's room, was very inviting. Had a quaint sitting area, nice... More

We drove from Massachusetts to Calais, on our way to PEI, and arrived tired, hungry, and unsure of what our accommodations would be like, having booked a room on line. What a happy surprise to pull up to this gorgeous home. Allen and my husband immediately hit it off, discussing handy-man projects and the ups and downs of home repair,... More

I have stayed with Alan and Candice several times now, and they are totally dedicated to running the finest Bed and Breakfast possible. They pamper their guests, and along with making fabulous breakfasts, the rooms are large and impeccably clean. They are extremely helpful regarding local Maine attractions and restaurants, and they devote themselves to making their guests feel "at... More

After a long trip on the road from NH, we were grateful to arrive at the Greystone Bed and Breakfast and meet our hosts. A warm greeting, a wonderful room, and a delicious breakfast made the stay complete! Our room was on the second floor and had an attached bath. It was spacious, with everything: satellite tv, wifi, bottles of... More

Candy & Allan have created a very lovely place to stay in Calais, Maine. My husband and I have stayed in B&B's all over the world, but this place is right up at the top. We stayed there 6 nights and loved every minute. The house is beautiful, lovely spacious rooms, fantastic breakfasts, nice neighborhood, and such thoughtful caring hosts.... More

We found Greystone to be delightful...good people and comfortable room at a reasonable price. We imagined Calais to be a charming vacation town, which it is not, but the charm of Greystone more than made up for our disappointment in the town. The local information center is, however, excellent.

My husband and I decided to drive down Route 1 from Calais Maine, on southward. What a gorgeous home. I would go as far as to say I would like to own this mansion. The innkeepers are the nicest people, and are genuinely interested in their guests comfort. It is spotlessly clean, and has lovely toiletries. The house is filled... More

My family stayed here for only one night, but it made a great impression on us all. The owners Allan & Candace were lovely, kind and very caring. The breakfast she made for us was exceptional and set in their beautiful formal dining room. The house has been lovingly and perfectly restored to its mid-18th century look. Elegant and comfortable.... More

From the moment you step into the lovely foyer of Greystone, you know you have come to an exceptional B&B. This historical property has been beautifully renovated with respect to the era the home was built in. The bed was heavenly and the breakfast was delicious! Candy and Allan went out of their way to make sure we had a... More
