We chose this motel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed at all. The owners made us immediately welcome, made a dinner reservation for us, and provided us with very comfortable accommodations. In fact, we liked it so well that we returned the next week for another night in the same room.

Here are things I like about the Bucksport Motor Inn: - OUTSTANDING guest service. The owner was chipper and welcoming as he recommended local restaurants and taking the walking path to the Narrows Bridge. - Clean, cute rooms. I felt welcomed immediately upon stepping into the room. The online pictures do not convey the comfort of the rooms. The bathroom... More

We stayed two nights, August 5 & 6, 2014. For the area, Bucksport Motor Inn earns the Five Dot rating. We wanted to stay within easy driving distance of Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, and some other coastal spots. Decent lodging in Ellsworth was full so I consulted Trip Advisor and chose this place. The Inn is an older... More

My husband and I were passing through and needed to spend a night in the area for a reasonable cost, and this motor inn fit the bill. It doesn't have many stars, but the comments from other travelers convinced me to give it a shot, and I was glad we did. First, the inn is owned by a family. They... More

My mother and I found this place by recommendation of another hotel in the area that was already full. I was hesitant as it is an older establishment. BUT...it is privately owned, well-maintained, spotlessly clean, quiet and we had a good night's rest. I would stay here again.

We booked our stay based on reviews we found on tripadvisor and we were so happy we did! The Bucksport Motor Inn was wonderful! It is family owned and operated. We were greeted by Valerie who was extremely helpful with suggestions on dining and places to see. Check in was fast and easy. We were very happy with the service... More

We found this place by accident, and it was a very Happy Accident! The rooms were large and clean and perfectly priced for the night! The owners are very familiar with the area and great to talk with. I'd suggest checking out the bridge, Fort Knox (especially at dusk - it's awesomely spooky!) and the small cemetery at the corner... What a relief to find this great little motel. Our room was sparkling clean and spacious with two queen beds. We paid $79 with our AAA discount. Such a great change from the overpriced B&B's in this area. The staff were professional and courteous and helpful with dining tips for the area. Microwave, fridge, Keurig, flat screen tv and wireless... More

I loved my room! The place is fresh and modern, the amenities are clean, and everything I want in a place to sleep over. I like having the Dunkin Donuts next door and the Hannaford grocery across the street. If you need one more thing to do, check out the memorial river walkway, or take the short drive over and... Stayed here for 2 nights due to ice storm. Rooms were immaculate, beds super comfortable, best room I've stayed in for some time. Room had microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee makers. Owners are super nice, going above and beyond. You can't miss the attention to detail. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
