You get a welcome wine and chocolates, the hotel looked clean, the staff was friendly and the entertainment team does a good job entertaining their guests. They had the best, I ever had, mango margaritas by the pool. Roberto was so attentive by the pool. I really liked their sweet crapes. We went to Adelita to try their tacos and they serve the tacos with flour tortillas, the meat wasn't seasoned. We also tasted the soggy pizza, it was horrible! Aldi pizza tastes better. They need to change their menu or seasoning, People love to eat Mexican food but I think they are trying to accommodate foreigners that may not like seasoning or spices. I was really disappointed with some of their food. The sushi was good at Ayami. My husband loved the lobster at Toscana. The food at Pajarito was great. The food at Bloved was okay, we went there for breakfast and dinner. We really liked their hot dog but not the hamburger, the meat needed flavor. Nobody got diarrhea. That is a good sign. Make sure you schedule the hydrotherapy when you are scheduling a massage. We assumed we were going to be able to do it after the massage. They didn't tell us this at the time we scheduled our massages. Now to the Coatis, we were by the pool and my friend's Louis Vuitton wristlet was missing. My husband went to the front to ask if they could look at the cameras to see if someone may have taken it. Security walked wit my husband and went straight to the back of the cabana where we were resting. Like if they already knew where it was. They found the wristlet with all the contents, except three one hundred dollar bills were missing. A staff member had already called the front desk to report the wristlet on the floor. They already knew and they walked straight to where the staff had found it. Whoever found the wristlet first took the three hundred dollars. As soon as you check in they should warn you about these animals stealing small bags. My husband thinks someone trained the animals to steal. In summary, we had a great time, except for the money missing. The coatis can be a little aggressive if you have food. One jumped on my husbands plate and took his hamburger when he went to sit down. You just have to eat standing up so they can't get to your food. They can steal your small bags. Just cover your bags with the towels.

We loved this resort loved the staff, loved the food, loved the entertainment. We both did a massage and the wet sauna, such a relaxing place. We had so much fun and the people who work there are the best. They were on top of everything.

We just returned from a week at Catalonia Playa Maroma and we had a fabulous time! First let me start with check-in which took only about 5 minutes with a welcome drink to sip while we got our rooms. Our bags were at our room before we got to it and the friendliness of the staff was amazing. It was an indication of how our week went. We had trouble with our lock on the second day and they had someone come to our room to fix it. He was there and had the entire card lock replaced within 10 minutes, I could not have asked for faster or better service. We then had a bad storm on the 5th night we were there and had water coming in under our door from the open air hallway outside our room, once again we had housekeeping sent to our room to clean it within 10 minutes of calling the front desk. The resort was really busy but even still the service was absolutely outstanding and always so friendly. The staff always had on masks and sometimes visors and we had our temperature taken anytime we went inside, I felt very safe and they were also always disinfecting which was reassuring as I have just completed chemotherapy and did not feel at all at risk. The food was great and we were able to go to 3 out of 5 of the al la carte restaurants with little to no waiting, we really loved the Mexican restaurant followed by the Italian. The Grill was just ok. Service at all of them was awesome. We did arrive right at 6 though as they did fill up fast. There was a lot of Sargassum on the beach when we got there as the ocean had quite a bad bloom of it however I could not fault the hotel for their efforts to clean it up. They literally had backhoes and dump trucks all day cleaning it up. It was mostly gone by our second last day and we really enjoyed swimming in the ocean. The beach has beautiful sand, lots of shaded lounge chairs and great service that came around about every 15 minutes. Don’t bring food with you to the beach as the Coati will go through your bags and steal it as soon as you turn your back, very funny but not what you want. One even ran off with someone’s fanny pack lol. If you love wildlife you will love this resort. I would recommend this resort in a heartbeat and would love to come back again sometime, we miss it already! Also a word about the rooms, there was always lots of bottled water, and the water pressure in the shower was great and was always hot.

My stay at this property was 5 nights long. The decor is a bit outdated but it is still a beautiful hotel accompanied by a peaceful location. Housekeeping was amazing and we also got turn down service with our type of room, which was totally worth it! Mini bar in the room stayed stocked at all times as well. The pool was able to accommodate all guests at the hotel and was quite nice. The private beach was beautiful as well and you also got served drinks while you laid out by the ocean. Staff was friendly but some were not warm when asking questions. The biggest problem was the food. It was absolutely horrendous for a five star resort. We tried every single restaurant, except for the Japanese themed one, and it could not have been worse. The only saving grace was BLoved, which is only for privileged guests. They had a few things that were actually okay but the menu doesn’t change so it got old very quickly. Don’t even get me started on the buffet. It was worse than my middle school cafeteria! We are from Las Vegas, NV, where hospitality is everything. I am also graduating with my bachelor’s degree in hospitality next year. As I mentioned, all other aspects of the hotel were great! I just don’t understand how the food and food service could be so bad, especially at a so called five star resort.

The trip was made successful by the wonderful staff. My overall favorite part of the trip was laying in a hammock by the drinks being served drinks poolside. This was such a beautiful resort made special with thought and care. Only thing I would say was to have more variety for the buffet options. Other than that wonderful

Dear guest, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to get to know your wonderful experience. Definitely that is the postcard that comes to our mind when we think "Caribbean vacations", a drink in the hand and be lying in the hammock enjoying the sea breeze ... oh, wishing we were there! Glad to hear that you made it happen and that you enjoyed every minute of it, we will share with the whole team this wonderful result. Also, your comment about the variety in the buffet will be received by the kitchen team to take action. Thank you very much again for your preference, we are looking forward to welcoming you with open arms. Best regards,
