Been there Nov 11-18, in Privileged section 5000, which is BTW best positioned building in the resort, room was pool and partial oceanview, beach is one of the best that I've seen in that part of Mexico, it was raining first couple of days and especially nights, but cleared up later on int week, there was some walkways flooding visible, but didn't affect our building, dinning options are abundant, staff is nice, I left my valuables(phone, watch etc) outside of safe few times, nothing went missing, overall we would go back and recommend to everyone
This was our third visit to this resort, last one being 2013. We were blown away with all of the improvements. The little, chaotic snack shack on the beach is now 4 different dining options. We loved them all, but you can have filet mignon every night if you want to. Buffet has something for everyone, good quality and I loved the cerviche at the Mexican as well. Lots of fresh options. Upgrade to Privileged, you won’t regret it. And, I must say service EVERWHERE was great. The coffee shop, taco truck and hotdog truck were snack options and open at 10. So if you missed breakfast, you have a gap filler. Beach was beautiful and beach service?? Anibal and Enrique always made sure your glass was full. I have paid way more for resorts that brag on beach service, but hands down, these guys were great. My only complaint was your beach volleyball set up. We were a group of 8 who love the sport. The net was sagging so far it was about a foot off the ground. That can be dangerous as men spiking the ball in your face is not pleasant. Our group found rope that washed ashore, climbed the poles, and brought the net to the appropriate height. The staff as well as other guests said that’s the best the net has looked in a long time. Hopefully, it will stay that way for awhile. So Catalonia, please maintain your equipment 🙂. Would I go back? Absolutely! We could not have picked a better resort to show our friends what all-inclusive is all about. …
We had to change rooms because the rain flooded the one we were in under the sliding doors. When we got to the new room I realized my earrings were missing and then my roomy realized his earbuds were missing. ( The only valuable things that weren't in the safe) I am most pissed off about it cause we were tipping the cleaning staff really well !!! I told the desk they were missing and heard nothing back and I wasnt going to pursue a finger pointing match at that point. I have nothing to gain by leaving this review so take it as you like.
This took a long time in coming to fruition but 5 adult family members and one grandson went for a week to this beautiful resort and we’d all give it a 10 out of 10! Jesus, Enrique, Josef, Adriana, Wesley, Arturo were all excellent as was the food and the variety of different restaurants. Jesus made my niece’s birthday so special with a private room and extra special service. So thoughtful that a kids menu was offered at all places too. The beach is one of the best and Arturo’s care of the pool was exceptional - the staff always wore smiles and they never stop working! We hated to leave and look forward to a return visit! Make sure you tip these wonderful people whenever they bring you something - so many people don’t!
